  1. A-7E (74) VA-72 Bluehawks skin pak -SF2/SF2NA

A-7E Corsair II (74) VA-72 "Bluehawks" Skin Pak
    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Required; and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!- =

Again, as stated above this is for the stock 3rdWire A-7E_74 ONLY!! If you do not possess SF2NA (or other games that may have this aircraft accessable -cause I don't remember if it was or wasn't before!!!), DO NOT download this mod, as you will =NOT= be able to use it.

This is the companion skin for the recently released A-7E_74 VA-46 "Clansmen" skin. It represents the sister squadron, VA-72 "Bluehawks" both of whom were based aboard USS John F. Kennedy during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
These were to last 2 operational Corsair II squadrons in USN service, as the type was retired upon the JFK returning to port.

It is HIGHTY suggested you have the SF2/SF2NA Skin pak available at:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/12822-a-7e74-lo-viz-skinini-pak-for-sf2sf2na/

as there are some decals called that reference some in that pack. Several decals have been repurposed and repainted from an original FOTF skin mod for many year ago. Many new decals have also been created (note: the first 12 BuNums have been remade from the originals, and may actually represent aircraft that served with this squadron.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them before installing!

    Happy Landings!

  2. A-7E(74) Lo-Viz Skin/Ini Pak for SF2/SF2NA

A-7E Corsair II (74) Skin Pak

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Required; and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!- =

Again, as stated above this is for the stock 3rdWire A-7E_74 ONLY!! If you do not possess SF2NA (or other games that may have this aircraft accessable), DO NOT download this mod, as you will =NOT= be able to use it.

However, as the standard or garden variety A-7E shares the same mapping (as do all the 3W Corsairs), it is VERY possible that these skins would be usable on them, with a simple rename to fit. BUT...as the stock A-7E has an end-of-service-date of 1976, that may be a moot point.

    Read on...

This pack contains 2 new "TPS" lo-viz skin and decals sets. These skins were created from a new Home Grown Template ™ and are in JPG format. The templates will also be available for use, once I upload them.

Also included are slightly modified Data and Loadout inis. The wingfold (which was NOT active at ALL before) and canopy are operated via manual animation keys; the Usual Suspects - Shift/0 for canopy and Shift/9 for wingfold.
The loadout ini includes some changes to standard dumb-bomb loads, giving you a bit more striking power.

As I like to have Altantic & Pacific Fleet squadrons represented by at least one skin each, the skins in this pak are:

VA-25 "Fist of the Fleet" (circa late 80s/early 90s)
VA-46 "Clansmen" (in the Corsair's final deployment during Desert Shield/Desert Storm)

These skins BOTH have the "StartDefaultDate=" set for 1982, an approximate date based on my research. This will OVERRIDE any other stock skins, so be aware of this fact. This was done for historicality, and to encourage other skinner/decalers to step up and fill in some of the gaps. Get to it people!

All markings on both are decals, making it MUCH easier for other squadron to be created in the Lo-Viz scheme. Almost all decals are new; some are repurposed from other mods. The 1st 10 Bunms for the Clansmen are newbuilds, based upon BuNums from a FOTF original skin.

I think the Corsair II is a very overlooked aircraft, and it's time to give it a little love.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them before installing! Please browse the Notes section for other illuminations.

  3. SF2 F-19 "Ghostrider" (aka Flying Frisbee) Upgrade Pak

F-19 "Ghostrider" (aka "Flying Frisbee) Upgrade Pak for SF2

    REQUIRES a Full-4 Merged, -or at minimum- SF2:E and/or SF2:I

Warning/Disclaimer: As stated above, this is designed for a Full-4 Merged install of SF2. This is because I made use of MANY stock items, in particular the cockpit from the F-15A in SF2:E. You may be able to use the F-15A Baz from SF2:I as they use the same cockpit lods; this has =NOT= been tested, as I have a Full-4 Merged, and it accesses pretty much everything. You are encourged to test this on your own. As the avionics/cockpit inis are supplied, all you need is the cockpit LOD they're pointing to (and, of course, all the bmps/tgas for the interior bits and HUD/Radars, which are stored in the various ObjectData cats.)

