  1. For some reason Russian government successfully got rid of alomst all veterans. I mean, provinding them (and officers in general) with new flats and better support is always on the agenda of our politicians. Seems to be such a good point for elections that none of them actualy do much about it, probably keeping the issue for posterity and letting the next batch of rulers yet again yell about "improving living conditions". They remember about those who won the war only for promotion when they need to make a poster with some old man with enough medals on the left side of his chest to turn it into full plate armour.
  2. Can spinning be similated by assigning random and then fixed aileron and elevator input on pilot kill? Like the guy falls onto the stick, or pulls it gripping for something... Hitboxes are great provided they are balanced right. How are you going to model internal "systems"?
  3. Can't think of any "realtime" solution. But if I remember correctly ini files allow global changes of detection range for AI. I suppose it wolud be possible to create a utility that would intensify bad weater chances to nearly 100% and reduce detection abilities of AI by juggling with ini-s. Like "press a button to have real bad weather/clear weather". Tracking clouds would require TK altering code, and actually I haven't seen many sims that continiously check line of sight (Silent Hunter 3 series even allows ships see through hills on dry land).
  4. What if you just landed to combat side effects of castor oil and wanted to turn your plane around, so that you don't take off into a wall of trees? On the topic of nice crashes - watch the final 30 or so seconds of this vid from Rigs of Rods Funny but their flexible mesh system gives the plane a very bendy and fragile look even in flight. Rather big and (I hope) interesting. Does anyone have a backup of pictures from Idflieg collection? Their hosting expired two weeks ago - would be a ptiy to lose all that stuff. That's precisely why I try to download and backup everything I can... Didn't do this time

  8. I have a working oil refinery in clear sight - it's almost within city limits of Moscow. So one or two sattelites won't hurt.. might actually make the air a bit cleaner (and clearer - on some days I can't see anything at 3km already).

You can install WFP and boost it with control panel from FCJ I just don't see much point in installing it combined with FCJ as the official website for WFP says Featuring the Promised Lands Full Canvas Jacket 2 Skins revamped using FCJ and FCJ2 exteriors and interiors All those mods are not very stable, so combining them in one install might really render RB3D absolutely unplayable.

  15. I thought %mass is important when section is detached... Like If someone makes SPAD S.A series where observer hangs in front of the prop and the pilot is behind it. All I did was a simple CG shift for my mod. Seemed a bit heavier to take off. But CG shift has another weird effect - cockpit position is relies on CG - not on model's centre. So if you do that you have to alter cockpit ini too... Update: Tested your FM. It's great. The thing is powerful, but rather unstable. I saw AI do "one shot - one kill" with it in debrief. Some screenies to drool over

  17. They were intended to serve tethered as balloons. The idea was that the helo is smaller, doesn't need expensive hydrogen, can be easily transported and quckly deployed and supposedly is less affected by wind. It also was designed to have a parachute capable of carrying the whole airframe should the engines fail. The grey balls at the bottom are actually airbags with some complicated valve system that turns them into decent shock absorbers. Didn't save the prototype which was severely damaged after falling from 2 meter height

  19. PKZ 2 Austro-hungarian helicopter Prototype was built in March 1918. Weighs 1600kg. Since April, 2 made 30 test ascents to the height of up to 50m. Could hover for half an hour on a good day. Had no controls and was balanced by three ropes from the ground. On June, 10 1918 the tension of ropes was not properly maintained and the chopper flipped over. Any modders willing to make new balloon type? Windsock has a mini-datafile on it. There were a number of other choppers made event prior to WW1 but none survived that long or flew that high. PKZ 2 height record wasn't beaten for 10 years after the crash.

  23. Try running setup twice I've read that RB3D can handle dual installs Aren't WFP and HA using models and terrains by the Promised Land? And FCJ control panel works perfectly with WFP too.

  25. Unzip, unrar, run Setup, after installation run via shortcut in start menu You'll probably need to run both setup.exe and the game in compartibility mode with Win95.
