  1. Well, your campaign dossier may show the wrong number of hours, but it doesn't effect the campaign in other ways I don't think. I suppose it might slow your chances of getting a promotion or medals, but I'm not sure about that. You can go into your campaign dossier and manually edit your campaign hours to reflect the correct amount of time, however. Does that help?
  2. This is a known bug with CFS3, and is not particular to OFF.
  3. I'm no expert, but here are a couple of suggestions. First, try adjusting the speed setting to a value closer to 1. Perhaps your computer is having trouble keeping up with your speed of .5. Second, have you tried adjusting the curve on your yaw setting? The curve that I can see from your picture looks pretty aggressive. You migh flatten it out a bit, especially at the extremes. Of course, I bet you've already tried these ideas!
  4. Nice find, Olham! There are other pilot bios on the site, as well, along with pictures and descriptions. Here is a picture of an airship, L48, that burned over England in 1917.
  5. What an exciting discovery! I also wish my French was up to par.
  6. Just saw this thread today... As far as I know, my FM or DM mods should not interfere with mission frequencies or the spawning of enemy aircraft. However, if you use my weather mod, the number of daily missions that you fly is actually increased for early 1917. I suppose there is a chance that these extra flights might not have enemy aircraft because they might not have been included in the OFF order of battle, but you would have to ask Pol or one of the other devs about that, I'm afraid. Note: I can't recall whether I've noticed any increase in campaign missions in which I don't see any enemy aircraft after I installed my weather mod, but tha'ts because I haven't flown any campaigns for awhile now. I'll try and check over the weekend (specifically flying over May 12, 1917 in 46 RFC) to see if i can confirm J & D's observations. Interesting.
  7. I've found from lots of aircraft FM testing that the AI (despite what UncleAl used to say), cannot see through the clouds if the setting is 3 or higher, so you might try lowering your cloud slider to 3 instead of 5. I cannot notice any big difference in the volume or density of the clouds at the 3 setting.
  8. I think you are exactly right--we most crave what is the least healthy for us. I think it must be a byproduct of our evolutionary history--most people did not live long anyway and often went long stretches without eating much of anything. Easier to bulk up on high fat foods that provided quick energy rather than feel like you were starving eating simple nuts and berries!
  9. Congratulations, Lou! You are off to a great start. Myself, I have sworn off of cookies and am trying to cut down on ice cream. I have a sneaky feeling I will have to start exercising to actually get any weight to come off, though. Olham--also a nice start. I'm glad you are not cutting out breakfast; I think people have more trouble losing weight when they cut out breakfast than if they instead modify their breakfast diet. Not having bread for breakfast must represent quite a change for you. Keep up the good work!
  10. The forum seems a bit quiet as we anxiously await more news about OFF2, so I thought I might bore you with details of a few things I am currently working on FM-wise (when I have the time, that is)! Mostly I am just working on minor updates, fixes and changes to my previously released FM's as well as a few fixes to the .cfg file (the main FM file) for the stock OFF FM. Updates to my FM Pfalz DIIIa--substantially changed the FM to substantially eliminate the annoying "flip-stall" and lessen the tendency to sideslip so much. Improved roll a bit and adjusted speeds at various altitudes to better reflect historical performance. Pfalz is now much more pleasant to fly, but still a challenge. Re8 "Harry Tate"--main change was to increase empty weight to make it closer to historical record. As a result, it flies a little slower, and climbs and turns a little worse. You may not want to use this FM in an Re8 career, but it makes it a little easier to hunt and shoot down if you like to play the Hun. Updates to OFF FM: Albatros DII and DV--increased crash speeds for wingtips in .cfg file to make them roughly the same as other planes in the series. Fokker EIII--Several minor adjustments to FM that result in a somewhat slower plane at low altitudes--closer to historical record. Working on slighty increasing the roll rate. Corrected error in .cfg file in order to eliminate a second wing on the EIII, slighty below and to the rear of the main wing. This "phantom" wing did not appear to effect the FM, except to possibly create another "contact point" that may have resulted in a higher likilihood of crashed and destroyed aircraft. I am also working on a revision of the DM for the EIII to make it less invulnerable to bullet fire than it appears to be right now. Roland--Revised FM to improve stall and turn behavior. Also adjusted speeds at various altitudes to conform more closely to historical record. Camel--Working on removing what appears to be a phantom third wing that may have an affect on crash behavior. Not many other changes to the FM of the Camel at this time. This should cover most of what I have been working on at this time. If anyone knows of any other FM errors, problems, or niggles to any OFF plane that can be supported by historical evidence, please reply to this post and I will see what I can do. Cheers!
  11. Does that airplane have a banana in its pocket, or is it just happy to see me? That is one erect aircraft!
  12. KSDP for short, although it sounds like a trade union or a worker's party!
  13. "Knights of the Sky on Dawn Patrol"
  14. I'd also be interested in the report, for possible inclusion in a Dr1 FM mod.
  15. "Wah, wah, wah. It's too dark--there's another boat in the way--wah, wah, wah!" What a wanker!
  16. OMG! RexHannover has time to post! That must mean that most of the coding is finished! OFF 2 can't be far behind!!! Right? Right? (praying)
  17. Over Flanders Fields: "Open Cockpits" Over Flanders Fields: "Canvas Planes, Iron Men" Over Flanders Fields: "Icarus Arises!" or "Icarus Flies Again!" Over Flanders Fields: "Sky and Gravity"
  18. I feel all warm and fuzzy! Thanks for giving us wayward flight enthusiasts of any era a home!
  19. In addition to the AI aggression setting, what is your squadron's rating? Perhaps this not taking off is related to having a poor or average squadron rating, too.
  20. Thanks for the reminder, Lima. I got distracted by the fix for the Pfalz and a brief diversion into the FM for the Fokker Dr1. Will try to have something by the weekend.
  21. RugbyFan, Do you use my FM mod for the Pup in addition to the AI Weight mod or not? If not, try my FM mod and see if the problem remains.
  22. I suggest a drop-down menu containing a list of your squadron mates names that you can access while filling out the claims form. That would be boffo!
  23. You have the correct installation, Rugbyfan. All of my mods, with the exception of the front-gun and rear-gun mods, belong in the C:\OBDsoftware\cfsww1overflandersfields\mods folder. The gun mods belong in the C:\OBDsoftware\mods folder. This is okay because JSGME can have multiple installs, even in the same game. You do have to separetely activate each mod in the different mods folders, but once activated, you don't have to do anything to them unless you want to deactivate them.