    -------------------

This is an upgrade/modification of Julhelm's F-19 "Ghostrider" Stealth Strike Fighter. It has gone through several tweeks to enhance weapons carriage, weapons types, some minor reskinning and the addition of new serial number decals. 50 serial Decals are supplied, for both skins (ie: the same ones used twice, but the 9th TFS has been repainted a darker gray to match the original lettering, and it also gets a new tail code decal). Lighting has been enhanced, with the addition of landing lights, 'rotary' strobe beacons and the missing tail lights re-added. Additional armor protection has been added to 'vital' areas. Engine sounds have been enhanced by (re)using the F-15 engine sounds from the F-15 Super Pak. A revamped, SF2-style version of my original 'artwork'hangar screen is included, as well as new paint chips with the 2 squadron patchs for skin selection.

No changes have been effected to the Flight Model or RCS modifiers. As much as possible, I've tried to stick with 'stock' weapons, but it =IS= reccomended that you have Gunny's Ordanance Shop installed for the Mavericks and the late-model LGBs & CBUs. These weapons are =NOT= included!! A-A loadouts are restricted to IRMs =ONLY= (as stated in "Red Storm Rising"). See "Notes" below for more on weapons. Other targeting enhancments include the addition of a permanant on-board laser designator and Electo-Optical viewer (read: FLIR/LLTV). The auto-speed canopy has been changed to a manual animation key, use shift/0 to open and close it. A seat has been added for the pilot to 'park it' on.

As always, fully detailed install instruction are below. And, as always, it's suggested you read them through before installing this mod.

  4. Yak-3RD Mixed Propulsion Fighter by Pasko

Yakovlev Yak-3RD "What If..." Mixed-Propulsion Fighter by Pakso
    = For SF2, Any & All versions (Full-4 Merged Prefered*) =

*Note: Full-4 merged prefered tag is because some decals used are referenced from SF2:I*

Modifications, tweeks, FM enhancements, and so forth to Pakso's Prop/Rocket fighter.
This makes the assumption (oh! that word!) the 3RD was put into serial production, instead of the just the 2 prototypes that were historically built. As was the original release, it is "As Is" with all the flaws and warts and etc. See the "Notes" section for more details.
This package replaces the one I uploaded some long time back at CombatAce.

As expected, the canopy opens/closes via manual animation keystroke -the (in)famous Shift/0.
No weapons or guns are supplied with this pak; they are the same ones included in the Yak-9U pak recently released, and should be available in Gunny's Weapons Pak.

It also should be noted, the Mission Profiles that can be flown have been limited to A-A: CAP, Intercept (due to expected range limitations), and Recon just for fun (with drop tanks).

All new skins, from new Home-Grown Templates ™ in 1024x are supplied. One is Natural Metal, and other is overall Medium Gray. See the "Notes" section regarding the 2-tone Gray camo supplied, but not activated (severe LOD mapping issues)

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read for further information and stuff like that there. For historical purposes, Pasko's original readme is included.
This will give a (relatively) decent "What If..." for WW2 and the Post-War period; the Beginning of the Cold War, hence it location in the "What If Hangar".

  5. A-4B Skyhawk, VMA-331 Bumblebees Skin/Decals Pak

A-4B Skyhawk VMA-331 Bumblebees Skin Pak

-- For SF2, Any and All that have the A-4B Accessable

This skin/decal represents VMA-331 Bumblebees as seen in 1962/63 when based at NS Rossevelt Roads, Puerto Rico and NS Guantanamo Bay (aka Leeward Field), Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis
All new, historically accurate BuNum decals have been created (thank you Skhawaks.org!!). Unfortunately, the listing didn't match Modex to BuNum, so it's not perfectly accurate.

Other mods include a tweeked data and loadout ini. The loadout ini changes the STRIKE bombs to use 1000 pounders. Data ini changes include activating the canopy via a manual animation key (use Shift/0 to open and close), and the addition of the landing light.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop).

