One of these days I'll try and teach myself some modding. From my perspective, I wonder how difficult it would be to expand an existing Europe map/terrain a little bit. It may be damn near impossible for all I know (since I know nothing haha). But one of these days I'll take a look when life slows down a bit. Of course, by then, SF2 will be a "vintage" game, I'm sure.

Sorry if this is addressed anywhere else, but are the balkans included on any existing SF2 terrain? I'd like to use a terrain with the mission building to fly sorties in the balkan airspace, but am having a hard time finding the terrain. I seem to recall that there was one floating around here somewhere.

I'm not sure the crew here constantly plays SF2 (weekly), but if you're anything like me, you go in phases. I'll play SF2 for a while, and then switch gears over to an rpg or rts or something, but something always keeps me coming back to SF2. Sometimes it's something small, like a news article or book I'm reading. Funny enough, I'm sitting in the office now craving some SF2. I work by the SLC Airport, and there are 4 F-16s doing touch and go's, and now it's inspired me to go home, dust off the joystick and fly some SF2! Funny how just seeing some fighters flying around is enough for me to switch gears back to SF2!

Where are folks finding this download? Somehow I am missing it in the DL section, and would love to take a crack at this. It looks/sounds awesome.

Agreed, but even the marine serving 1-4 years is ridiculous compared to the banker serving absolutely zero time. What a joke.

Hey, Steam sale is on, and I've got my eye on the Novalogic pack, that includes F-16 Multirole Fighter, Mig 29, and F-22 Lightening. I know these are older sims, but I was an avid Jetfighter 3 pilot, so I'm not afraid of some old school graphics. But I've never played any of the old Novalogic sims, and wondered if anyone here had any experience? What do they offer? Any good campaigns? Are they worth a few bucks? Any input/opinion is appreciated! Thanks, -Cam/Minuteman EDIT - The pack also includes Tachyon: The Fringe, for some reason. But I know all about that one already and am totally good re-playing it. It's been years :-) EDIT - Another thought. Maybe I'd just be better off finding a SF2 campaign in the F-16 or something. But I have a soft spot for old sims, and would love to hear from someone who's played these.

So very excited. I LOVE the FO series. Wonder what this one will bring to the table?

Thats good news, as the Rise of Flight stuff is one sale now on steam, and I already emptied my wallet picking up the last couple DLCs for that one :-) I've never been able to jump into DCS...but I've got my eye on the helo modules.

Wasn't sure if this was the right place for it, but thought it worth a mention. Gog.com is on a roll! They released 3 Star Trek games today! Star Trek 25th Anniversary Edition, Judgement Rites, and Starfleet Academy. Not much of a trekkie, but maybe I'll become one after playing the Star Trek classics.

No honestly, I'm a single player guy. I just wanted to know if the game had aged well really. I don't know much about it.

I'm craving some good WW2 action. I'm guessing I'll probably end up back with my IL-2 install, but thought I'd visit this. Does EAW bring anything different to the table?

Absolutely agreed. X-wing vs TIE Fighter (w/ the Balance of Power expansion) also has outstanding opportunities. Especially if you can grab some of Wrench's campaign/mission sets! I like the game because it lets you fly for the Imps OR Rebels. That said, the original X-Wing and TIE Fighter games give you the best experience (from mission briefings to cut scenes and mission design etc). Just my humble opinion.
