Widowmaker, Your hand injury does sound painful - Ouch! - only been fishing once in my life - it was on the solent on this small fishing boat & we went for mackrel, the sea was so rough everybody was hanging on to the sides of the boat, puking their insides up - not a pretty sight. I think it was fair to say that the fish ate better then we did that day - I decided that the sea wasnt for me, & would stay a landlubber & skylubber (if thats such a word). Get well soon, & be wary of any infection - you may need a course of antibiotics.

I agree with Polovski & Interlocutor on this, theres many variables which would reduce the range of your vision flying a/c of this time period, vibration, cockpits open to the elements, size of A/c ,dirty goggles, smoke from ground battles etc these all have to be taken into account. I also fly without TAC, but sometimes have the labels turned on in case theres a good screenshot opportunity - but only for that reason, I invariably end up as a lawn dart, - I fly the BE2 a lot, which is just cannon fodder, I'm happy to end a mission having completed all the objectives & still be alive, never minding about kills... He who fights & runs away..... can get his ar*e kicked another day!!!

I Voted OK too, even though i lose a lot of pilots, its always down to my foolish behaviour in the air, such as flying too low & being hit by flak, or trying to take on 5 enemy a/c who are at least 1,000 feet above me who promptly dive down & frag my ar*e!!! I am one of those people who are more than satisified with the best wwI flight sim out there. to put it simply - IT ROCKS!!!!!!!

I went to old warden today to see the shuttleworth collection & have some pics which might be of some interest to you.. I voted for the Zeppelin, but totally agree with OVS on this one, its important to get the earlier a/c done first from a historical point of view, Also please consider, couldrons, Voisins, bleriots Fokker DII's Taube aviatik etc, :yes:

You got Oswald Boelcke Salute! I've been up against leffers & Parshau while flying my trusty??? Be2, (keeps getting downed by groundfire) Put a decent few rounds into Leffers from close range, but no effect on the way home - got hit by groundfire AGAIN!!! - I MUST stop going down for a closer look

Brilliant Screenshots MK2, What system spec do you have? I still havent tried the Spad yet, i'm still getting cut to ribbons by the groundfire in my Be2 Tonyo.
