  1. View File Su-27 Gelb Team (Ace Combat Zero) What is it? It's a paint scheme for the Su-27 Flanker of the Belkan Air Force, 5th Air Division, 23rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, "Gelb" Team from the game Ace Combat Zero The Gelb Team, of the Belkan Air Force's 23rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, consists of a two-plane formation of two Su-37 Terminators. The squad's leader, Major Orbert Jager, and his wingman, Lieutenant Rainer Altman, were the pilots assigned to the Gelb Team. They were commonly assigned to interception missions along the Hydrian Line, the southern defence line. Due to their flawless and synchronized flying style, the two pilots became known as the "Coupled Cormorants". In the beginning of the Belkan War in 1995, the Gelb Team was a large part of Belka's air and ground superiority, despite their odd formation. It was the flexibility their formation provided which allowed them to be more effective than a classic fighter squadron. However, when the Allied Forces went on the offensive, the Hydrian Line was stretched thin. The Gelb Team was forced to sortie five times a day in order to maintain the line, but due to the sudden attack, were left with little logistics support and not receiving even basic maintenance for their aircraft. Despite being overused, the "Coupled Cormorants" maintained the battle-line, until they were sent to the Ustian capital, Directus, in order to stop the city from being retaken by the Allied Forces. However, they arrived late into the battlefield, but did engage the Ustian 6th Air Division, 66th Air Force Unit "Galm Team" and were shot down. The flight leader was killed in action, but Gelb 2 his wingman ejected safely and later went on to settle in the city where he was shot down over. **I've used Marcfighter's Su-27 Flanker instead due to it being more commonly used, in addition to the fact that the template is actually available.** Which addon(s) are required? The operational history behind the Espada Squadron is unknown, but it is known that Marcela Vasquez held a relationship with her commander, Alberto Lopez. In October of 1995, Lopez defected to A World With No Boundaries movement that rose in central Osea after the Belkan War, abandoning their base in Sapin and disappearing without a trace. They were not the only soldiers from Sapin to join the group, as Air Force commander Ramos Gonzales and his Suerte Squadron followed suit. On 25 December of 1995, the squadron accompanied the XB-0 Hresvelgr during the bombing of Lumen in the coup d'etat, along with other rebel pilots from the movement, and carried out airstrikes on Valais Air Base later that day. The 32nd FS consisting of both "Wizard" and "Sorcerer" flights, were a key frontline Osean Air Defense Force fighter squadron, which commonly fought over The Round Table, formally known as Area B7R. The squadron had soon became known as the "All Stars of the Round Table" and as the war continued the entire Wizard flight became less and less supportive of the war as well as Osean high command. After the incident which occurred at the Waldreich Mountains on June 6, 1995 in which several nuclear bombs were detonated around the gate to Nord Belka, the Wizard Squadron deserted, disappearing without a trace They joined the radical terrorist group known as A World With No Boundaries and the Wizard's flight leader is believed to be the founder alongside the alleged head director Anton Kupchenko and Anthony Palmer. Wizard later reappeared over Air Space B7R to perform their final fight in the Round Table, during the allied "Operation Thunderbolt". They engaged the Ustian 66th Air Force Unit as they were en route to destroy the group main force at Avalon Dam. It is reported that the engagement was fierce, but resulted in the 32nd Squadron being entirely destroyed and disbanded. I've also included a post-defection paint scheme as I found it weird that the defectors would still be using their own nation's symbols and flags when joining a terrorist organisation dedicated to tearing down borders. A paintscheme featuring the Belkan Luftwaffe's 7th Air Division, 51st Tactical Fighter Squadron "Indigo", from the game Ace Combat Zero. For JAS 39 Gripen-C. The "Indigo Squadron" was a Belkan Air Force squadron that saw action in the Belkan War of 1995. Indigo's pilots were known for their elegant flight style and their pride in combat, which earned them the nicknames "Indigo Order of Belka" and "The Indigo Knights". Though only the flight leader of the Squadron had seen battle during Belka's period of expansionism, the entire Squadron was soon assigned to the Eastern Front during the beginning of the Belkan War. It was here that the Indigo saw much success. For example, on March 30, 1995 the 51st Tactical Fighter Squadron engaged an enemy fighter squadron, believed to be the 3rd Air Division 122nd Tactical Fighter Squadron of the FATO Air Force over the FATO-Gebet Border. This engagement occurred during an operation aimed at capturing Model, Gebetan City. Flight leader Dimitri Heinreich alone shot down nine F-14D Super Tomcats within five minutes of the battle's start. On April 20 of that same year, the Indigo Squadron was redirected over Area B7R, Belka on their way back to base. The team's objective was to shoot down Galm Team of the Ustian Air Force conducting recon on the Round Table. Indigo was not unfamiliar with the area; however, the two aircraft overwhelmed the Belkan fighters, and shot them all down. Which addon(s) are required? 