  1. I don't know any logger which record the pagefile usage details. I've used this one once, but it's not very detailed.
  2. Thats' new to me. Tell us doc, please.
  3. For tests, and who knows more. I've a Win7 x64 for games (no A/V), a XP for old games and Win7 x86 for Apps. But I do have another computer (which I end up using for all service) connected by a switch to the same mouse, keyboard and monitor, that one has 2 HD, but only one OS. I won't speak about my eternally switch off HP with Vista. I just hate Vista. I've to try some things with 2008 Server, probably I'll install a second HD on that f***er and install it there.
  4. It's not from the same modder, but a group of modders is making one WWI mod for ArmA2: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=117126
  5. That's what I call real optimization, almccoyjr. I've been using UD2 and now UD3 (Ultra Defrag ) for a couple of years, and it might not be the best but I really like it. I use a set of three HD. Three OS. All have the pagefiles allocated to different HD's, and one have in the first partition (the one with the outer track) filled with games. I place the most demanding games starting from the outer track. UD permits to select which you want and in what order.
  6. Correct.. I still do this. The ideal situation would be for a third HD. Because you could have one ofr OS, other for Game, and the third for the pagefile. However never could see much difference. It's more important to create a fixed pagefile thought, and specially in the case of Shiloh while the hardrive is new and unfragmented. http://mintywhite.com/vista/vmaintenance/performance-boost-move-page-file-to-another-physical-drive/ The amount that should be located for the pagefile is usually 1.5x your physical memory. I usually use the value on the recommended setting.
  7. Edit: Parky was quicker. Basically he said in three lines what I've done in 20. http://windows.micro...hard-disk-drive http://windows.micro...-disk-partition
  8. I'm happy for you Simon. Very happy.
  9. Indeed no. But maybe it was the way she had to publicly called her neighbor asshole.
  10. The first one made me thought, you've changed the engine. The landscape is just becoming better and better.
  11. Nobody is blaming the forum administration. Probably not even uncleal. I believe that you've done what you've to do. But thanks for the official explanation.
  12. Thanks Rickity, I'll look now if I see it anywhere in my circuit.
  13. I don't think you're being fair with uncle. While I might not agree with his political views, in terms of OFF forum he helped a lot of people. Maybe he was a bit rude sometimes but after the last year temporary ban, I didn't see him being rude in OFF's forum. He was one of the few who visited the Help section of this forum, and visited to help others. I'll miss him. And I'll miss him a lot.
  14. Ahh! 3DFX, lovely graphic accelerator. I still have one... somewhere. Their doom was the Banshee series and Nvidia with the Riva series. I still have my first ATI, it was a RAGE3D with 8MB. The next one was already a 9600XT. I'm now looking at her. I guess I've been much more a Nvidia fanboy than a ATI, in spite of my actual card is a 4890. The only thing I know about these two is that they keep doing s**t, once in a while.
  15. How will it be in Phase 4?
  16. Rugby, there's a hotfix I think. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=347384
  17. Unfortunately its common in Latin countries as well. More rich and powerful you're and more you evade. The small fish is just trying to survive and usually cannot escape. But I hear that it's not anymore exclusive to South Europe countries. It's more widely spread. And in the world. Of course that's only a part of the equation. The score we all know, it's a mess.
  18. Just love the song: Sorry for the off-topic but I couldn't resist.
  19. Today 3.75€ at Steam. It can't be any cheaper.
  20. Yes Pol, please. Next week would be fine for me.
  21. I'm not sure if it's a question of being Catholic or not, but what I do know is that I agree with Martin. Too much holidays and siesta time. Well we don't have the siesta time nor the tea time. After the government forbade us to smoke indoor establishments, there is the smoke time for the smokers. If not there's always the coffee break. One way or the other the breaks are institutionalized. For me the main culprit is the sun and the good weather. If you Finnish would end up living here, you'd become also lazier with the hot.
