Car LOD must be in car folder.

Xray, yea stargetic cockpit won't work with this bird until Patch 2008. I am staying with old version also. 76, you need to edit your download text and make sure its readable instead of pasting it without checking the looks. Its all busted up hehe. That happens alot on forums where stuff is blindly pasted without checking the looks. Also, include source of info if you got it.

For the single seat... If you setup *new* wingtip stations, leave the old R-8 stations alone, and set quantity=0 for the old R-8s, you should not see any underwing pylons. Czech it out. MiG had decided to return to traditional underwing pylons when the project stopped. That's what would have happened in any scenario if this aircraft was to see combat. Anyways, you noticed what happens when you fire off only ONE of these missiles from a wingtip? hehe 2 seat trainer could be cool, but that assumes some production which assumes underwing missiles. For the original test flights, wingtip missiles are nice, and make the best screenshots.
-
Wow, nice. Smooth missiles eh? Some real fins. 76, it can't carry four. Need option of 2 wingtip or 2 underwing. wingtip missiles: historical test flights, slick, sci-fi look. underwing missiles: What would have happened if the thing was not cancelled. For CombatAce download screenshot, use wingtip missiles, *looks* cool although it wasn't.

Yes indeed it looks fantastic. I think Su-11 is a bit small, but on the other hand, J-8 wing seems much too large for the 152. 76, lindr has made the R-4 missiles for this. Also, I would include underwing missile loadout for a hypothectical production use -- use the standard R-8 pylons, and maybe I'm thinking radar only...no IR. MiG was heading back in this direction when the project cancelled. The wingtip launches didn't work well.

Very interesting, especially the visual stuff. You may want to try F-100 vs MiG-17 as well. F-15 vs MiG-17 is like P-40 vs Albatross. Good read: AG F-86 vs F-100, F-105, and USMC MiG-19 (only the *best* are allowed to fly MiGs ) ... WE INTERVIEW LES WALTMAN~> http://sabre-pilots.org/classics/v23les.htm

B-36, as that aircraft is the fundamental core of my interest in the sim, and what I hope to mold it into um someday.
-
PitchDamper=0.25 changed from zero, got rid of the massive...porpussing (sp? ) Flies great. Gotta match the performance envelope. I don't *think* there were any real vices in the real thing, but I need to look again.

Wow, making this managable in the air, I didn't know where to get started, so I went back to basics. I notice that some aircraft have ReferenceChord and some don't, and this didn't (Hunter FM base), so I slipped a chord in -- guess 3.6 from comparing other similar era planes. BANG! Now it flies "right," nice landing. Needs Xac work or something....remember the long period oscillation depending on speed is gone but I have lots of elevator overcontrol at increasing speeds. This is managable. This is interesting stuff once you get into it. I'm starting to learn this stuff all over again hehe.
-
Okay, the FM. ... um... I forgot how to do this, but here we go. This will take some work.
-
Ya that was not Tu-128....tis my mutant mig mold of Inksy J-8 as MiG Ye-152M and A (with the k9). Man that Tupe looks great (missiles too...some real fins!! ).
-
lindr has made the R-4 missiles, IR and SARH, shown here... ...and K-9 missile too.

Hey nice shoe launcher. What calibre shoes?

Forget this...see below...uh....careful. If you see white blocks instead of clouds, its because I never uploaded the smoke files. I thought they were stock game stuff, but they are not. The files are Smoke3.tga and Smoke4.tga. I need to include these files because one weapon pack doesn't use them. If you are using the same weapac I use, no problem but it needs updating for this. ITS ALL GOOD. The two smoke files are in Bunyap's JULY 2006 weapon pac, available at the CombatAce. You need them. I can re-upload my nucs with these two smoke files, but I don't know who made them (and I don't know how to make multiple alpha tga files ).

Calling 76.IAP-Blackbird: Ye-152 redux?
Lexx_Luthor replied to kct's topic in Mods/Skinning Discussion
More Mutant MiG-152M Now, all but the forward fuel spine "tanks" are not angled, so we can use the Pilot method shown below. Each pilot block has a spine/tank for both pilot and seat. So we add two objects under one call, except for the rear addition which should approximate a tapering of the spine near the rear. Calling 76.IAP-Blackbird: Ye-152 redux?
Lexx_Luthor replied to kct's topic in Mods/Skinning Discussion
First, the Mutant MiG-152M, its a bit easier than the A (edit, no its not!!). Add to early J-8 data...I rename all the LODs for personal use so I can use dedicated bmp files to skin them. You need a hex editor to change the bmp skin the lod calls for. For functional drop tank, I re-name the F4 370 gal tank and call it 1500 liters. I re-name two lod's to get the multiple angle nose cone. For the basic cone, I use the Tank600_F4. I forgot what LOD I use for the sharper tip. Find something that works. I coloured them a simple blank olive green. For the fat fuel spine, I use multitple instances of the large euro Tornado 1500gal drop tank. Colour to taste. The forward tanks/spines are angled to match up with the canopy's surface. For the big single R-15 nozzle, I use five instances of the MiG-17PF nose cone addon mod (no missile rails). I have four of them surrounding the central one. The four are painted white to match the aircraft, and are angled a few degrees which is why we can't use Pilot method. The central is painted black. If you wish, gimmie GIMMIE some time, and I can poast up my FrankenMiG.ini stuff. Will need several available LODs which need re-skinning (can't share my skin hacks of others' work without permission). -
Might as well do a screenie. Generally, I'm not satisfied with my persistant contrails, as they are only one emitter and not a multiple emitter effect, but it works out nice here high above the J-8/Mig mutation. This just turned out nice. Thanks to lindr for the classic R-80 missiles, from a time when cars and missiles sported real fins.
-
I think its mostly fuel hump, but I don't know 152S. If you need some ideas for this, we can do a 152 thread. Hopefully 76 will see it. I use the big euro Tornado drop tanks for my MiG humpin' ... and by coincidence, also for my frankenplane B-45 Tornado where I add euro Tornado drop tanks to IL-28 wingtips.

Strike Fighters Anime in the Works
Lexx_Luthor replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Just a note...Turkey and Greece had F-102s, and the delta interceptor now being modded by Veltro would be a different kind of addition. Also, F-5A is a sharp little bird, especially in silver finish. Don't forget Su-7. I'd say the "elite" Parani might fly MiG-19. Maybe add one of the Chinese developments from Insky modders...Q-something. They look pretty cool...maybe crossed dressed with AA missiles. -
So...does this mean just an ini text file in each weapon folder? If so, why any weapon editor is needed at all? We never needed an Aircraft and Ground Object Editor.

*bump* yea Voodoo, what a doll. goodsum AwSim stuff.
