More likely the eject view is exactly the same as the killed view. Maybe at least a sound could be played, maybe a voice "Eject, Eject, Eject!" or a sound for actually punching out to distinguish between the two? One of the few things that irk me about the series, tiny details that should be a no brainer but just can't be done

Perhaps an ejection seat model could be attached to the canopy, so that as the canopy goes falling off, the seat shoots up? It's also helpful in a way, more than a few times I thought I had ejected just in time to save myself, but wind up dead on the mission debrief.

So we can't afford to repair planes, we can't afford armor for humvees or kevlar vests for soldiers; Where the hell is the money going? Indeed, the tomcat will never be retired on my hard drive. or at least until an F-22N is in service :P

In looking for a side by side comparison I had seen earlier of the F-14D, FA-18E and SU-33, I came across a little bit about how in afghanistan, the super bombcat was outperforming the superbug. I said it before, since when has cost mattered for the military? How many billions are we up to in iraq and afghanistan, but we can't afford to fix the navy's best interceptor?

IIRC the mirage factory is working on one, but its a long way off. I was also planning one for my pet project, but I'm the only one working on it, so it will be a while. I do have some good drawings for making one though...maybe I should pause the FH-1 phantom and make that instead?

I noticed this a while back, it happened in when TK added vector support for zooming in/out, before TIR had no "deadzone" around the center view . I mentioned it on the thirdwire forums and TK said he'd look into it but AFAIK nothing came of it. Having the 6DOF vector addition helped significantly to make it feel more natural again for me though. And of course you get used to it after a while.

Maybe we'd be talking about the SH if they gave it the performance to be a worthy opponent to the aircraft we are talking about. The only reason it goes as fast as it does is because the lobbyists pushed her so hard :stink:

I'll take your words for it about skilled pilots. So just how did the mig-21's manage to get anywhere near an F-15?

The only real difference is they tend to screw around with the interface between versions and jack up the price. I have 7 and I've yet to encounter a game where that couldn't meet its needs. Even photoshop 5 is probably good enough.

I contest that, you can't run out of interesting military aircraft. I find alot of the often un modeled military aircraft quite interesting. And don't forget all the X-craft that could be armed. It's always interesting to see what could have been, but never was had some aircraft seen combat as they were intended. It would be a noble effort, but civilian only flight would be better left to MSFS, the SF/WOX engine loses all its advantages when the simple fun of combat is taken out. in FS you have gorgeous terrain and weather, etc to make just flying around enjoyable, whereas when I fly a mission in SF where I don't encounter any enemies, I feel cheated. Neutral civilian traffic in campaigns would be absolutely wonderful, much less safe to just fire off BVR missiles with a greater chance of hitting an enemy than not.