  6. A-4C (65) Skyhawk, VSF-1 "Warhawks"

    A-4C (65) Skyhawk, VSF-1 "Warhawks" Skin/Decal Pak
    = For SF2 (Full-4 Merged Prefered) and/or SF2:V =

*Can be used in any install that has access to the A-4C_65, which comes from SF2:V. Hence, the 'Full-4 Merged' tag is applicable *

This skin set replicates A-4C Skyhawks as used by Antisubmarine Warfare Fighter Squadron 1 (VSF-1) during the 1965-1971 timeframes. I won't go into defining the "VSF" concept, you can research that on your own. (Google is your friend). Think of the Composite Squadron concept, as used during WW2 on the CVE Escort Carriers. These aircraft gave a modicum of air defense for the CVS-class carriers, while still maintaining their Light Attack Role ™

All but 3 of the decals are new; those were reused from a 1stGen mod by Paul Nortness (Fist of the Fleet). All BuNums are 100% historically accurate for A-4Cs as used by VSF-1. Unfortunatly, I was unable to match Modex to BuNum, so some inaccuracy in inherent. Research shows (via photo evidence), of some Dets have Modex numbers in the 570 and 580 ranges. I've chosen the slightly non-historical route for those. Please see the "Notes" section below for more information on BuNum assigned to aircraft on USS INDEPENDENCE.
Decal randomization is set to TRUE, so be at least at the June 2011 patch level (or whichever one gave it to us)

A couple of inis are included; the loadout ini has some minor changes for a couple of mission profiles. The data ini has had the landing light added, and (of course!) the canopy activated, via manual animation. Use shift/0 to open and close it.
All 'standard' Skyhawk mission profiles are retained.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

  7. Yak-9 Pak for SF2 (by Pasko)

Yakovlev Yak-9U, -9UT and -9P "Frank" by Pakso

    = For SF2, Any & All versions (Full-4 Merged Prefered) =

*Note: Full-4 merged prefered tag is because some decals used are referenced from SF2:I*

MOdifications, tweeks, FM enhancements, and so forth to Pakso's Yak-9 WW2/Korean Era/Early Cold War Soviet & satellite countries fighter.

    This package contains 3 aircraft:

    Yak-9U
Yak-9UT (made from the data ini supplied by Pasko on the original release) *Note: these have the plywood aft fuselage, hence no rivets*
Yak-9P will full metal fuselage (export version?)

The 9U & 9P have the standard arament of 2 12mm machine guns and single 20mm cannon through the prop hub. The 9UT has 2 20mm upper deck cannon and a 37mm gun through the prop hub (T= anti-tank. Works great against bombers too!)

All aircraft have new, enhanced FMs for SF2. While pretty close, there is probably some room for improvement - this is !ENCOURAGED! for those with the skills and time to accomplish.
All aircraft have completely NEW skins, created from a Home-Grown Templates (patent pending), and how have the correct color schemes, as well as corrected/new panel and rivet lines for the variant (9U/UT is different from 9P). All national marking and 'Bort' numbers are stock, in-game decals. Userlists are incuded for all three.

All guns and weapons, excepting bombs which are stock, are provided in this pak, as well as Pasko's pilot figure. As expected, the canopy opens/closes via manual animation keystroke -the (in)famous Shift/0. A new in-line V-12 sound, from many of the WW2 mods, is included.
A quick note on guns: the nose cannon on ALL variants has been set as "Fire_Secondary_Gun", so make sure you have a seperate button mapped for it's use.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read for further information and stuff like that there. For historical purposes, Pasko's original readme is included.

  8. P-51D Mustang, RAAF, 77 Squadron

    P-51D, RAAF, 77 Squadron Skin/Decal Pak

    =For SF2, Full-4 Merged Installs =WITH= Expansion Paks 1 & 2 (reccomended!)

*Please Note: Exp2 added several new nations to the userlist, and LOTS of decals for the Mustang. I do not know if this pak will work otherwise (meaning: with Exp 1 only). You are, of course, encouraged to test on your own*

This pak contains a skin & decal set replicating CA-18 Mustang Mk.20s from RAAF 77 Squadron from 1948-1951, during the Occupation of Japan and during the Korean War. The serial numbers are 100% historicaly accurate for those airframes assigned 77 Sqdn during that time frame (some actually didn't participate in Korea, as they suffered some attrition due to various and sundry malfunctions). Number randomization has been activated, so make sure you're at LEAST at the June,2011 patch level.

