SF2 Upgraded F-16 Hangar, Loading and Loadout screens for F-16 Mod Packs By the Viper Team! By Me (No relations to the Viper Team!) This is my upgraded F-16 Hangar, Loading and Loadout screens for most excellent F-16 Mods from "The Viper Team"'s (and one from dtmdragon - ADF) F-16 Mod packs. What I did was downloaded the F-16 packs from here... http://combatace.com/files/category/666-f-16/ Then I combined them up. Upgraded all the Hangar, Loading, Loadout screen files. Then deleted everything but the Hangar, Loading, Loadout screen files to keep the folder structure. In theory, you should be able to copy my pack into your SF2 Mod folder, BUT I CAN'T RECOMMEND THAT since I don't know what F-16 you installed or how. * Why did I do this? I must be OCD, but I like all my Hangar and Loading screens to have the same format. I tried to match most of the plane to actual pix of planes for the Hangar and Loading screen. In many of the cases, I has to use generic planes because I could not find a decent picture of the plane. Ok, this install is abit more complicated than my other mod/update/upgrades, but it's worth it. Well it was worth it for me. * What is included in this pack: *HANGAR.JPG *LOADING.JPG *LOADOUT.TGA *NOTHING ELSE, NO LODS, SKINS, INIs....etc. * What is changed: Upgrades F-16 Hangar, Loading and Loadout screens in "...\Objects\Aircraft" only! Installation: * BEFORE YOU OVERWRITE ANYTHING - BACKUP!!!! 1) Sniper approach... Take a look in my "*\To_Mod_Folder\Objects\Aircraft" folder. If you see a plane you have and want to upgrade with my screens, copy the screen files, one at a time, to your plane in your SF2 "...\Objects\Aircraft" Mod folder. 2) Shotgun approach... Backup your SF2 ""...\Objects\Aircraft" mod folder, and then copy the contents of my "To_Mod_Folder" folder to your SF2 mod folder. If you don't have the plane I have, you will just get some extra folders in your SF2 mod folder and waste some space. If something goes nuts, then you have your backup? Right? That's pretty much it...If I can sell (free, not money or anything - LOL) "The Viper Team" on these screens, it would just come "The Viper Team'S" F-16 packs...LOL, not pushing anything...just wishing. Love your work!! ------------------------------------------ Credits to "the Viper Team" for their Excellent F-16 Mods. Also and again, I have no associations with the Viper Team. We jut share the name and the admiration for F-16s - that is all. Enjoy! =Me= -

SF2 F-111F Aardvarks from USAF/E 48th Liberty Wing. The 492nd, 493rd, 494th and 495th TFS
Viper63a replied to Viper63a's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
It looks like Old Diego is gone? But I did find some other mods base on his/hers. Yes, I've seen those pilots before. Those are fine when you don't have a co-pilot sitting next to you. In the 111s, the co-pilots looks like they were made out of paper cut-outs. I've seen other people limit the view so you can't turn the pilots head far enough to see the pilot....but I wanted another solution...a better pilot - up close. I got talking to Fanatic Modder about the terrible pilots I was using for 111s. FM sent of the pilot he was using, but he/she wasn't sure where it came from. So I researched it and found it was Florian - "AmokFloo"s LOD. There pilots are over kill for other planes, I see that...but I still think they have better detail than anything I've seen so far. = Viper = -

God NO!!!! LOL. You guys wrote the book and I am just dotting the "I" and crossing the "t"s. There is a big difference between what you guys did and I do. Without you guys, to begin with, without you, I would have nothing to nit pick about?...heh heh heh.... Thanks for your work, it is very appreciated and everything I do pays tribute, never detracts from your efforts! Thanks for heads up, I will look up Old Diego's pilot model... :) = Viper = -
