  1. A rather good bit of press, don't you think?
  2. I find that after flying the EIII for an extended time the upgrade to the Halb is fantastic. A real relief and improvement. And if you can handle the EIII you are ready for the Halb.
  3. http://www.hetzer.talktalk.net/fr%20killboard.html Check it out and fly DiD. Get a Pilot on there. The nationalities are seperated. We need French and U.S. entries.
  4. Sometimes I zig when I should have zagged. It's an age old problem. But now I have a better plan.
  5. A decent book could be published based on these reports. Fun stuff.
  6. griphos, what you said rings true to my experiences as well. I have flown DiD with Tac up to this point as I did not have TIR but now that I do I look forward to DiD with Tac off. This will be after some more flights in QC first. Yes , it does seem that the occasional non-event flight is rather a relief than a disappointment. You want a kill or two but more than that you want to fly again, survive. I saw your man on the killboard and was impressed. Best wishes with the next one.
  7. I've been brought down often by flak too. This idea sounds real good to me. Just zig zagging I feel I have flown right into the flak sometimes.
  8. Hey, now that I have TIR I can better watch the planes crash that I down. That's fun but I must not forget to fly defensively.
  9. I find that the case of flying DiD all the time is that you are keenly aware of keeping your pilot (character) alive. Which means to be very careful to evaluate the overall situation and act accordingly. You will not win the war by yourself Olham, pick your battles as best you can and live to fight another day. The more you fly DiD and invest in your character the more you hate it when he dies or is captured. You become invested and that changes your approach and philosophy. I had not flown any QC for weeks until I got my FF stick to get used to and now TIR to adjust to and QC is a lot of fun but I look forward to a new DiD carreer with my new gear. The good carreer that you are looking forward to will not be an accident but a matter of making the right choices and a lot of luck. Best wishes.
  10. Yes Siggi, flying DiD doesn't call for too many buttons to be mapped anyway. Thanks for the tip Olham.
  11. My thanks to all of you. Homeboy, I just recently got setup with BOB2 and will gladly check that link you posted. I am wondering about the stick button assignments in regard to the Mine assignments conflicting with the TrackIR assignments. Do I need to undo the Mine on some buttons to reassign them for TIR? Haven't really gotten that far yet. So far I can say that it is super sweet to have such an increase of vision and the natural aspect of following E/A when at close proximity. My flying thus far is more deliberate than chancey as it was without TIR. Still learning and adapting.
  12. Yet another example of excellent customer service and product integrity. Thank you OBD! You're the best.
  13. Trackir came and it is running well. I was wondering if I might get some pointers from you Tir vets as to setting up profiles or downloading, the smoothing slider, and joystick button assignments. I know how to do these things but am curious about your settings. I am using Logitech Wingman Force 3D and that has really added to my experience as well. Another aspect of Trackir I have wondered about is, do you guys use it for mouselook in any FPS games? Thanks to Olham, UK_Widowmaker and a very special thanks to SIGGI
  14. Yes Cazna, that was the charm, run as administrator. Now to get used to it but it is so nice to see. Thank you for the help.
  15. Hi, I just got Trackir Pro3 and it is operational with the latest download from naturalpoint. It works with CFS3, I can look around just fine but when I try OFF it is not recognized by Trackir, Any ideas? Thanks guys. Something simple I'll wager.
  16. start a QC and then hit Escape it drops down the menu in the upper right and you will find the options there make your assignments and then save as Mine
  17. Tell her not to worry I live too far away. Und Ich bin ein hasslich esel. Another great site. You are making me dust off my German language studies from 38 years ago.
  18. That's right Lou and I've seen maybe 2% of the BH&H skins so far.
  19. You scored a solid book there mate. Have a good read.
  20. I love you Creaghorn! Wow, what a great site. I love Sanke cards and all this info is fabulous. I've just scratched the surface so far but I have bookmarked it already. Thanks!
  21. OVS, that image would make a great t-shirt logo. I am sorry I missed out on some of the best RB experience apparently.
  22. I second that Lou! Things are great for us right now and look very good for the future too. How nice.
  23. Very nice Homeboy. I just printed a hard copy on photo paper for my use. Nice contribution. Thank you!
  24. I used to think I had a nice library. So entirely an awesome collection, I mean wow!
  25. Hi there phoenixhawk13, Welcome to our friendly little airfield. I can see you will fit right into our squad and do your utmost in the great cause. This is a great bunch of blokes, mates, chaps and guys, myself excluded. You have much to gain by checking in often and pitching in when you can. It seems to me the fun never ends and I hope that you will find your OFF experience very rewarding. And to any lurkers, I was among you a few short months ago, come on in and join up. Tell us a little something about yourself so we can give you a welcome too.
