  1. Any enemy who would have seen those birds diving down upon them would be sensing Doom :)
  2. Subroc: Go right ahead to do so. Also, I have set up a Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/TSFMod so I dont have to update five-six different forums at once. This thread and the FB will be subject to updates from now on :) You can check out screenshots and give suggestions :) I been wanting to read Den Dolda Alliansen for quite some time now, but economy have prevented it :)
  3. Danish Air Force in OP Mannerheims Shield: Yay or Nay. State your answer and reason below.
  4. Splendid!
  5. Id say this man comes pretty close: http://snopes.com/military/charliebrown.asp
  6. Yea! Its a complete injustice that 1% gets all the high end loot, and we others 99% who cant put in the effort to grind and throw stones are without. GEAR EQUALITY! :D
  7. DarthRevan: Check the very first entry in this thread :)
  8. Ten years have passed since what is commonly called "The Soviet War" in Sweden and Finland. Many hoped that the end of the war would result in a lasting peace for Scandinavia. Both Sweden and Finland openly applies for membership in NATO to protect themselves from the horrors of war and a nuclear bomb program is now a joint-effort between both countries. Despite this, as a gesture of good faith, Soviet sells Finland a number of MiG-21 Figthers and MiG-15 UTI Training aircraft. In 1965, a report is sent to Moscow by the extremist left of Sweden. It claims a nuclear bomb is less then a year away, a shock to the Union who expected such a weapon to be at least five years away. During this time, demonstrations - part of the global peace movement - break out in Sweden and Finland. The leaders of both countries suspect Soviet involvement, and raise funds to the military. February 1966, a small force under Lauri Törni is arrested at a naval base in Murmansk. Suspected as sabotours and spies, they are tried and sent to prison, while Sweden and Finland denies involvement. A few days later, the prison convoy is ambushed with the guards either dead or suspected captured by the unknown attackers. Törnis team is also missing. Soviet angrily demands the surrender of Törni to their custody or war may be declared. While Törni in a press conference from Washington DC agrees to surrender himself, it is clear that war cannot be averted. The report about the nuclear bomb is spooking the Soviets to such a degree that they have declared that they will attack. Knowing that the Swedish Air Force is the key to victory for Scandinavia, they make plans to almost entirely bypass Finland and attack Sweden directly. NATO Agents, active within the Union catch wind of the plans and send them to Stockholm. They choose the plan Mannerheims Shield as their best hope for survival...
  9. If you had checked the big, flashy text in the file, you would have seen this is stand-alone. ;-) Hence, you need only to download this and not any of the other files ;-) In fact, having the old files removed would prob help...
  10. Major changes include: * Completly rewritten ground war * Air Attack strategy now reflects Swedens military objectives during the Cold War * New Aircraft (Tunnan versions mostly, but also Pauls J-33 Venom) * A cleanup of the Swedish Air Force divisions. * More variety in enemy aircraft, including MiG-19s and Tu-4 Bombers.
  11. No. I dont want to do the nightmare that is balancing it for both sides. You could use the Campaign Editor if you want Soviet side - works pretty well when I tried.
  12. View File SF2E: TSF: Operation Isbjörn SF2E: The Scandinavian Front Operation Isbjörn By JonathanRL & Paulopanz. Special thanks to gillg and Wrench who both have been tremendious help!!! Please note: OP Isbjörn 1.2 is stand-alone but can be used to upgrade OP Isbjörn 1.1 to 1.2. Synopsis: In 1956, diplomatic talks about the Baltic Sea region betweenFinland, Sweden and the Soviet Union broke down. Angered and afraid of NATOs influence in Scandinavia, The Soviet Union demands that Finland and Sweden joins the Warsaw pact to ensure the borders of the Union. Both countries refuse. On October 1th, the Soviet Union deploys forces to force the countries into the pact. Sweden, Finland and Norway set condition Isbjörn, activating an alliance against Soviet Agression and rallies to defend Scandinavia... Installation Instructions: Simply unzip it all into your mod folder. I would advise you to use a clean installation so there is as little risk as possible for errors. This mod does not overwrite any original data and can be used alongside any Central Europe themed mod Campaign - in theory. If you own Strike Figthers 2 Israel, unzip the "Install_if_you_have_SFI_Exp1" file into the mod folder as well, and allow any overwrites. Important Notes: SF2 Europe is a requirement. Preferably, use a fully merged installation. The Terrain itself is not very combatible with the other games, hence the requirement. While the DLC 008 Hawker Hunter is not required, its strongly recommended for this campaign. If you have the A-21R from A-Team Site, This campaign has a squadron that flies it - if installed. 14. We all know what this means ;-). Splendid work, Samurai :). Going to check it out at once!
  15. Awww. Thats a well-mannered Hurricane right there :)
  16. Unless one of my Beta testers find something critical, we can expect 1.2 in less then 24 hours. #hype
  17. Thanks, Wrench. Exactly what I am looking for :) Hopefully, this will make the target placement and the ground war overall a little more.. connected :D
  18. Can you please post your campaign files, and verify everything is placed correctly?
  19. Question in topic: For the ground war, I want to place an attack route for the Soviet Advance, so I can also place a defence accordingly. However, progress is slow, since I have to google the location of each city and see where it is on the map, meaning the ground war feels a tad limited. Is there a way I can put the cities location on the map some way? Would help out alot if I could just do that...
  20. In Sweden? Not at all. In Sweden, a Veteran is often seen as a dumb brick, an idiot who loves to kill, a rambo-wannabe whos only purpose in life is to waste tax payer dollars by being in the military. The older generation, who endured the constription usually have alot more understanding, but even then, few understands why anyone volentary would want to go to a foreign land and do their duty. Of course, once they mate a name for themselfs, some of them are proud over their accomplishments, but even in Kosovo, there where harsh words over "Shootbat". Soldiers in uniform can also expect to be held accountable for US Foreign Policy. Why? Because we are in Afganistan. There is no respect for the men and women who have chosen the role as defenders. To thank a soldier for serving is seen as an oddity. Worse yet is the military and the goverments lack of support. Do you know it was only a few years back the Goverment and the Military activly started supporting veterans after leaving Veterans of Kongo, Gaza, Cyprus, Kosovo and Afganistan to fend for themselfs? Most of the work was done by small, volentary organisations. We completly lacked a veteran policy and I dare not guess how many shaken up veterans who have suffered because of it. We finally got a Veterans day, but it remains largely ignored. (Yes, I know I copy-pasted this alot, but there have been three different threads about it and I think its very important :P)

  23. You, Sir, Wins two Internet. I would actually dismiss that. I work part time for a political party, and there is a very interesting trend for people to complain on sites like this when they are not pleased. If they are pleased, they just tell their friends they are pleased and rarely write reviews. When they see the metacritic score is low, they add their part to make it lower to show their dissatisfaction.
  24. I started MW3 Campaign today at a local Internet café at 09.30. I stopped playing at 14.50. I had completed the Single Player Campaign. The story is decent at best (I am still very fond of Soap and Price tought!), there is nothing new to gameplay and the game gave me headache and eyestrain (a biproduct of the Console port - I forgot what its called, but it narrows down the view. Not a problem if you are far away from the screen, and a PC gamer never is.) Boy am I glad I did not buy it!!! I will keep playing Battlefield 3 tought. I love that game!
  25. Found a new feature: Briefing now tells you what aircraft type you Intercept.