File Name: SF2 TopGun F-14 Pilots: Maverick/Goose, Viper/Jester & Iceman/Slider! File Submitter: viper63a File Submitted: 02 July 2015 File Category: Pilot Mods SF2 TopGun F-14 Pilots: Maverick/Goose, Viper/Jester & Iceman/Slider! By Viper 07/03/2015 TopGun Pilots flies again in StrikeFighters 2!!!! Yep...nuff said. This mod will not update any existing SF2 files, but I recommend that you back up your mod folder (...\Objects\Pilots). There are 2 steps to this install...(Three counting backing up!) 1) Copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" to your target mod folder. My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97 64-bit was, but yours my be different... C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic\ * It will ask to overwrite, go ahead and overwrite. This mod should not change anything you already have installed - unless you, by some chance named something with the same names as I did. Hence the back up recommendation. NOTE: You should be able to install these pilots in SF2 game for most, if not all, jets. It doesn't have to be an F-14 or StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic. Have Mav and Goose fly and F-111?!! Enjoy! 2) Locate and update the "data.ini" file of the jet you want these pilots installed in. In my example, I will update the "F-14A_82_DATA.INI" file located in...(again, your location may be different)... C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic\Objects\Aircraft\F-14A_82 * In my example, I am updating the "F-14A_82_DATA.INI" file. In the target jet's folder, locate the "*DATA.INI" file. Edit the file in a text editor (Notepad) and "Find" the "Crew" section in the "*DATA.INI" file. In this section, there should be a [Pilot] and [CoPilot] (if the plane has a copilot. F-14's do) sub-section. * Look for the "PilotModelName=..." entry and update it with Maverick and Goose's info (it's the name of the folders and ini files you copied into ...\Objects\Pilots in Step 1). NOTE: All pilots and copilots in your flight for this plane will get this change...So if you have a wingman, Mav and Goose will show up there too...Sorry, this can't be helped... All available Pilots... TG_Maverick TG_Goose TG_Viper TG_Jester TG_Iceman TG_Slider Example...Installing Mavrick and Goose into the "F-14A_82_DATA.INI" file... // Crew --------------------------------------------------------- [Pilot] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT // Updated Maverick as the Pilot PilotModelName=TG_Maverick Position=0.0,4.99,1.46 SeatModelName=seat_F-15 SeatPosition=0.00,4.94,0.87 MinExtentPosition=-0.25, 4.52, 0.32 MaxExtentPosition= 0.25, 5.53, 1.54 CanopyNodeName=canopy_frame_outer CanopyAnimationID=10 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEEL Armor .Thickness=12 Armor .Thickness=12 Armor[REAR].Thickness=12 Armor[bOTTOM].Thickness=12 [CoPilot] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT // Updated Goose as the CoPilot PilotModelName=TG_Goose Position=0.00,3.59,1.52 SeatModelName=seat_F-15 SeatPosition=0.0,3.54,0.93 MinExtentPosition=-0.25, 2.98, 0.32 MaxExtentPosition= 0.25, 3.99, 1.54 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEEL Armor .Thickness=12 Armor .Thickness=12 Armor[REAR].Thickness=12 Armor[bOTTOM].Thickness=12 --------------------------------------------------------- * Save the data file and Maverick and Goose FLYS AGAIN!!! Do you feel the need for speed yet? That's it!! Credits and extras: I re-skinned AmokFloo's excellent LOD. File Name: My Collection of F-16 Fighting Falcon (for Dave?) Hangar and Loading Screens! File Submitter: viper63a File Submitted: 01 July 2015 File Category: Hangars My Collection of F-16 Fighting Falcon Hangar and Loading Screens! By Viper 07/01/2015 My collection of F-16 Hangar and Loading Screens. I used these to replace the Hangar and Loading screens in my F-16 mod downloads. Namely the excellent F-16 Mods from Dave and company! You may have to edit the Aircraft (eg. F-16A.ini) file to use these Hangar and loading screens. Or rename these files to the ones called out in the <Aircraft>.ini file. Also included are the photoshop templates I used to make all these screens (about 90 Hangar and Loading screens, total about 180 files). You can mix them, match them and use them however you like...but give me some credit if you use them in a mod you release to the public. Thanks and enjoy the screens! = Viper = Click here to download this file