  9. "Civilian" Gas Truck

    Civilian Fuel Truck
    = SF/Wo* & SF2 series Games (Any and All!) =

A simple repaint of the stock Zil Fuel truck into something more 'civilian' looking for use around airports and such like. The templates are supplied (they're 1024x, so easy to work with) to allow other skinners the opportunity to create other skins. Also supplied, is a red Phillips 66 skin, easily swapped.

The inis supplied herein are in ANSI format, allowing for use in both 1stGen SF/Wo* and SF2 series.

See the 'To Install' section below for more notes, and how to add to Terrains as a seperate item via _types and _targets editing.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! They'll all add a little color to an otherwise drab setting.

  10. Super Etendard & Super Etendard (M) for SF2 by Foxmonter

Dassault Super Etendard & Super Etendard(M), SF2 Combo Pak (by FoxMonter)

    For SF2, Any & All (Full-4 Merged Prefered - At Minimum, =MUST= have SF2:I AND SF2:V)

*Note: the reason for these requirements are the cockpits used on =BOTH= versions of the aircraft. They reference 2 very different cockpits and avionics displays, only truely available in a Full-4 Merged installs.*

*Note x2: There are 2 seperate readmes in this Combo Pak - one each for the Super Etendard and Super Etendard (Modernized). It's suggested that after downloading this pak, you unzip to a temp folder or your desktop, and =READ= both before installing, as well as this complete readme. Install instruction are, as usual, the same*

This package contains 2 complete aircaft - the early version, Super Etendard as used by the French Navy and Argentinian Navy, and the late 90s to-date version, the Super Etendard (Modernized) as used only by the French Navy. All skins, inis, decal, weapons, etc are included. Specific details for each are in their own readmes, inside this archive. You'd do well to read BOTH!!! (no kidding! really!!) All new SF2-style hangar & loading screens are included (exceptng the SuE loading, it's the orignal converted to jpg).

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! I'd reccomend that you unzip this archive FIRST (to a temp folder or your desktop), and READ through this readme document, and the other 2, before installing.
The extensive "Notes" section in each readme also contains a Change List of modifications and other impertinant information. All original readmes are included, for historical reference.

  11. Hawker's EA-6B Prowler Upgrade/Update Pak for SF2

    EA-6B Prowler, for SF2 by Hawker, Agemmenon & 331KillerBee

    = For SF2, Any and All (but designed for Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA) =

*It should work fine in non-SF2NA installs*

REMINDER: you =MUST= install this update package to the original download. The location URL and Full instructions ™, are below in the "To Install" section. It is also HIGHLY reccomended you read this entire document, after unzipping but BEFORE installing over the original download. There are a couple of extra steps you'll be taking...

The package builds further on the original SF2 conversion done by 331KillerBee, and expands the usable skin set "a bit."
Included is a mix of early Hi-Viz markings, and later Lo-Viz markings. They've been diferentiated by a "guesstimated" transition year of 1985, when the LoViz automaticlly appears. The HiViz skins are listed normally; the LoViz have the "lo" suffix. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.

    Skins contained herein are:

    HiViz -

    VAQ-132 "Scorpions"
    VAQ-134 "Garudas"
    VAQ-140 "Patriots"
    VMAQ-2 "Death Jesters" (later version?)
VMAQ-2 "Playboys" (early - folder is called Playboy)

    Lo-Viz -

    VAQ-130lo "Zappers"
    VAQ-135lo "Black Ravens"
    VAQ-136lo "Guantlets"
    VAQ-138lo "Yello Jackets"
    VAQ-139lo "Cougars"
    VMAQ-1 "Banshees"

The folder and main ini have been renamed "EA-6B_AH" (for Agemmnon & Hawker) to keep this aircraft seperate from the stock TW EA-6B version that comes with SF2:NA. To further differentiate it from the 3W model, on the Aircraft Selection Drop-down, it will read as
"EA-6B Prowler ICAP II" (KB's work -not mine!)

