View File SF2 Post-War French Navy Seafire Mk.IIIC SF2 Post-War French Navy Seafire Mk.IIIC Pack 8/15/2017 = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = =*UPDATED 5/28/2018*= The package contains the Seafire Mk.IIIC used by 1 Flotille of the Aéronautique Navale of the French Navy, aboard PA Aeromanches in Indochina in the late 1940s. All markings are decals and Decal Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are in DDS format. Serial numbers, while correct for the aircraft should be conisdered "generic" in nature, not representing those that actually served with the AeroNavale. The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0. Wingfold is operated also with the SAK, Shift/9. Guns also grouped, MGs in Group 1, the cannon in Group 2. Pilot figure, engine sound, and a 'new' drop tank are included. Guns and bombs are not included, as these are the standard WW2 British types, available in many weapons packs. When in game, you'll see: Seafire Mk.IIIC FN (CAF) on the aircraft selection dropdown menu. This will diferentiate =THIS= Seafire from any others you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Good Hunting! 5. um, that was me with the "fake insignia". Also did the one for "fake squadron" (SqTail.tga)
  6. Mostly for Erik but for all of us too!

umm....for seeing the UFOs chasing them??
  7. check numerical sequence?? (that's all I can think off!)
  8. If looking for Terrain Objects (buildings in each terrain), of course the **_Types.ini lists the lod names. (but I can see I'm a bit late on the one, as Gerwin's lists cover them)
  9. Here's a trick -- one we've been using since 2004 (when the first extractor was issued by TK): create a "Extracted Cats" folder, like in the ***/***/Savedgames/ThirdWire folder. direct the extractor to dump the extracted files into there. That way, there's no risk of "damaging" the actual game install, and you can then COPY/PASTE the relevant file into the (objects) folder, and make the modifications there. And still have the original file as a backup.
  10. If you watched 5th Element ...

    Multipass!!
  11. not really. in sf2, ALL the lods (even from the terrains) are locked and sealed in ObjectCat.002. (however, they can be viewed with Mue's LOD viewer). They just can't be extracted after the (iirc) 2012 patch. as to a complete list, I don't think one has ever been compiled.

  13. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO P-47D-40 (Late) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 04 August 2017 File Category: P-47 SF2 WW2 ETO P-47D-40 (Late) Pak 7/23/2017 -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = The package represents late model P-47D (bubble top) Thunderbolts as used by the 9th Air Force in the European Theatre of Operations. It represents the -40 version with the additional fin fillet (which can and was also retrofitted to earlier marks). This aircraft is also equipped with "compressibility flaps", that first appeared on the D-30 block This is a brand NEW version, and can be used to replace any earlier mods of this block, or as a replacement for those "no longer available" for download by everyone. This is a complete aircraft package, and contains all the items necessary. The Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0 (zero) is used to open and close the canopy. The "compressibility flaps" operate with the standard 'airbrakes' key (as that's kind of what they are, sort of). 2 skins are included, both for 9th AF squadrons: 22nd FS, 36th FG (post 6/44, Invasion stripes on bottom only) 3T squadron code 394th FS, 367nd FG (post 1/45) 4N squadron code The SF2 "date switch" is used on the 394th skin, and will automatically be selected from January 1945. Users that do not wish this feature, can easily disable it in the Textureset.ini. Both aircraft are in Natural Metal finish, excepting for any squadron color designators, which are painted on. All markings are decals; a pool of serials and 'plane-in-squadron' letters are used on both skins, with decals for the squadron ID numbers/letters. The serial numbers, while correct for this model (D-40) should be considered 'generic' in nature, not representing specific aircraft or units. There are no nose arts. Decal randomization is TRUE. When in-game, you'll see P-47D-30/40 Thunderbolt (CAF) on the aircraft selection drop down screen. This diferentiates it from any other Thunderbolts of these block numbers you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them BEFORE installing this mod!!!. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Good Hunting!! 17. hmm... I wonder if FastCargo still has his max files for the F.8 he did for the KAW project? Might be worth contacting him and seeing if he's willing to share it. I'm sure with some "work" the NF series could be built from that base model.
  18. just for grins and giggles, take at look at the rebuild I did for the stock IsrealME map. I added like 30+ tiles that were BADLY needed, and filled in a lot of gaps left open in the original version (be advised, due do the changes in targeting, it WILL break the stock campaign, if you're running one)
  19. Well, after almost 15 years with the game....some things tend to stick! Remember, both the Isreal2 and Suez maps were done several years before Wings Over Isreal (1stGen) came out. IIRC, Gepard, as he said above, broke them into 2 distinct "modes" Suez for the War of Independence, and most thing up to the 6 Day war. Isreal2 for the 6 Day War and after (Michael, correct me if I'm wrong!) I guess, maybe a some point, I should look at Michael's Suez and give the Israel2 treatment (new tiles, and such) I was REALLY happy with how the Israel2 rebuild/retile went
  20. iirc the "switching" sides is only after being captured in a campaign the 'date switch' can only be used once per target area
