Ahem - I have a more professional "vision" of them. They are all grown ups. They have made an incredible cornerstone for WW1 Air Combat Sims with OFF. They are not under the pressure of company managers or money lenders. They are actually as free as can be to build a great follow-up product. And I bet, that is exactly what they are doing. In their own time.

That is what I meant to say too. No one wants an unfinished product. From OBD we wouldn't have to expect a halfbaked sim for sure. The idea was only to eventually split off parts, which can be added later. But however the decision and the way - I will wait and I'll be ready.

I agree with Hasse Wind here. Of course you want to get the FM and tactical AI behaviour done right, but for more additional aircraft, you could always add expansion packs. I guess no one would resent that - I certainly not - and IMHO a sim like WOFF is anyway quite inexpensive compared to the immense amount of work that has gone into it. So extra aircraft could be thought of and be bought later. Everyone here should know by now, that you are only few modellers, and that an aircraft model takes a long time to build nicely. So why not think about it? But when it is to make the combination of FMs work with a very smart tactical behaviour that has never been seen before - then I understand why you want to carry on, until it's working as it should. Von Baur, you MAY be feeling old, but in your mind you have preserved yourself a good bit of youthful impatience, like we had as children before Xmas. (But believe me: I only TRY to appear calm; I only PRETEND to be patient - sometimes it's killing me...) .

That's what I knew and tried to explain to the impatient pushing ones around here and the other place many times. I am full of trust, that you will come up with the ultimate tactical WW1 aviation experience. The good things need more time than the average. I hope you reward yourself every now and then. like going to your best Indian restaurant and have some "Chicken Tikka Massala".

OK, Hellshade - you won! Keep going, boys, and keep up the new strategy not to make our mouths eyes water again and again. The time of the long wait will be forgotten once the completed WOFF is released. Good luck with it!

Yep, I just "walked into the same trap" - damn, yeah, another year gone by.

One tip for using TrackIR: if you get white jaggies at the corners during rapid head movements, you should set up your graphic card control panel to "Wait for vertical refresh: Always on". TrackIR may take a while to really get used to, but it is such a BIG difference - it really puts you in the cockpit. I have found settings, which give me a safe picture almost with any movements I make. I can even lean over board and look down vertically. If you want to try my profile, give me a note - I can post it to you.

I read somewhere that overclocking the CPU changes some values for the memory too. Does your AMD arrange that too?

With his rig, he shouldn't need any overclocking IMHO.

Well, my graphic settings are in the "Sticky Threads" at the top under "Graphics Setup - An easy pictorial guide". With NVidia cards it may be a little different though. But for a start, you should right-click on your desktop to get to the NVidia Control panel. Go to "3D Settings" (or similarly called) and make sure, that your NVidia card will control Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering. (It should NOT say something like "Use application settings") Then select AA of 8, and AF of 4 - that should look fine (you can later raise these, but it's not really necessary). If you use TrackIR, you should select "Wait for vertical refresh: Always on" - this will avoid white jaggies at the corners during rapid head movements. Maybe you can find other settings too from my "Graphics Setup". When you are ready, you should have an option to save the settings under "Over Flanders Fields" or "OFF", so you can select them later again. For other games you may want different settings.

If you lean over board of a two-seater, the reflector clip can easily fall off and disappear below you! Then you'll have to fly the rest of the mission with the hat switch! Mmuahahahahaaaaa!!!!!

Wasp, you can have the hardware TrackIR 4 Pro, and still run the TrackIR 5 software with it. I am doing the same, and it works fine.

Another book I have yet to read. Shiloh, you read "Sagittarius rising", I saw. Did you read "No Parachute"? A very brilliant read I can promise.

If anyone wants to know how the wartime flying and fighting in the Pup really was, I recommend to read "No Parachute!" by Arthur Gould Lee. Possibly the best WW1 aviation read you can get.

I can believe the flying - but the fighting?... I guess they just didn't know any better.

Yeah, I see - thanks for the detail, Maeran. Here in Germany, I guess they would have also just received some Mark - amounts which wouldn't look much today. But back then it had a much better value.