The install method being used here will cause you to do a few more steps =BEFORE= installing, but they are all outlined in the "To Install" section. The new carrier lines for SF2NA have been added, but for End Users without SF2NA, it should pose no issues for use. The earlier Game Engine will simply ignore them. You will still be able to set them for carrier usage via the mission editor or campaigns.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
No, seriously ... unzip this archive and =READ= everything first!!! It's exceptionly important you do so....and equally important, to follow the instructions exactly as I've given them to you!

With thanks to all the skinners and ini dancers to kept this old mod from disappearing! KB's original readme is included, as are one or two from the skin downloads.

  12. KA-6D Refuel Intruder, For SF2 by The Intruders

KA-6D Refuling Intruder, for SF2 by The Intruders
    = For SF2, Any and All (meaning: Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA) =

This is a semi-complete mod, with almost everything needed to unzip and install. All aircraft inis, lods, new drop tank, etc are included. However ... the cockpit, other than an RWR bmp is NOT! You'll have to supply your own, as outlined in posts on the CA Message Boards. You must also have 1stGen WoV or WoE in your possession to extract the necessary cockpit parts to install to this mod. All I've suppled are the updated inis, and the single RWR bmp (that replaces the dash clock). You must also have the original 1stGen Download of this aricrat to install this Pak to. See "To Install" for more detailed instructions. And follow them to the letter!

A wealth of skins are included in the pak; pretty much ALL the 1stGen KA-6 skins I could find. Most, if not all, are the work of AllenJB & Paul Nortness. You'll have, in Full Color:

    VA-35 (USS Nimitz?)
    VA-35cs (USS Coral Sea)
    VA-42 (USS Forestall)
    VA-52 (USS Kitty Hawk)
    VA-65 (USS Independence)
    VA-65e (USS Enterprise)
    VA-115 (USS Midway)
    VA-128 (no ship listed)
    VA-145 (USS Ranger)

    In Lo-Viz markings:

    VA-35lo (USS Saratoga)
    VA-42lo (USS Forestall)
    VA-52lo (USS Kitty Hawk)
    VA-75lo (USS John F. Kennedy)
    VA-85lo (USS Enterprise)
    VA-95lo (USS Abraham Lincoln)
    VA-176lo (no ship listed)
    VA-185lo (USS Midway)
    VA-196lo (USS Coral Sea)

All Lo-Viz skins have a default start date of 1985 (my best guess as to the date-of-transition. Feel free to correct, and post the actual date). Decal radiation is set to TRUE for all skins, due to they're extreamly low amount (4-5 Modex/BuNum) per aircraft.

All inis have been brought as close as possible to the latest (3/2012 and/or SF2:NA) standards. The FM remains untouched, but small changes in the Data INI add manually folding wings (Shift/9), and I've adjusted the auto deployment speeds for the refueling drogue. The avionics have also been slightly adjusted.
Again, there have been some statement added that may only work with installs patched to 3/2012 and/or SF2:NA. Use in other, earlier dated installs is at the End Users risk.

It should be noted, as AFR is NOT supported in-game, this aircraft mostly exists as "Eye Candy", to be seen parked on deck, airfield ramps, and just flying around turning jet fuel into noise.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
No, seriously ... unzip this archive and =READ= everything first!!! It's exceptionly important you do so....

  13. MiG-9 "Fargo" SF2 Upgrade Pak

    MiG-9 "Fargo" (by Timmy & Lexx_Luthor) -- SF2 UpDate Pak

    = For SF2, Any/All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) =

An upgrade pack for Timmy/Lexx_Luthor's early Soviet Jet Fighter. This mod will replace any others, including the one I did several years ago. This'll give another early 1stGen Jet Fighter for the Red side, for whatever use you see fit to put it to.

This is the complete aircraft package, with a new cockpit - a slight modification of Stary's Mig pit-, all new 90% SF2 compliant FM, and 7 skins (all the ones I could find). All weapons (ie: the drop tank) are included. You should already have the necessary guns, so they are not supplied. A pilot figure and seat are also included, as are new Hangar and Loading screens. Also new are dds damage textures.

