  1. Tip - those 1000s of hours testing in sim are because you need to test actual climb rates etc etc in sim, not what Airwrench will report.
  2. You HOLD the R key Hellshade. 2m 12sec Single player pretty pants just join a multiplayer server and enjoy it at it's best that's what I do :)
  3. Just taking a few days off for Christmas at last, no more movies yet! All the best for Christmas and New Year guys
  4. It took several 1000 flight tests to get player flight feel for every craft, AI flight, AI takes offs, autopilot, with and without loads, etc all working well. Crazy amount of time that took - all I can say is good luck!
  5. I just use downloadhelper extension for Firefox - there are a few - used it for a few years no problems. http://www.downloadhelper.net/

    OT -- Cats

We had a nangy old cat - you could stroke his head 3 times (3 movements of the hand) and he would enjoy it and purr. Then after the 3rd he would stop purring and look at you directly. If you continued and did a 4th stroke he would scratch your hand and hiss. One weird cat. As far as I can tell most cats are generally selfish - take away the food or warm fire and they'd be off like a shot. Still each to their own :)
  7. You need to setup OFFManager.exe to run on 1 screen I imagine in ATI driver settings. Are there no options to do that? None of the dev team have this setup so no idea. And yes wow OLD thread ;) Make sure you are fully up-to-date with OFF patches as some may help with wide screen 16:10 etc in Workshop settings. Some forums you will have little answer for example asking in Knowledge base will probably get no response as it's for storing knowledge not asking. OFF General Help or here is the best place to find people reading and replying.
  8. Thanks Olham I'm not commenting on the thread except to just correct a feature mentioned; OFF currently can have 226 aircraft in the air at once all doing their own missions, which is easily scalable and expandable. Also guys want to say stay civil don't get into a this sim versus that sim argument please, all have their merits, and it's a very hard job to make a good one for sure with little reward.
  9. We have many 100s of squadrons, but not all are there, yet. Wow 266 was only formed 27 Sept 1918 so hardly worth being in there ;)
  10. Hi Airshark, The basic download has a date limit and also has 3 downloads limit, if either one expires it's expired. We have to do that as a basic function to help stop piracy of course. There's an option to keep the download available for 2 years when you purchase originally ("Download Insurance"). Basically as always you should make a hard backup (CD/DVD, USB stick etc), or buy the "Download Insurance". We don't make a lot on the sale and at 9.99 even less, and are a small team so hence the download insurance to avoid us managing this manually. The website says to make a good backup on USB etc. However for this once, and as it's Christmas , if you email support with your order details I'll ask if it's possible to get a new link sent. Cheers Polovski
  11. ... major spoilers coming out there. Can you guys mention it in the top of the post so those that are reading can skip or something?
  12. There's info in the FAQ on Windows 7 etc, installing should be OK but it wouldn't hard to right click on the install program and choose "run this program as an administrator" and also afterwards install the patches from our website http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings then set it up as http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Vista_Specific
  13. If you have the TIR4 or 5 and using the trackir clip move the unit on the monitor 3 inches left too. Moving it back some is always good too.
  14. Odd how it's only 2 way in CFS3 though anyway.. maybe try http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm Works quite well and has CFS3 / OFF support via "Over Flanders Fields.ini".
  15. Yes already in there.
  16. No worries SirMike, but I have to say this to be clear. ALL COCKPITS have been either TOTALLY REMADE, or vastly improved many from scratch. Many are shown in the video! Even 2 seaters have superb pits now did you see the RE8 for example? New craft totally mega detailed pit! Most of the craft have also had exterior improvements, or some models even remade, new textures too, new pilots, and much more.. Had to say it clearly, as it's a pretty big change that's taken me most of my life to do over the last year or two
  17. Gary we do not recommend it as registry settings may well conflict.
  18. Please ask questions about issues you may have in the OFF - General Discussion or OFF - BHaH General Help This forum is meant for STORING of key info and useful documents - NOT to ask questions - thanks. If you find you post missing it may have been moved to an appropriate section. http://combatace.com/forum/206-over-flanders-fields/ shows all the forums for OFF. OFF fliers will be likely receive a faster reply in the other sub forums mentioned.
