  1. After Phantom Phriday and Cruddy Monday and Sukhoi Sunday it had to come.... The Very Simple Rules: - You can post on Monday your local time zone only. - Your pics can feature any Mikoyan aircraft, in the care of any real world or fantasy nation or aggressor group or mercenary. - If other aircraft happen to be in the frame, that's fine. As long as the Mikoyan is the primary subject. - As many posts as you want each Monday, and you can have multiple pictures in each post 😁 With that, here's some MiG-31BM action... Yes, I found I had to move the decals.ini to Aircraft\MiG-31BM\Soviet1. Just part of the debugging process folks...
  2. In the wake of the news that Strike Fighters 2 is being bundled up into one and some of the comments on the forum, maybe we should list what should be in a Strike Fighters 3. I don't speak for or from the developers so don't get excited. But this can only help, urge them to please make a SF3. Here goes my list. First, the must-haves: Backwards compatibility with SF2 aircraft & terrain The ability for aircraft to target more than one target in missions & campaigns due to modern precision weapons The bug removed of telling a bomber wingman to attack a target The ability to control a two-ship formation the same as a four-ship True stealth/RCS capability for fourth & fifth gen fighters A Su-35, SU-34, F-15EX and F-35 modern warfare pak Now for the fantasy stuff... and don't ask me to prioritize this just yet: Some serious modern fleets - I'd start with the USN, PLAN, Taiwanese, Russian, British, French, Italian, Australian, and yes Japanese. More detailed maps and mission planning The option to use photoscenery in making maps. A tutorial how to write a campaign The ability to see in 3D where you place objects on the maps - Jane's Fighters Anthology had that ability in the late 1990s. Situational awareness plummeting without an allied AWACS in the air A helicopter sim mode with Seahawk, Knighthawk and Blackhawk models - for starters. Real Environment Xtreme (REX) weather goodies - even if just better textures and a simple weather control interface. But the freeware third-party mod I got are almost REX-quality. Aerial refueling Artillery that can be controlled from the strike lead or division lead aircraft... Good start, eh?
  3. Thanks @daddyairplanes for the prompt.  Stand by for something out of the boneyard soon... and then don't I have another project that needs to be unfrozen and renumbered?

  4. Not in real life, but frankly a lot of air bases could use such a unit.

AGM-158C LRASM by @JosefK This is a data + skin mod of the AGM-158 for the C model, the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile or LRASM. All based on @FastCargo's AGM-158 JASSM for the anti-ship missile variant. It's worth noting has a service start year of 2018 and is assumed to stop serving in 2050. Also the LRASM has a range of over 600 km/300 nm. In Real-Life/RL, the LRASM has only been integrated with the B-1B and the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet but the intention is to make her work with the F-35 and vertically launch from ships. US Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) only customers so far, but Sweden, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Canada and Japan are likely customers also. To read more, go here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-158C_LRASM Feel free to report any bugs. This is my first serious weapons mod effort.
  6. Still waiting... maybe some of us should offer to buy SF2 from the developer and fix it.
  7. @Eagle114thfor my peace of mind, can you please show another terrain in the mission editor? Say the North Atlantic one. Thanks!
  8. I just wondered what nations you were doing and found out!
  9. For the first time @UllyB I'm stumped on roundels. What air forces are the first two w/ the Bangladeshi? Good to see Myanmar and Laos as WIP!
  10. I think an all-black jet might be worth considering...
  11. I might need to find the time to update this file with a darker skin and more after this reliable news report.

  13. What's in this new update for 2021?
  14. Looks very nice, but I'd like the option in Photoshop of changing the sectional map from Vietnam to say... the Kurils or the Middle East :-). Otherwise, perfection.
  15. A few thoughts: a) I prefer the USN/USMC approach b) I think you're onto something. c) Yes, I know an F-15I is a Strike Eagle for Israel, a Su-30MKI is a Su-30 for India but this is a helpful list. d) I DM'd you about how to run SF2 off of an external SSD.
  16. WIP o Trabajos en progreso

Thank you @torno, looking forward to some targets to hunt and targets to defend! / ¡Gracias @torno, esperando algunos objetivos para cazar y objetivos para defender!
  17. Version 2 please! Also finally someone is bringing the Fighters Anthology spirit to SF2! I always thought the draw of both games was/is the ability to work with a wide diversity of assets & theatres with some realism! Leave the cockpit button pushing to DC$ - which I love also!
  18. I wonder what that skin looks like...
  19. Afterburning and if possible non-afterburning. It's always easy though to throttle outta AB.
  20. Put me down for $34 USD for a Su-34. I can make that 34 Euros if need be. Thanks! That said, I await the Yak-130! Fun little jet!