The skins are basically the same as when first released, with the additon of a nicer natural metal Soviet by p10ppy (shown in the accompanying screenshot). The Soviet skins have been renamed slightly. Check the drop down on the loadout screen for the selection. Included is Timmy's fictional Polish AF camo*. Where necessary, all decal inis have been pointed to stock items; decal randomization is set to TRUE for all skins.
*Please note, the Polish skin references bort numbers that may only be available in SF2E*

  14. MiG-21F Fishbed-C, Fuerza Aérea Revolucionara (Cuba)

MiG-21F Fishbed-C, Fuerza Aérea Revolucionara (Cuba)

= For SF2, Any and All, Merged or Not, With Access to MiG-21F =

As stated above, you MUST have an install that has the MiG-21F in it. As this is pretty much ALL installs, it should work in all types, merged or not. It also assumes you've made the aircraft flyable. If not, consult the CombatAce Knowledge Base for instructions.

The skin is a base natural metal with a partly repainted (from a partial template) tail bmp to add the FAR rudder flash. The stock in-game Bort number decals are used, as all the photographic evidence seems to point that way. (in fact, other than the repainted tail bmp, everything is stock!)

The latest (as of 1/11 patch) _data ini is included, as I've activated the canopy, and included a modified Loadout ini, that adds the centerline drop tank to the base Air-to-Air loadout, and reset the RECON loadout. The engine sound has been set to the old TMF "MiGEngine.wav" (not supplied), but there are several good/better ones out there for you to find.
A replacement main ini (MiG-21F.ini), and a NEW avionics ini that activates the gun-ranging radar are included. When installing allow for the overwrite. Any other skins will be automatically added (so, not to worry!)

The canopy is activated via a manual animation key (use shift/0 to open and close it). As all the decals used are stock, there are no additional decals to be added.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highyl detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them ....

  15. MiG-15bis Fagot-B, Fuerza Aérea Revolucionara (Cuba)

    MiG-15bis Fagot-B, Fuerza Aérea Revolucionara

    = For SF2, Full-4 Merged, PLUS Expansion Pak 1 =

As stated above, you MUST have -at minimum!!- SF2 (full-4 merged) plus and/or SF2I with Expansion Pak 1, as this added the 15bis to our aircraft stable. As I have a full-4 merged, plus both expansions, I can't say for sure it's available any other way.

The skin, is a base natural metal, with a partly repainted (from a partial template) tail bmp to add the FAR rudder flash. The stock in-game Bort number decals are used, as all the photographic evidence seems to point that way. (in fact, other than the repainted tail bmp, everything is stock!)

The latest (as of 1/11 patch) _data ini is included, as I've activated the canopy, added a different pilot (my craptastic PilotER), and a seat ("liberated" from Pakso's old version -- fits quite nicely, too!) for him to park it on. The 'main' ini is also included, as I've included Ordway's Mig Pit, making the aircraft player-flyable (as if you all haven't done that alreadly!). The engine sound has been set to the old TMF "MiGEngine.wav" (not supplied), but there are several good/better ones out there for you to find.

The canopy is activated via a manual animation key (use shift/0 to open and close it).

  17. SF2NA A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79") Skin Pak 1

    A-6E TRAM (aka "A-6E_79) Skin Pak 1

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged Required; and/or SF2:NA -ONLY!!- =

Again, as stated above this is for the stock 3rdWire A-6E_79 ONLY!! If you do not possess SF2NA, DO NOT download this mod, as you will =NOT= be able to use it.

The skin pak is designed to be used with my A-6E_79 Upgrade/Fixit/WhatHaveYou Pak, located here at CA at the following URL:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/12760-3w-a-6e-tram-upgrade-kit/

The shins herein are conversions from the 1stGen A-6E Tram by MontyCZ. I'm really not sure who created the original skins/decals, but suspect it may have been Paul Nortness. The Lo-Viz skins are new creations, from the TRAM template I created a few weeks back, and the stock 3W Gray/White skin is used for VA-128, so =ONLY= the decals are being reused.

The skins in this pak are:

    =Standard GullGray/White:

    VA-128 "Golden Intruders"

    =In Lo-Viz:

    VA-42 "Green Pawns" (called VA42lo)
    VA-52 "Knight Riders" (called VA52lo)
VMA-533 "Hawks" (called VMA533lo) as seen during Desert Shield/Storm when based in Bharain.

