It can be done, but there's a clipping issue As it's not clear to me what the position of pilots/seats are (I've edited mines), can you show the Pilot and Copilot positions and seats positions from the data.ini file ? (can you copy/paste the pilot and copilot part ?)

To hide a node from the cockpit view (most of the time when "opencockpit=true" is used in the cockpit.ini files) In the data.ini of the aircraft [AircraftData] ... Component[xxx]=Hide [Hide] ParentComponentName=Nose ModelNodeName=Back_instrument_panel ShowFromCockpit=FALSE HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE "Hide" is just a name, sometimes I use Hide1, Hide2, ... for several nodes xxx is the next number in sequence "ParentComponentName" is the part of the model (should be in the component[xxx] list) that contains the node you want to hide. "ModelNodeName" is the actual name of the node you want to hide To make a node visible when the parentcomponent is not visible, it's the same with ShowFromCockpit=TRUE Somthing like that...

I can tell that the team is still working. And the model is still improving. As far as I'm concerned, I have to change the current rudder, and that will require some tests. Another part of what I'm doing is [ ] but the settings already found are working well. Real life is slowing the process but one of the version is quite close to be releasable, final checking and fixes still to do (but I already heard that...) And another thing to do is [ ... ] and it requires some time too (but i think it's a good idea lol ) Thanks for asking ;^)

As far as I can say, there's two possibilities - You must not flatten the file before saving it. It's the action of saving that will flatten it. When done and saving it, the file has 2 layers, the image itself and the "alpha channel". - Maybe the version of Gimp you use doesn't deal with multi layers file (or something like that...), and I can't tell precisely what to do to fix that. (<- probably wrong...) (I never managed to make a decal with Gimp because of this problem, though I know some people know how to do it the right way. I switched to Paint.Net for that reason. I don't say that it's the path to go, but that's the same issue that I never solved.) EDIT : see next post below, best answer for sure ;^)

I only did one thing (with Paint.Net) - open the file - create a layer - make the layer not visible - save as it is in a TGA format The software asked about the layer if I wanted to "merge" it or not -> yes So it was an alpha channel problem as you thought.

On a test day, to evaluate my skills as a (maybe) future A-4 flying instructor. Front seat at first Have to be really good ! Yeah, nicely done :^) Then... from the back seat :^/ Let's go ! First attempt, doesn't look that bad... ...was bad :^( Go around ! Second chance... (my instructor in the front seat doesn't seem too worried) Yeah, good one ! :^) Done ! Not sacked today xD (Funny thing, I lived that situation in real life, instructor training, but not in aviation ;^) And then I worked a while as an instructor trainer. Not an easy job... it requires a lot of patience xD)
