Pylons and gates for CFS3 races v 1.00 - 2003.09.05 Copyright © 2003 Giovanni "Nanni" A. Cignoni gcignoni@tiscali.it And thanks to stumpjumper for finding this for me. Download to seperate folder and extract. Dover Races 2.xml goes into your missions\training folder The folders in the building folder go into your obd buildings folder The files in the facilities folder go into your obd facilities folder. Only one plane in mission, so edit with mission builder to change or add planes. When mission starts, make sure tac is displayed, and set to ONE mile, (cnt+shift+T) or waypoints to next pylons will be hard to see. enjoy -

Wish i could commit to a saterday session, but cant at this point in time, But would like to see someone get something up before sundays session so everyone can check out to see if they can still join/host mp..... I have a session up for tonight (tues). Anyone wanting to check out there install should try and join in.
-
Britesh_eh was kind enought to give us 3 new missions, so to show our appreciation will be running them on a mp session tonight around 8edt will also give us the time to check out whoever joins and the 3.2 super patch. will be on teamspeak, and will post here when game is up. game is up 71.174.88.138 on teamspeak as well if you have installed the 1.32b hotfix, it will not cause mismatchs

lol..damn,,,,if push came to shove,,,was gonna drop pd a pm and ask for help,,,but guess that aint gonna happen,,, if i ever do get the damn thing figured out,,,,will put up a detailed post.... and,,if missions are to be available to Multiplayer sessions, they still have to be in the training or historical folder.

sounds like the dvd to me...(both computers,,,same amount of time),,,,, clean the disk,,and maybe see if you can copy the contents to one of your hard drives... Not sure,,but, i belive if you get the contents of the dvd into a folder on your hard drive,,you can run the install from the folder. Would assume if the dvd is bad,,you will run into a problem trying to copy it over to your hard drive.

outstanding cockpit!!

I had a problem too, after installing 1.32..on my computer at home Had just run the game here the nite before, so know it was working ok. after 1.32 got message about disk not in drive,,,and error copying a dll...to a target with the path of x:\obd software\cfsww1 over flanders fields\cfs3.exe,,or something close to that,,,didnt write it down. i got the cfs3.exe that is the one we are not allowed to talk about,,,so wondered why it was calling for a disk. and, as it was pointing to the file as the one having a problem with, i went to check to see if it was still in the directory, and it wasnt. As it turned out, it was in the recycle bin. I restored the file, and the game ran fine... Cant belive i would accidentally delete that file,,,and not sure if the install of 1.32 would have done something like that...but,,just in case it has any bearing on anyone elses problems,,,am posting the fact here.

hmmm,, nope,,,never saw a thing.....

well..glad you got that all squared away john,,,,good piece of info to put aside for the next person with that problem. can you elaborate on "all the in game graphics"? does that mean you reset cfs3config..or you talking about nvidia contol panel? just outta curiosity,,,do you have the mirror now?
-
Thats pretty interesting. You would think that if the game was displaying something, any card would be able to show it. Are there any other things ati cant show??? Seems to me,,i dont remember seeing the flames coming out of the exhaust when my engine starts,,and see it all the time now.... And,,whatever is being diplayed in the mirror, (and gets reflected in the gauges too), seems to be a transparant "overlay" of some sort. It deffinatly gets pulled from the scenery files of your last flight thru the off manager. I did a campaign mission with snow covered ground, and when i go back thru cfs3mp.exe...the mirror is still reflecting snow covered ground,,no matter what my season is set too.

