In the shop, they might have different type of memories which they can try. Maybe they even have Gskill, which are usually faster than Kingston.

It could be a motherboard problem also, Olham. If they sold the hardware, they can test it, I think. Even if you've to pay a fee for test. Yes, it seems. But it's not working as it should. It's not even in dual channel. That machine that I was speaking, it didn't had problems in the first day. But soon it started, of course. Yes. Once. With a pair DDR 3 Gskill memory and a Asus P7P55 board. It was a compatibility problem between memory and motherboard. I've tried later the Gskill memory in another board and there was no problem. Then I tried Kingston memory in the Asus motherboard, and no more problems. Additionally the Asus motherboard with the Gskill memory was having cold boot problems, not always, but sometimes. One fact: You never, but never have problems with Kingston. They are slower, but they are quite reliable. I would exchange the memory, Olham. Maybe there are a few memory settings in the cmos/bios that you could try. You can try to force the Corsair specs. But in my case with the Gskill, it didn't solve. You can't have the PC working in that way.

DA:Origins would achieve probably that same level, if we add all the DLC to the main game.

You can use this installation guide (the easiest so far that I've seen) in GoG forum if you intend to install Trilogy. This guide use more mods besides trilogy, and I advise that you use at least Fixpac and widescreen mod. Didn't use the tweak one. http://www.gog.com/e...tial_mods/page1 Apply the nocd patch only after you've installed everything (including mods) and just for BG2. You can erase BG1 after installing trilogy. Besides you need also just to install an official patch. This patch is for English users. There's also a mod that might be important for people using higher resolutions.This will give you a bigger font. Unfortunately the mod is not fully optimized yet, but give it a try if you need bigger fonts. Any doubt PM me or just follow the thread in GoG's forum. After 10 years people are still modding, for BG. This tell you something about the quality of BG. I think in terms of story BG2 is much better than BG1. If you don't mind "reading" don't forget to read the books you find inside the houses. Like in DA:Origins they tell you a story.

No they didn't remove it. But you know there's a general no cd "patch" that works in all infinity engine games, like BG, Icewind Dale and Planescape. You've also to install the last patches with DVD version. So the GoG are easier, only it's more expansive. If you want help for the nocd patch, PM. If you don't mind with isometric views, and enjoy a real challenge game, don't hesitate and play BG. Also consider in playing BG1 with the BG2 engine. I've used also amod called Trilogy which unites both BGs. There's also the Big World mod, which from what I've read it's even superior to Trilogy. For me BG2 is superior to the first. But I enjoyed also the first also. There's a big replaybility value with this game. I can play it differently, just by choosing another character, or opting for different alignments. It's a classical.

Yes. I've bought already some games from them. Baldur's (4 in 1 boxset) and the Icewind Dales (3 + 1 boxset) I bought a physical hardcopy. It was cheaper than GoG. Yes, I know a lot of people who has the same opinion has you. Fallout 3, I played for 10 hours, and found it boring. I should give another try, but I'd like to try before New Vegas. For many the best cPRG ever and the best story. I'm just have to play it. No they don't. Look what is happening with Deus Ex. Human Revolution. I'm preparing for worst. The most wanted and probably the greatest disappoint. Yes it's the same, CD Projekt. I've some confidence. At least the story will be good. Let's see what they have done with combat and the RPG part. Graphically seems to be much better than DA2. I've pre order it, a physical copy. It's like the old days. It bring some goodies. And I'm not referring to the collector's edition. The price is the same or even slightly cheaper than digital. P.S. I'm in Chapter 4 of Shadows of Amn. I thought I was more near the end than I'm. Great.

Javito, all Shadows of Amn is epic. I really didn't played this back in 2000. At the time I was only interested in fps. I didn't play any RPG since "The Eye of Beholder" in 1990, with the exception of Diablo II (which is more an Hack 'n slash than a proper RPG). Thanks to Origins, I begun again to play cRPG's. I've so many of the old games to explore likeToEE, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale I & II, Divine Divinity, Arcania, Fallout 1& 2,etc, etc. etc.

I suppose that I've more than 100 hours of gameplay. I'm in the end of Shadow Amn. Huge game, great fun. Ten years after is still a lesson in how to make cRPG games. I've Dragon Age II, but I'm in no hurry. I wouldn't mind to play another 100 hours. Besides we all know that DA2 is streamlined. After playing BG probably I shouldn't be playing DA2. There will be the serious risk of get bored. Besides I don't like to be sexually harassed by people of the same gender.
