Is anyone flying the AIRCO DH-2 ? Or have you ever tried a campaign in this aircraft? I tried it out, and will do another campaign with it in OFF II. I like this video - at 0:48 you can see the pilot moving through all control surfaces. Enjoy!

The markings on this map from September 1918 could have been made for bombers or aerial reconaissance. I thought of bombers first, because the main railway line in the red marked corridor is all marked with a pencil; so the main target could have been the railway, and the secondary target Cuerne aerodrome. If anyone knows more about this map, please tell us. .

Lou, I was a bit worried about such an early end for the young Ritter - I wanted to see, how he would get on further north. I never had this problem, but my TrackIR often only starts at second attempt. When I use "Crapp Cleaner" before to check and clean "Registry", then it starts fine. "Reset OFF Manager" should help (first thing to do) - the Manager can easily get confused by wrong entries or files. If that fails, you should also reset CFS3, as cptroyce said. It is hardly ever really necessary to make a re-install.

Lou, I love to see, how immersion means for you to get as close to history as you can. And this RFC watch is a lucky one - it will not be lying in some museums drawers, waiting to get exposed some day that may never come - it is still getting used! I love it! And these cockpit watches were expensive, valuable parts back in those days. Cecil Lewis or Arthur Gould Lee - one of them took the cockpit watch from the special wooden casing, before he left his wrecked aircraft, and he wanted to keep it as a memory. Only one or two days later he received a written order, to return the cockpit watch!

I don't think you could see any lights from the enemy's trenches. Even lighting a cigarette had striktly to be done low, so snipers couldn't aim at you. What you had were white flares, bathing the pockmarked trenchscapes in a false light for a minute. They fired those every now and then to make sure the enemy wasn't underway in the cover of darkness.

redpiano, to warp to the NEXT waypoint, you need to make sure it is assigned. Cause if you haven't passed the previous waypoint via "warp", the warping will bring you to that one. To select the waypoint you want to warp to, you need to have the TAC up. The command for shifting through the waypoints is "Shift + W", if I remember right. (See key commands chart by Homeboy in the Stickies above).

Pips, the propeller turning speed might be visually effected by the frame rate of the camera. Like the stage coach wheels in Westerns, which even seem to be turning backwards. As for the gunners, I thought they always had to stand up, when using the guns. Firstly they had no turning turret like WW2 bombers, and then you could only fire downwards below your tailplane, when you were standing, I guess.

Hellshade, I wouldn't want to be an opponent of you - you're shooting so well. I noticed, that you usually fire very short bursts - but against SPADs even you need to fire more rounds. Damn tough to kill, aren't they? I had to laugh, when you chased the SPAD and checked behind you, and almost flew into the French. Shiloh, in your vid I liked the view down on the Fokker formation very much! You could learn about shooting from Hellshade. Try more deflection shooting. A SPAD moves fast, so you need to fire your rounds a the spot, where the SPAD will be, when they arrive. I had to let some steam off today, after lots of carefully flown sorties with my two "very serious pilots" in Jasta 14 and Jasta 15 in the Marne region. So I took my Jasta 10 pilot for a flight in northern Flanders - where the real tough action is. I fly him still without all aids, but not too careful, to be honest.
