  1. Good looking: the Albatros D Va of Hans Böhning, by Deadhead - see: download section. Why didn't you post a screenshot here yet, Deadhead?
  2. BARNSTORM - if you meant the original OFF skins: we all work from there, changing them. It's permitted by the team!
  3. The skin is ready now; as a special addition, I have added a little dripping oil for Widowmaker and OvS. But only a little!
  4. View File Albatros D Va "Reichsadler" ("Eagle of the Empire") Skin created from original OFF skins made by OvS/James Romano and Paarma/Arto Karttunen. This skin's emblem is the Reichsadler, as it was designed at the time of the Kaiser empire. The heraldic emblem of the eagle seems to go back to the double-headed eagle, used for the arms of the "Holy Roman Empire of German Nations" (Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nationen). And for Widowmaker and OvS, I have added a little oil dripping. Submitter Olham Submitted 04/14/2009 Category Aircraft Skins

  6. Think, we must thank OvS for them - after my Camel carreer, I'll try an S.E.5a too. Yes, they sound great!
  7. Got the documentary by the National Air and Space Museum, about the restauration of the D Va "Stropp", Jasta 46. The Museum restorers gave it Lozenge fabric wings. Now I found opposing info at "The Aerodrome", saying, the camo should have been Mauve and Green. Here's the link: http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/aircraft...p-albatros.html Have you got any further info? I would like to do this skin for the contest. Thanks; Olham
  8. If you wonder, why not many respond - this is a well known site around here (Lol!!) But good you discovered it for yourself - yes, it's a wonderful site.
  9. That's why I have kept the blue message lines on, Siggi. May be a negative point for immersion, but tells you on the spot, WHEN a plane crashed, that was destroyed by you (sometimes a lot later). So, then I look up ingame time quickly, and that should raise chances. Congrats to the scramble! They are often killer missions.
  10. Hi, Rick With the Pup, you shouldn't dive, but climb! She is a beautiful light crate and climbs nicely; but she's fragile like a butterfly, maybe. To get out of the usual rut, I also have various pilots. There are: Guenther Mahlo: Jasta 2, Bertincourt, August 1916; Halberstadt DII - an ernest pilot, who wants to follow MvR Juergen Mahlo: Jasta 2, Bertincourt, September 1916; Albatros DI - a light tempered guy, craving for kills Detlev Mahlo: Jasta 11, Brayelles, April 1917; Albatros DIII - a gentleman officer and gambler, flying risky Wolfram Mahlo: Jasta 6, Lieu-St.Amand, January 1918 - humorous hazardeur, takes on every fight Wolf Mahlo: Jasta 15, Nesle/Le Mesnil, May 1918; Albatros D Va - good team leader, caring, flying with care and David Marlowe: RFC-65, La Lovie, October 1917; young firehead, needs to learn to integrate himself So, however I feel, I have the right pilot for it (not for long, mostly, though... Lol !!!)
  11. Barnstorm - how does that look, and what's the cost for it?
  12. Yes, Amercicans can have family roots all over Europe - so not bound to any side. But even though I don't trace any roots in other nations/countries, I have now started a campaign in RFC-65. As a child, I always modeled the British planes, like Spitfire, Westland(?) Whirlwind, Mosquito; and later, I had a 1:72 plastic craft, that I bought ready built and painted: a beautifully done S.E.5a. Wish I still had that.
  13. Luiz, when a claim report has absolutely NO chance to get confirmed, there appears a pop up plate, daying something like "do you want to proceed this claim? It will be rejected as erreneous." You can then click "no" or a cross-out mark, and change the claim report, until this doesn't appear again. So, if your report was not rejected, I think it still has a chance. But next time, better note your names. Also, ingame, I check the time each time some craft is named to be destroyed. You can do that by pressing "pause", and then "Z" - you get a red data text then, with altitude and time etc.
  14. Yes, the E III should get an opponent in a future version or added on package. The Morane Parasol or whatelse there was, that an E III could have a chance to beat. Then, more people would use it. I would!
  15. Yep, enemy AI was on ace; groundfire on "easy" or how it's called. But I don't think, you will do better in a D VII. She's the better overall fighter. But in this combat, my strength was to have an instable, extremely agile craft. The D VII is so much more towards the S.E.5a's qualities, that it might be less successful here. Try the Dr.1 - it's incredible, once you got it!
  16. Had a strange spin again, and this time, I had flown through a haze. Could it be, that the turbulence thing is also working in a haze? So, that we must even avoid to fly through those? PS: Oh, by the way - this time I could catch her up, when we fell out of the haze.
  17. Yep, as Hellshade said. You gotta hit them. My 2. wingman got chased by a Nieuport 17 ace. I sent over some deflection shots at 460 feet (I think, that's roundly 150 Meter?), and hit him. He immediately pulled away (another great step forward in BHaH!).
  18. When your vision is bad, and the enemy near: turn, turn turn! That way, you can scan all around you. She's great. She's a witch, or even a b....., yes; she has poor vision, yes; she's British, yes - but great!
  19. Thanks, Hellshade I tested her before, and found, that I can handle her best (for aiming and shooting) when she is trimmed nose a little below zero, so that she is "hanging in the stick"- so to say (god, what may the pilots say?) Hauksbee, I think this were 5 planes in 5.40 minutes. But absolutely mad. No one would do that with his real body in the crate. Voss may have had an adrenalin rush from the kill he just made. And you see, were it got him... Edit: No, included the finishing off of the damaged one, it were 6.40 min rather. And ground fire may have helped quite a bit. (We know, they can!)
  20. You remind me of Anthony Fokker - gone into mass production?...
  21. D VIII's?! You saw D VIII's soewere???!!! WomenFly2!!!!!! An idea: put a white or yellow grid over the surfaces of a skin of a more difficult plane. Then, use the skin ingame, and make screenies. Then you should see, were it distorts.
  22. It's mainly, what they can do to his sensitive nose!
  23. Hey, Widow - had they only had you in the RFC as the skins designer, back in WW1- it would be much more fun, flying the "crumpet crates"! Lol!!
  24. Thirsty ferret? You're kiddin' me! Isn't a ferret an animal like a weasel? Let's look that up! Thirsty ferret - huh! Weasels don't drink beer!... Edit: Hm - it's a kind of marten, but also a recon aircraft
  25. If you prepare it, as Dej describes - but later, they wont stop asking you a times: were's our Minka? In war times though, they called cats "roof rabbits" in Berlin...
