I ran it for a year-and-a-half. Overheated a lot, stuttered, generally acted up frequently. Changed to the new card, using latest Nvidia drivers, and have a smooth running system with all SF2 5+2 games merged and running the exe files off the secondary drive.
  2. sprigs, Check for video card updates. Maybe run a cleaner/registry cleaner like CCleaner. Try a clean install of one game; don't add anything.
  3. like Wrench says, but more specifically, GDDR5 RAM on your video card.
  4. DA, I like the idea of this What IF scenario. But I'm a little concerned about not having a super-sonic fighter. What kind of jets will we be up against?
  5. DA, I don't have a template for FS. I run the photos I upload here through PS Auto Tone and Contrast not all my SF graphics files. But you give me an idea; problem is if it works, there are thousands of graphic files in all my SF installs.
  6. DA, I'll take a look at the T-45, good idea, but I chose these Hawks because of great-looking, existing skins I could re-decal. The reason the colors don't match is because I run them through Auto Tone and Auto Contrast in CS4. Gives them deeper, darker colors. Geary
  7. Is this how baby airplanes are made?
  8. Yeah, those have been used on me in bars. Wait .... maybe it was just repulsors. I don't recall anything lifting about those experiences. Of course, I was a bit besotted.
  9. Thanks Wrench, That fixed it. Solved a dilemma. I'm giving the Ajeet to the US Marines to fly escort for the Attack Gnat I gave them, Their solution to the take-off with no wheels was to just pick it up and throw it. That may have worked for the take-off, but their idea of using a catcher's mitt for landings concerned me and the maintenance guys. Working landing gear solves this dilemma.
  10. Does anyone have a fix for this Hover Craft syndrome? This aircraft is sitting on the runway waiting for takeoff. The wheels are there, they just won't deploy and when I do get them down they immediately retract. It seems like I've seen this before but can't find the forum entry using the search engine. Thanks for any help..
  11. USAF F-86N Sabre - Attack, Intercept, Fighter - The way it should have been. (Circa 1958 Vietnam.) USAF F-86D/L Ventral FFAR rocket pack combined with Italian license built F-86K's 4x20MM guns, 2xAIM-9B missiles and upgraded J-47-GE-33 engine.
  12. If you get around to the F-86H can you squeeze in the FJ-4 Fury, too???
  13. USAF F-86G Sabre, the Air Force version of the Navy's FJ-3M Fury. Wright J65 turbojet engine; 4x20MM Mk12 guns; 2xAIM9 missiles. Removed Tail Hook and Fuel Probe.
  14. Is there was a fix somewhere for the CAC Avon Sabre LOD shadow? The F-86 Sabre and FJ-3M Fury lod's don't have the correct gunport for the CAC Sabre's 2x30MM Aden guns. I can almost swear I've seen something on this recently, but I can't find it here, so possibly I saw it at another sim's site (or just dreamed it).
  15. Things NOT To DO: 1. Do NOT attract enemy SAMS.
  16. Note to Self: 1. Retract airbrakes (you #$&!!@ idiot). Things to Do: 1. Show wing man where the trigger is.