9. View File F-15E Sorcerer (Ace Combat Zero) What is it? It's a paintscheme for the F-15E Strike Eagle of the Osean Air Defence Force, 8th Air Division, 32nd Fighter Squadron, 2nd Flight "Sorcerer", from the game Ace Combat Zero. The 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron "Sorcerer" was a squadron that consisted of eight F-15S/MTDs. First seen by the player during the second battle that took place over Area B7R, also known as the "Round Table". The squadron is very experienced in combat, since they were one of the first and last Osean fighter squadrons on being sent to the front lines during the Belkan War in 1995. They commonly operated within the Belkan Round Table, meaning that each pilot gained experience quickly. However, they began to support their cause less as time went on. Eventually they defected. They joined an organization known as A World With No Boundaries and became a key part of the organization's operations. It is believed that their squadron leader was a founding member, but there is no solid information on this accusation. I've chosen to use the F-15E model over Fastcargo's excellent F-15 Active as that file already has an outstanding Sorcerer skin by Kei Nagase. The F-15E was also already in service in 1995, the year the game takes place in, so it's not too lore-unfriendly. Even though the Strike Eagle may be slower and less manoeuvrable than the Active, I think the Sorcerer pilots would appreciate AMRAAM and air-to-ground capability. What is it? I've also included a post-defection paint scheme as I found it weird that the defectors would still be using their own nation's symbols and flags when joining a terrorist organisation dedicated to tearing down borders. 15. Good day all! I've created this thread for anyone who'd like to request a fictional/Ace Combat themed skin for me to make. Here are a few examples below for reference. I've long been a fan of aviation-themed fictional works, especially the Ace Combat series. I first learnt how to make skins for IL2 a few years ago, and I'd thought that it be nice to create skins for people to enjoy, but are shy to ask because they're not "real" or "immersive". So feel free to ask away, as I enjoy turning fiction into reality. You can either leave a comment on this thread, or send me a private message.

In the opening days of the Belkan War, Ustio lost 70% of their Air Forces and needed to find replacements quickly. The use of "Unofficial Assets" AKA foreign mercanaries became valid and the Galm Team was hired. Since then, they've become one of the most famous units in the war and have become known by their Allies and their enemies. They are supported by AWACS Eagle Eye and are deployed from Valais Air Base. During one encounter with the feared Schwarze Wing they were called "The Mercenary Dream Team". The name stuck with them. The Galm Team had participated in every major battle that the Allied Forces had undertaken, during the Belkan War. View File M-2000C: US Marine Corps Adversary Squadron VMFT-401 "Snipers" M-2000C: US Marine Corps Adversary Squadron VMFT-401 "Snipers" for DCS World 1.5.6 and later VMFT-401 was commissioned in 1986 and in 1987 received the IAI Kfir (designated F-21A) under lease from the Israeli government. The "Snipers" flew the Kfir until 1989, when it transitioned to the F-5E Tiger II. This skin is inspired by the 1987-89 timeframe in which USN and USMC flew the Kfir, a delta-wing aircraft of French origin. The Kfir was built by IAI based on the Mirage V airframe. The closest flyable substitute to the Kfir in DCS is the M-200C, so this is a fictional skin that paints the M-2000C as a USMC adversary. This skins uses the traditional Israeli Air Force desert pattern that was used on some of the VMFT-401 adversary aircraft. Since the original aircraft were leased and kept much of their original markings, so is the case with the M-2000C skins. No original markings (e.g. rescue arrows and safety markings) were subdued to match US paint schemes. However, minor liberties were taken with the pilot skins in order to make the pilots look more American. For Compact Installations - A Note About Autoexec.cfg: Rather than copying