Indeed ArthuR! I've experimented this and in my install the radar background was grey! So I've chosen this central radar visualisation option from the Ordway topic...

From Flogger family, this would need a specific avionics in order to have the radar functions integrated to the HUD system. With SF2 (and SFP1 I suppose) impossible to create transparency for radar!

I started from the original MiG-21MF cockpit. I've integrated it into the TMF MiG-23 updated for SF2. I hope this simple view could explain my job... in French language we name this "un pis-aller"!
