  1. Got some new wings for my Scout Experimental helicoptor and went hunting.
  2. Thanks, I'll give it another go.
  3. How does one post pics that are on Photobucket. I've tried a couple of times but all that happens is the code is posted and no pic. I create the code in photobucket then copy it, and when creating the post I click on "Insert Image" and paste the code in the box. What am I doing wrong?
  4. Yes, I agree with all the above. For my part I considered that finding an historian attractive was just a sign of my age.
  5. Thanks for posting that, Mike. I'd missed that one:drinks:.
  6. Thanks for your input. I don't intend to do an uninstall but just thought it'd be good to have the info in case it's needed. I have read the FAQ - I always look for the answer before posting - and, yes, it mentions a normal uninstall procedure. But as Burning Beard mentions, it also involves removing some folders and, if a recent thread is anything to go by, editing the registry. It's just that when P4 is released next week then I want to be ready to uninstall P3 if necessary without losing too much flying time. I don't want to be stuck in the mess doing paperwork when there's a war to be fought:salute:
  7. It seems from a few recent posts that a "sticky" on the correct uninstall procedure for XP, Vista, and Win 7 for both OFF and CFS3 would be much appreciated by many. Particularly as P4 is imminent:grin: I personally haven't got a clue apart from bits I've picked up here and there and I'm obviously not alone in that. All volunteers take one step forward.
  8. As a newbie who wasn't around for P1 & 2, I'm hoping that P4 will install over P3 without having the apparent hassle involved in uninstalling it first? As for the rest I'm sold already.
  9. There's one good thing about getting old.....................erm....................erm................................oh bugger I've forgotten.
  10. You shouldn't need to but try running CFS3 in XP mode. Worth a try.
  11. I do beleive he's cooking a sausage.
  12. Totally agree. With some trepidation I built my first rig last year and as long as you have everything there before you start, it takes no time at all and nowhere near as difficult as you might think. Apart from the cost saving benefits you get the added satisfaction of knowint that "I built this"
  13. I'd certainly watch the videos but I'm not convinced that many members will add to the sticky - it seems a lot of effort compared to taking a screenshot. But then I'm a newbie so what do I know
  14. Thanks Olham. 2nd attempt. [/img]
  15. My first screenshot. Turning an Albatross DII in to a mono, bit by bit. [/img] What am I doing wrong:dntknw:
  16. Morris, you are an officer and a gent, sir :drinks:
  17. Yep, using win 7 64 bit no problems. OFF and CFS3 both running as administrator.
  18. Fantastic stuff. I'm still a relative newbie with OFF but this sounds good to me - especially being able to preserve key/joystick assignments. It sounds like you have put a lot of work into this and should be commended for your efforts. I think most people would be able to restore the files manually if a simple "read me" told where to put them. I'm not familiar enough with OFF yet to comment on files you may have missed. I'd personally find this very useful as I tend to do a complete reinstall of my OS every 18 months or so just to keep it lean and mean.
  19. All good advice you're getting here, Klewer. I'm relatively new here but this level of help/advice is what you come to expect from these guys. As far as difficulty settings go, although there is a steep learning curve there are enough "easy" settings to allow you to get used to it no problem. You'll love it - real immersive.
