  1. Internet rhetoric has never accomplished anything positive.
  2. I just tried it, works for me... try it again.
  3. INFOCON: pi - Situation Irrational

  4. Right, we used dedicated air-launched drones, though. You wanna bet they're working on stealth versions of those now? Decoys that are hard to see and will fool the enemy into thinking they've just managed to track some stealthy planes and fire on them? I certainly would be making them if I was working in that area. The only issue with converted A/C is they have all the same limitations as far as range, meaning that they'd only be able to launch them from their own soil and be incapable of AAR. Also, if you crowd your bases closest to the front with those, you have to keep your real planes farther back, adding to the logistical nightmare that is combat.
  5. I hope there are never survivors of those incidents.
  6. About time. Those planes were completely obsolete and other than targets or UAVs are now useless.
  7. Perhaps, but given that flight sims are what they are, and WWI is so small an audience, I'm just wondering how many people would actually try to hack it?
  8. It COULD be an addon to Vietnam, as the Tomcat was in service for the closing days of the war there and a fictional extension of the war into the middle 70s would allow the reuse of pretty much all his planes.
  9. That's bizarre.
  10. So you're going for more what the original Flanker and LOMAC did then, granted they didn't have clickable pits? For full disclosure, I've owned all of these sims, so it really doesn't matter to me exactly where it lies in that department.

    Iphone 4

The anit-AT&T rants Jon Stewart has done are pretty funny. Must really suck to live in NYC and have an iphone!
  12. NIN - "The Great Destroyer"
  13. "known by historians as the Holy Grail of military aviation" Really? I don't see any reason why this has any more claim to such a dubious title than many others like Glacier Girl. Journalistic hyperbole really ruins things that are genuinely interesting for me.
  14. That's assuming it gets used and they just don't pop chaff! They also may have a training mode that does simple noise jamming so as not to reveal any "secret sauce" they've got.
  15. Yup, and that's what it looks like. A big old slab of concrete.
  16. I'm getting a crash whenever I click fly with the SMB2. It gets to 90%, then the jet engine loading sound abruptly dies and it freezes until I eventually get "SF2.exe has stopped working". I'm using a merged SF2 install, what did I do wrong?
  17. I forgot the Alamo

  18. You do have to be careful, though, as a word like "mediumcore" looks an awful lot like "mediocre."

    FINALLY

I find it difficult to remember your name, too!
  20. FYI Challenger is buried out there, too, in an unmarked site not far from the Skid Strip. I'm heading back out there this AM to swap out some systems for CE, actually. A1A is a lousy drive!
  21. If they make a gun with a mouse interface I'll be tops! Otherwise, I'm quite bad at it.
  22. Another option is to DL another browser, such as Firefox, that will not have a DL manager that will let you get files at a straight 1-to-1 ratio according to the board.
  23. Well, Rafale is likely more stealthy than the 2000, so they'll have a slight advantage there. Also the Rafale has more modern avionics than the IAF's 2000s, so my guess is they'll put up a better fight than the Su's had from the 2k's back home. Again, not saying the Rafale is or isn't superior to the Su, but it should be superior to the 2000 in most areas.
  24. So there will be 8 flyables out of the box of this version, 4 per side. That's far more palatable to a lot of people.
  25. The new software confuses me...I like the old ways, and get off my lawn!