texture files to their respective livery folders, I prefer to use a series of common texture folders along with unique filenames. This allows a single instance of many of my common textures, and keeps the hard drive footprint to a minimum (especially nice if you run a SSD for your system drive). The installer will add a series of folders to the DCS Texture path; if you do not have these folders created, then it is no problem. The autoexec.cfg included will automatically point to the Texture folder in your Saved Games\DCS folder, and regardless of whether you run the Open Alpha, Open Beta, or Release version of DCS, the path will always point to your Saved Games\DCS\Texture folder. Again, this saves space on your hard drive. If you use your own Autoexec.cfg, then when prompted to overwrite you can click "no". This will create a file called autoexec.new, and you can manually make the updates as you like. Just don't modify the top line with the file date; this is used by the installer for version control. However, feel free to include it in your existing autoexec.cfg, so you don't get prompted to overwrite until there's another update to the autoexec.cfg. If you inadvertently overwrite your autoexec.cfg, it is actually backed up as autoexec.old. Just open it and copy the appropriate information to the new file. For Traditional Installations or JSGME Compatible Extractions: If you don't wish to use the shared texture folder and custom autoexec.cfg, you have a couple of other options available. Selecting the Traditional Install copies all textures to each livery folder, then copies each livery to each version of DCS detected (up to three versions, including release, open alpha and open beta). As a result, the listed hard disk space requirement assumes all three DCS versions are installled. Each skin is independent and portable. If you wish to install to a location other than your Saved Games folder, you must select the Single JSGME Extraction, or else the installation will fail for not detecting existing Saved Games\DCS folders. Selecting this option will create a JSGME compatible install that can be dropped directly into your JSGME _MODS folder for installation. Each skin is independent and portable. For either of these installation options, if there is an issue with textures not displaying, then it is likely a problem with the installer. Please let me know what textures are missing so that I can troubleshoot the issue. If you have any squadron requests, please PM me. If possible, provide top and profile views of the aircraft, preferably line art (much easier to extract color), and for CAG/CO birds, a close up of the tail fin is greatly appreciated. For Traditional Installations: If there is an issue with textures not displaying, it is likely a problem with the installer. 24. File Name: US Navy Attack Squadron 97 (VA-97) "Warhawks" Skin Pack File Submitter: HomeFries File Submitted: 10 October 2016 File Category: SU-25T Skins VA-97 was commissioned in 1967 and flew the A-7 Corsair. In 1968, the squadron deployed to Vietnam as part of Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) embarked on the USS Constellation. VA-97 conducted a second combat deployment with CVW-14 in 1969, where they flew over 2500 sorties. VA-97 conducted two more Vietnam combat deployments in 1971 and 1972. The Warhawks returned to Vietnam for a fifth time in 1975 in support of Operation Frequent Wind, the evacuation of Saigon. In early 1980, VA-27 provided air cover for Operation Eagle Claw, the failed attempt at rescuing the American hostages in Iran. In January 1991, the Warhawks transitioned to the F/A-18 and were redesignated Strike Fighter Squadron 97 (VFA-97). Today the Warhawks fly the F/A-18E Super Hornet out of NAS Lemoore, CA, and they are slated to be the first fleet squadron to transition to the F-35. This is a fictional skin pack of Su-25Ts painted like the A-7E Corsair II in accordance with MIL-STD-2161A(AS) with VA-97 markings circa 1986. There are four different skins with unique Modexes (side numbers) and historically correct BuNos (serial numbers). This allows you to create packages of unique aircraft. Each skin has a "normal" version and a weathered version. Weathered skins have a bleached effect as if the aircraft were heavily exposed to the sun for months on end. Normal skins include pilots with green flightsuits, while weathered skins include pilots with desert flightsuits. Most markings have been westernized, and the pilots have been given US style flightsuits with US markings. The helmet remains Russian made (but with a black oxygen mask). Note: this skin pack uses an EXE installer that creates common texture folders and an autoexec.cfg (if you already have one, you can make manual changes). I would like your feedback on this system; if it works I intend to apply it to my other skin packs.
