if you right click on my computer icon>properties>Devise manager>sound,video,game controllers>open that box....see if it's listed there.if not do a COMPLETE uninstall and with win 98SE do a defrag and scan disc..now go to Siateks website and download the latest drivers for 98.install the drivers and then plug in your stick.follow the prompts.If this doesn't work,go to the control panel and open the add hardware wizard...see if it picks it up,if not check your USB hub...could be there.

A message from Oleg Maddox: additional 1.22 patch information Dear players, We’ve decided to explain certain important features and fixes to you in case you have some questions regarding the 1.22 patch. In order to address online cheating we’ve made the following changes: - Improved protection against speed cheating programs like Speedhack; - Preemptively increased checks on Unlimited Ammo use, as there was a theoretical possibility of such cheats. Because of this, the NTRK tracks no longer display recording player’s cannon and MG shots, even though the track does record these events, and their damage is correctly displayed. This was necessary because of the changes listed above. We will attempt to rectify the NTRK situation in the Ace Expansion Pack, which will also contain an even higher anti-cheating protection ensuring continuously stable online play in the future. Additional Information on checks against SpeedHack-like cheats: - Speedhack protection has been included since the first version of Il-2. Il-2 and FB net code continuously synchronizes the time between the client and the server. The protection is activated when the time difference between the server and client is more than 20% and it continues for more than 17 seconds. This will cause the client to get disconnected from the server. - After FB version 1.11 the conf.ini file contains two new parameters: checkServerTimeSpeed and checkClientTimeSpeed. They allow the server to turn off this protection for situations when smooth time progression cannot be maintained (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;en-us;274323). - FB version 1.22 will have two new additional keys in conf.ini: checkTimeSpeedDifferense and checkTimeSpeedInterval. These will allow the server to set the maximum difference in time as well as the maximum allowed time period. The minimum value for the checkTimeSpeedDifferense parameter is 0.01 (1%), and for the checkTimeSpeedDifferense the minimum value is 1 (1 second). Default values are 0.2 (20%) and 17 (17 seconds). The preset values are sent to the chat window on all connected clients as the following message: checkTimeSpeed N sec K%. Setting the new parameters to extremely low values may cause the cheat protection to kick in even when speedhacks are not used. This may especially happen when the connection quality is low and connectivity errors occur. This may also happen if the hardware malfunctions, such as overheating of the computer timer causing frequency changes. Oleg

OK told TK about the problem..and the info needed is where are you getting hit on the aircraft..and is it AAA or SAMs?A hit by a single shot in a vital place could leave an aircraft flying but unfixable.and a single SAM could destroy most aircraft.So please get all the info you can and let me know so I can pass it along..get some pics if possible,showing damage.Again Thanks...

Don't know about the rest of you guys but I grew up with him teaching me how to be a good person and to remember my prayers.Mr.Greenjeans,Bunny Rabbit,Mr.Moose...and all those ping pong balls. After hearing fo his death I felt a small part of my childhood slip away. I never realised he was a WW2 Marine who hated violence on TV and wanted to make a TV show for kids...I think he successed. Rest In Peace Capt. You'll be missed.

This aircraft is a beauty!!! I highly recommend this one..great detail from nose to tail and is VERY easy to fly.

Rocky at Ghostrecon.net posted that Christian has finished his new Campain.Now before yall go running to Fileplanet and downloading it..it comes in at 170 megs,mainly due to the music files,but theres a no music file it's a mere 25 megs,but the author says it music adds to the atmosphere so if you can stand a BIG download get the music file.

My wife decided to buy me GR gold edition..at wally world...at the checkout they scanned the game and carded her...said you have to be 18 or older to buy it.of course I had a good laugh but she wasn't real happy about having to dig out ID.

2003 brought us some truely great flight sims,and some great FPS sims..now it looks naval simmers will get their plates filled with atleast 3 new and very exciting looking titles already announced...PT Boats:Knights of the Sea,Dangerous waters,and now Silent hunter 3. please check your drivers and maybe close all back ground programs before starting game...I have a AMD XP3000+,512 2700DDR,and a FX 5700 ultra with the 53.3 drivers,running it maxed I get 20FPS and if i cut it back to med. settings I get between 30 and 40..your system should run it great,could be a program running in the back ground drawing from your system.Hope you get it going as I was a disbeliever,like you but now I really enjoy this sim.
