For all you WW2 sub commanders UBIsoft has announced Silent Hunter 3 is to be released late 2004.head over to Subsim and check out the news on the front page.

"While most of us would prefer the next Ghost Recon title released to be for the PC, unfortunately it's not. The next title - Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm, due out this time next month, is available only on the Playstation 2. Release date is 2/17/04." So all you lucky PS2 player get on down and give it a try..the rest of us have to wait and hope they release it for PC.

Theres a chance that Ghost Recon 2 could be released this year..I'll keep yall posted on the news releases on this. Heres the post by Rocky from over at Ghostrecon.net " Just when you thought we had speculated about Ghost Recon 2 as much as was possible, there is yet more fuel to keep those hopeful embers burning! This months PC Gamer states that they are expecting news from Ubi Soft regarding Ghost Recon 2 any time now, and they have it slated as one of their top up-coming games for 2004. everybody has had a dogfight or a mission they remember most all,because of the amount of time involved or the way it unfolded,or maybe it was just one you witnessed..lets hear about it.Remember to let us know the sim,and if it was MP or SP(thats right some of my best missions have been in SP),who all was involved.As a matter of fact maybe some of you grunts remember a misison from OFP,GR,or some other game that was just really cool and left you walking away pumped.

could be interesting..like getting to games for the price of one.(now if codemasters just don't slow down OFP2)

Chief,don't try to change anything at first..just see if you can access all your files and programs.if you can then the problem is a program based hic-up and you can fix this by running MS config and shutting it down at start up...this is easy way to find out. start>run>msconfig>start up tab>leave only the bare basics running uncheck the boxes next to the ones you don't want to use at start up..I just leave zone alarm and anti virus on(oh yeah...and Folding).once you leave this on then click apply and restart.easy as eating pancakes.

Chief if you're using XP then when you get the windows start up screen,watch it and it will tell you to hit F8 to get to safe mode...start it up in safe mode only..there's a couple different mode but just use the safe mode(without anything else running).this starts up system with the bare min. it needs..from there you can see if you can get into all your drives and programs files.

and I just got the first one installed... :D

Chief have you tried to start up in "safe mode"yet?if not try that...then you can find the little bugger...and even edit your reg. and delete the prolem..or change your start up.

Ok so I got it because it was said to offer so many new weapons and missions..and a new campain...but after playing with it...GET it run over to http://www.ghostrecon.net and follow the WOW link.this is a great one.now if OFP could get their maps this detailed and the graphics this good and maintain the gameplay it has I'd be teh first in line to buy it.

your right in thats the MX cards aren't liked by lomac..but SF does...sorry I can't help you on the ini files but might ask some of the great modders here at Biohaz.

I know this is a pain in the butt,but do a complete uninstall and then reinstall.I mean a complete uninstall...be sure everything is gone,then check your reg. to make sure it's gone from there also.do a defrag,and make sure all your sound card drivers are up to date...or if they worked before and you had older drivers might install the older set and see if it's a case of this sim doesn't like these drivers.reinstall..and do a FULL install.once installed check your settings.Did they work before you uninstalled it? if so whats changed since you first installed it.

ok...my 2 cents worth. I like the majority voted for our President,but This great land with it's promise of freedom gives me the right to complain.Do I believe the clerk went to far...oh yeah,did they follow their policy to the letter...again yes,BUT they in all their intellectual glory failed to use common sense.It is sad when a parent trying to get their child something for Christmas gets raked over the coals for it,for that matter She should be glad she wasn't trying to buy Operation Flashpoint,or Ghost Recon..OMG almost terrorist training tapes :D All this is..again IMO,is a case of over reaction and lack of common sense.from the store clerk to the troopers something was missing...yes everyone failed to impliment their origional issue M1 Brain matter. This is kinda like a student buying a chemisty book and getting detained because they could learn to make nerve agents. The finger of blame is being pointed at the wrong place..it's not the White House,The President..or even a brain dead store clerk, it belongs on the terror network that we're currently fighting in places all over the world.

exactly Chief...they are used to practice approach angle and touch down.If you've ever hear or read about Naval and Marine aviators they do ALOT of them before deployments.or if you make a mistake then a touch and go could save your aircraft and your passengers.

Darksoul are you running windows XP? if so is the firewall turned off?

was flying with dfang and once mission was complete we RTB'd..once on ground we parked.hangers are tight for 2 HOGs.

OK!! I'm so pumped as a Colts fan from the old Balt. days...yes i even went to Memorial a few times to see Johnny U do his magic,this Colts team looks really good.

just saw they started them in vietnam using F-100s but they lost so many that they switched to the F-105...the crews got to pair up and after they did they had a mock wedding,the vows were basically"100 missions or till death do us part" they even showed the move they used to defeat the sams...fly stright at them...let the missile track them and then dive...as they closed the THUD would pull up with full burners...sam couldn't match this move,so then turn and shoot radar.

I can't get F-18 to run on my system with XP and I have SP1 installed along with all the hot fixes and updates.Is there a fix out there anybody can tell me about?and yes I did try to install with the 98 campatibility mode.

while i was flying a Strike mission I got tangled with some Migs..splashed one with a winder and targeted his wing looked at crash site and noticed a BIG splash and then and oil slick appeared...hadn't noticed this before.

yes..even Janes F-15 had 2 seats and you could fly from front or back..but I still like that little"forked tailed devil"
