    Isn't it also true though that a Hornet had to dump its tanks and bombs in the ocean right before landing while a Tomcat could have landed fully loaded? I've never seen a fully loaded Hornet let alone a some what loaded Hornet land on a carrier. So if this is true wouldn't the Navy be loosing money on lost ordinance?

    Well since were talking about the Eagle vs. the Tomcat I'll say this. The F-14 was capable of preforming Mach 2+ on the deck. It took an extremly modified Eagle, known as the Streak Eagle" to get to the 1,650 MPH requirement for it. Now back to F-14 vs. F/A-18. F-14 has the AIM-54 Phoenix. Super Hornet has....?

    Despite my hate of the Super Bug I will give the F/A-18F credit. It has been the one to do all the fancy moves and is flown by F-14 Tomcat crews and Squadrons (ie. VFA-103 Jolly Rogers or VFA-2 Bountyhunters) Also the F/A-18F does look better than the F/A-18E.

    Could you still consider in anyway the Canucks a member of the Commonwealth? I mean they no longer use Royal Canadian (Insert Branch Here). While you Aussies still have Royal Austrailian Air Force or Navyand so does New Zealand. Are you 2 the only ones left apart from the UK?

    Well what do you Aussies use? And the Canucks used CF-101 for the Voodoo and CF-104 for the Starfighter. And what do you mean by DHC? Is that like T.1A or F/A-18F?
