  2. Keep in mind that specular maps can also use color. I haven't messed with it, but you could technically add some bluish tint to your specular maps if you so desire that effect.
  3. You just have to play around with it. Most of the metal skinned planes in the stock game are just 10% or 15% black. After you add overlays, white noise, and other effects it starts to look like metal. You can also add a blueish tint to it, but keep in mind that if you set the reflection mapping in the .ini to 1.0 or .9 it will already have a bluish tint to it. You can always just copy existing skins and cut and paste a portion of the skin to something you like and then modify that to suit your needs.

  8. Yup, as I posted a few pages back in this thread, the air start stuff has been fixed. The weather should change more often in the campaigns. It will be explained in the patch readme. I just thought I would let folks know that the patch is being tested. Sorry I can't give any more info.

  12. Nothing is being hard coded and you will still be able to mod the game. F-14 is going to be cool.
  13. Make sure you add a FAN SONG radar next to your SA-2 sites. They won't fire without the radar close by.
  14. Weather altitude changes the height of the clouds in the mission. The thickness i just that - the thickness of the clouds. You should be able to control the contrails in the contrails drop down box.
  15. Make it close air support. Make the sams the primary objective. Only use a flight of two and order your wingman attack. If you want more flights to attack the SAMs then do the same thing with another AI flight. If you use a four ship the #3 and #4 probably won't go after the sams. Try it and see. You can move the objective triangle waypoint to anywhere on the map and edit the waypoints so you can do CAS anywhere. Make sure you tell the sams to appear early enough into the mission. I think they are set for a 2 1/2 minutes by default. (check the start time relative to the players arriving on target time). If you use SA2 or SA6 be sure to put the appropriate search radar (i forget the names) or they won't light you up and fire at you. SA8 can move and will be fine with no early warning radar.
  16. Texture is missing and will be fixed in the patch. It was accidentally left out.
  17. Mission Editor isn't for FE2 at this time. So far it's only going to be included in the SF2:E expansion. I'm not sure if we ever do another FE expansion, it will be included. F-14 isn't an addon, it will be a new title. Expansion should be done pretty soon...well within 'two weeks'.

  19. Rick, Check to see if your graphics settings are on unlimited. If they are try reducing some of them..namely effects and shadows. The new expansion pack will be optimized for multi-core processors finally and there are also some tweaks to the graphics settings.
  20. The force is strong with this one. Yeah, it won't be a pit, that's for sure.
  21. The WP+ adds way points. The < > arrows cycle units. Yes, you can add way points to ground and air units. You can change the speed between way points for ground and air as well. When? 'Two weeks'
  22. It was a quick test to demonstrate the way ground targets will work.