There is no "StartDefaultDate=" line for the Lo-Viz skins, as yet. When more have been created/converted, then it's suggested to add that line to the textureset inis with the date of 1985. That's a fair apporximation of the transition. For now, you'll just have to
select them from the drop down on the loadout screen.

Some of the decals have been modified from their original form to give a better 'fit' on the 3rd Wire model. To that end, some will notice the checks on the rudder for the Hawks is a seperate decal, whereas it was a single piece before. For the "Knight Riders", I've tried as best as possible to get the notch on the knight's helmet to line up with the position light (same as in Real Life; the light represented the Knight's eye).

Decal Randomization is set to TRUE, but be advised of some oddities; these may be caused by the lack of a full squadron's numbers (TK has always reccomended a minimum of 18) or something odd induced by NA or 3/2012 patch. I personally suspect it's the lack of numbers.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them before installing!

    -- For FULL-4 Merged SF2 (Prefered) and/or SF2:V =ONLY!!!= --

(it can acutally be used in any SF2 install that has the access to the A-1H)

This pak will add a new skin/decal set for the stock 3rdWire A-1H Skyraider. It represents aircraft from VA-52 "Knightriders" from the USS TICONDEROGA ~ August, 1964, during the time of the attacks on the US Destroyers, and the "Flaming Dart" retalitory raids.
It is designed to add to the "A-1H Update Pak" released some months ago. You can find the update pak at CombatAce, at the following URL:

A highly reccomended mod, if I do say so meself <grin>

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install (read: drag and drop).

(it can acutally be used in any SF2 install that has the access to the stock A-1H)

This skin/decal represents VA-65 Tigers as seen in 1962/63 when based USS ENTERPRISE (CVAN-65) during her Mediterranean Cruise and "Caribbean Cruise" of Oct/Nov 62 as part of CvG-6. All new decals have been created for the various markings and such. (well, not ALL -- some are reused from my other Skyraider skin paks, but you get the idea).
For use with or without my A-1H Skyraider Upgrade Pak. (available in the CombatAce SF2/Skins/Downloads section)

  20. A-1H Skyraider, VA-105 (ATG-201, 1958)

    Douglas A-1H (AD-6) Skyraider, VA-105 Skin/Decals pak
    - For SF2 (Any and All, but Full-4 Merged Prefered*) -

*Note: you MUST, at the very least, have SF2:V for the A-1H. Hence, the 'Full-4 Merged Prefered' warning label*

This skin pack reproduces A-1H (AD-6) Skyraiders of VA-105 "Gunslingers" circa 1958, as seen aboard USS Essex (CVA-9) as part of ATG-201, during the Beirut Crisis of that timeframe, supporting the US Marines during the intervention.

Can (or Should?) be applied to my Skyraider Upgrade Paks, available here at CombatAce.

  21. 3rdW A-1J Skyraider, Skins and Ini Update Pak

A-1J "Skyraider" Skin and Ini Update Pak

    -- For FULL-4 Merged SF2 (Prefered) and/or SF2:V =ONLY=!!!

This package contains inis, full skin and decals sets, a few weapons and a complete cockpit, to make the stock AI-only A-1J "Skyraider" flyable. While the cockpit is not 100% correct (or, more truthfully, close), it does have all the gauges working as they would be in a propeller aircraft. Until such time a a proper AD-7/A-1J pit arrives, this WILL have to suffice.

Ini edits include some enhanced AI statements, corrected ammo counts, fuel quantity, on-board countermeasures (chaff and flares for Vietnam era usage) the addition of the running/formation lights on the tail, a landing light, and a working canopy (use Shift/0 to open and close). Wingfold is NOT activated, due to odd movement and placement issues with the outer wing stores locations. At some point in the future, I'll try and get them dailed in properlly, so the wingfold will work and the weapons follow the wing.

A new 300 gallon drop tank has also been included, as the LOD lacks the nodes for built-in drop tanks as seen on other SF2 aircraft (even though called out in the data ini, it just ain't there!). And just for extra added enjoyment, the "Special Weapon", as used by VA-25 is also included. Yup, the world (in)famous Toilet Bomb.