  19. Hi deflection shot, sorry you got no response quickly, but this is the wrong thread for problems, it's a set fixed area for Knowledge base. I will have to move your thread to one of the others shortly. Many don't check this part often of course. The main more active general forum is the best place, or "General Help" section :) http://combatace.com/forum/206-over-flanders-fields/ shows all the sub forums best for questions is http://combatace.com/forum/204-off-general-discussion/ http://combatace.com/forum/209-off-bhah-general-help/ There are several help sections in the FAQ mentioning rudder pedals and how to reverse but feel free to post your solution if it will help others. http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#A8'>http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#A8 Main FAQ http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm Thanks.
  20. Yeah but probably best in another section doesn't fit with General Help
  21. Maybe I will move it to sticky soon - too many sticky posts though and some people seem to miss stickies. Si we sure try our best but only so many hours in the day to make all things happen - so every one of the things you personally like are likely not be in there, but many will be I am sure. Many will take more time, which is our enemy always. There is more in P4 we have not discussed at all yet. Some other things will have to be in the future, addons or whatever. I often quote the "hey were is my favourite aircraft [insert your favourite here] " will come up a lot we know very well what else we could add or is still missing, the problem is physically doing it! P4 will obviously like any sim or game released 2 years on from the previous likely benefit from some upgraded PC parts, or or better PC to run again at full whack max settings. However we cannot release specifications until we have made the beta and optimised and tested to work all that out. Certainly a decent PC that worked well for P3 should run P4 but we shall see.
  22. For a Christmas present for you patient Barmy OFF flyers and new potential OFF owners we have put together some clips from our Work-in-progress from PHASE 4 of OVER FLANDERS FIELDS. NOTES: This is a PREVIEW of PHASE 4 (Working title) of the next generation of Over Flanders Fields WW1 Flight Simulator - * * Damage Model and some Effects shown are still using older Phase 3 code for the moment until we update * * * * Please note this is still WORK -in- PROGRESS * * Also note many things are not shown but we will when we are ready :) ...and no don't ask when it's out - you know the answer already :)! Link is on our main page, NEWS section on the top right on the main content page (click the link on there instead will take you to a larger sized window, or of course you can click through on the youtube link and select High Quality etc as normal). http://www.overflandersfields.com Enjoy!
  23. The system is lowish and probably struggling there, but the main effect on fps will be terrain and scenery settings, plus CPU and video AA/Aniso filtering etc. Check your AA settings, set in cfs3config- try different settings. Try using cfsconfig AA settings and lowering AA or even increasing has been known to help!, and try off in the ATi panel (turn off for CFS3.exe?) or vice versa. Or try other Anisotropic settings lower, off. Try Vsync on/off Try Overclocking your CPU a little, and disable the Intel thermal and green throttling options of the CPU in the BIOS. See FAQ there are various other tips under troublshooting etc. Check regional air activity is set to low, and flight density low in workshops.
  24. Cool guys the comments always help spur us on :) The AI is new so this will affect various things including warp etc - the situation will change anyway Helllshade so we shall see. Yes Olham no problem - I just wanted to pump the thread up higher above so many OT posts, so people who have not checked in the forum for a while will still see it, not because we think you are not commenting :)
  25. Hi Jrh8 Follow the FAQ carefully, as OFF runs fine on Windows 7 32bit and 64bit, (Most of the dev team has Windows 7 32 or 64) as 33LIMA pointed out you need to read this part carefully... http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Vista_Specific It's not just the install you also need to set up the properties of OFFManager.exe and CFS3.exe after the install too as per the FAQ "It's recommended to avoid problems that you set OFFManager.exe and cfs3.exe to "Run this program as an administrator". Also you may need to set CFS3.exe to run in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode - see the examples below for how." Being logged in as an administrator is not the same, it's a specific setting see the link anyway. and see the FAQ for pictures of how to do it. You also need to make sure you install the update patches http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings "cant locate files or create path" this is usually because you have not set it up as above.
