It is indeed. When I first started flying OFF and getting the feel of WWI planes, I was under-impressed. True, it didn't 'stall and fall' like so many of the others. What I really wanted to see was its legendary ability to 'hang on the prop' and it didn't seem to want to do that. So I ignored it while I flew the others. Then, when I got back into a D.VII, knowing more about what's possible, I was very impressed. There are so many times when you're closing with another plane, you've almost got him, he starts climbing, the stall warning starts flashing on the screen and I'm praying, 'Give me two more seconds. Just two. OK, one. Almost there....and I squeeze off a nice long burst." I think a plane that grants that kind of fervent wish can truly be said to 'hang on the prop'.