A new SF2-style hangar screen, and a new loading screen are also included. All decals are new, with correct Modex, squadron codes and BuNums. It should be noted, that in Vietnam era squadrons (and possibly before) most Skyraider units used a mix of AD-6/7 (or A-1H/J after 1961), so these may not be fully historical, as the BuNums reflect only the one type (AD-6 or A-1H) per squadron. But the BuNums ARE 100% accurate for the models they indicate; and in the cases where photos or profile were available, the actual aircraft represented.

Skins included in this set are:

VA-25 "Fist of the Fleet", USS Coral Sea, 11/1966
VA-115 "Arabs", USS Kitty Hawk, 3/1966
    VA-145 "Swordsmen",USS Intrepid 9/1967
VA-152 "Wild Aces", USS Oriskany, 8/1965

The new "A-1J.INI" has been edited to move these new skins to the top, and the original 3W "USNGray1" and "USAFCAmo1" to the bottom, making it easier to select the USN/USMC marked skins.

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires, to make it a LOT easier to install.

  23. SF2 KAW Era AD-4NL Skyraider (by MontyCZ)

SF2 Korean War Era AD-4NL Skyraider (by MontyCZ)

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

This is an SF2/SF2NA upgraded version of my previously released AD-4NL Skyraider. It is designed to replace all my older versions for use in the SF2 environment.

This mod represents AD-4NL's from VC-35 "Night Hecklers". The squadron was deployed in various "Dets" of 2-4 aircraft aboard almost all USN Carriers during Korea.

The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, with all the SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'.
Skins are still in bmp format, I didn't bother converting them to jpg. Most markings are decals and Modex/BuNums are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by this squadron, as I couldn't run them down; consider them 'generic' for this purpose.

All the necessary weapons, effects, sounds and etc are included, as is the NEW Skyraider cockpit by Dels.
Standard Animations keystrokes are used for the canopy (Shift/0) and wingfold (shift/9)

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. There is important information on Night Operations (what VC-35 specalized in)
You may consider this 'Ver.3' of the AD-4NL.

  24. SF2 AD-2/3 Skyraider, Korean War

    SF2 AD2/3 Skyraider

= For Your Korean War Flying Pleasure =
    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: you MUST have SF2:V as part of your merged install. This aircraft references the A-1H lod from SF2V,
and will =NOT= work without it.*

This is a mod of the 3rdWire A-1H Skyraider, to the earlier AD-2/3 version as used by the USN and USMC
during the Korean War. It was thrown together as an experiment some long time ago, and I thought you all would like to have it, "just because". The aircraft is supplied with 2 skins:

VA-35, "Black Panthers" US Navy, USS Leyte 1950 *
VMA-121 "Wolf Raiders", USMC, Pyongteak, 1950-53

This is a complete aircraft (well, minus the Stock Lod ™ of course!), with a new radar-equipped cockpit
by Dels. Skins are still in bmp format, making it usable in all SF2 merged game installs with access to the
A-1H.lod. The skins are new from my Home Grown Templates ™, in the 1950s Dark Gloss Navy Blue; all
markings are decals and are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for
the actual ones used by the squadrons; consider them 'generic' for that purpose.
The 'USMC50s' pilot figure, AN/APS-4 radar pod and engine sounds are included. The only weapon included is the 120 gallon drop tank. Bombs and rockets reference those WW2 units from the GunnyPak, and are NOT
included (simple edits can make the stock 3W ones usable, if one has Expansion Pak 1).

Wingfold is NOT activated, but the canopy is. Use the Usual Suspect (shift/0) to open and close it. All
    lighting is hisotrically correct.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

RDAF Camo SkinPak for F-84G Thunderjet

    =For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended/Preferred,etc)

A simple reskin/redecaling for the recently released F-84G Upgrade Pak.

This skin represent Euro-style camoflaged Thunderjets of the Royal Danish Air Force. They were painted such (as what little data seems available) during the later years of their service. The skin itself is a repainted/relined version of the 1stGen JRV (Yugoslavian AF) skin by Homer. I just retouched some bits to remove other bits! Full credit goes to him for the skin (wherever he may be).