Too much peanut butter on the throttle,,,it stuck closed....

turn your engine and cockpit sounds down,,and turn your effects sounds up, and you will hear more. but,,,not really sure you could hear that much wind over the sound of the engine..lol..ask wf2 next time she is around i still want the bullet waves built into the game........... bulletby01.wav

will try and quickly explain how superpatch and new options apply to mp pilots the same problem with fov settings that occured with the "L" patch still apply with superpatch. if a pilot changes fov settings in workshop, then they will modify the xdp files in their aircraft folder, and cause a mismatch when joining a game. It does not make a difference if everyone has the same fov setting. Its the time the files where created that causes the mismatch. The superpatch puts new folders in your obd software\wwi scenery folder. The default folder contains aircraft files that are stock to the superpatch. The offline folder contains aircraft files that you want to use for single player The online folder contains aircraft files that you want to use for mp. After installing superpatch, only folder that has any files is default. In workshop, lower left, there are new settings that contoll what files get into the online craft and offline craft folders, and how these files are loaded into the game. If you click "backup as online", you will copy whatever xdp (and possibly other) files in your current aircraft directory to the "online craft" folder. Highly recommend all mp pilots do this right away. Now, lets say you want to adjust your fov settings for single play. When done making your settings to fov, select "backup as offline", and it will copy the xdp files in your aircraft directory to the "offline craft" folder. Now you have to set it up so when you get into a mp game, the game will automatically load the files in your "online craft" into your aircraft directory. If you click the radial "Auto MP Contol On", when ever you get into a mp game (ie,,whenever cfs3mp.exe is started), it will load up your "online craft" files into the aircraft directory. Going to make an assumption on the "always/never autoback offline" I think what this does, if you exit cfs3.exe (single player executable), it will backup your current xdp files in your aircraft directory to the offline craft folder. So if you are constantly making changes to fov, you would want this setting on. Or, it could mean when you start a sp game, it takes the files from your online craft, and loads them to your aircraft directory. Kind of a "auto sp contol on" So,,if you DO NOT change the fov settings, and never plan to change or adjust them, all you have to do (for safty sake) is a "backup as online", select "auto mp contol off", and select "never backup as offline" as long as you dont fiddle with fov,,you will be ok. If you want different fov settings for you single play modes, you have to set it up to reload the online files. If you get really screwed up,,you can reload the files from your "off default" folder by hitting restore off default,,, If i am wrong about any of this,,,dont hesitate to correct me. hope this made sense,,,cause i didnt have a clue what it all did when we first got the beta.

well..yeah,,thats what card i have in there now...8800gts 356mb ram,,or something close to that..(thanks grumpybear!) but,,find it hard to belive the higher end vid cards wont show this....just doent make sense..

have never gotten anything in the mirror of a n17 other than changes in the shading,,,it would go from gray to white etc... now i am getting scenery, sky, clouds.... granted it not what is actually behind me,,,but it is still nice. wondering if anyone might have a clue as to why i am getting it now,,,and didnt get it before,,,and how other ppl might be able to "enable" the mirror fyi,,,i am using homeboy/rabus settings for cfs3config
-
well,,its got nothing to do with the weather,,or sun,,,,,flew a 17 in all sorts of different stuff,,,and the mirror always works... but,,it seems to be getting the reflection from a file,,,and not from whatever i am seeing,,,in this cloudy day you will notice the reflection is showing bright blue skies, with puffy cumy's bout the only setting i can think of that might be effecting this is my not having "disable Movie UI" checked... damn,,my new video card comes monday,,,ill be pissed if i loose my mirror.....

Phase2 DVD request thread

Ahhh,,thats what i was doing wrong...i was googleing Pomerania, Should be able to get that out monday. -
lol..to be honest...i have NO idea.... I do belive thats what i used to get all the time to,,,but,,,the only time i fly a 17 is when we do campaign,,and seems like most of the campaigns have been in cloudy weather,, so didn think much about the lack of reflection in the mirror. Now that pic was taken in a mission im working on,,,and its sunrise,,,so,,maybe that has something to do with it... And only other thing i can thing of, is that my good video card went south. I had to put an another one in, (no where good as my other one) and the only settings that would work on it are the ones that homeboy/rabu came up with. Maybe it one of those quirky settings they use.... If you want to try the 17's in the mission i used,,,and see if you get them we can run it quick after sundays session.
