  1. for some reason, on thee YF-23 I keep starting outside the cockpit...how does one fix that?
  2. I dont know...6,000 years of recorded history maybe whats wrong with it...and no, they are not as capable as "us guys"...take the damn PT test for instance...I have a minimum of 50 push ups and they have 12, "modified". Yes, some women can do way better than that, but look at the bell curve there. Oh, and before you go quoting news articles, you know what we call female aviators? "show girls" Why? because whatever they do makes the news, period. There was much said about a female A-10 driver that brought her jet back after getting shot up...so how many articles did you read about A-10s getting shot up and coming home with dude drivers? Oh, and Moseley gave her a medal, of course. Not saying she didnt do a good job, but it was no different than what is EXPECTED. Oh, go ahead and rant, I will just here and laugh
  3. USAFMTL, man I could not agree more! That was the best iteration of the AI...what the heck happened?
  4. "An option that the Pakis won't hesitate to use once the Indian Army knocks at the gates of Lahore"...and now why would you be doing that?
  5. I can only imagine what they changed his callsign to
  6. not surprising, regards the corrosion issue...that it made it into the media is the real problem
  7. of course the Chinese call it junk...its personal with those two.
  8. man, that F-4 simulator was already sold...bet the shipping would have been more than the price
  9. maybe they will just dust off the MiG 1.42 and get it working, or the Berkut?
  10. I really liked that show as well
  11. the V-22 is cool...every airplane has its issues and given the fact that this is such new technology, it is doing remarkably well. Hey, just remember that when the first airplanes entered military service the reception that awaited them, and same goes for "jet" propulsion
  12. but how will they preserve my genius for future generations?
  13. I dont think they do...
  14. can we fight for hot Swedish b@bes?
  15. come to think of it, same here...I had a no-skill wingman and he was an ace in a single mission, but the high skill dudes do nothing...maybe the silly thing is reversed as in the values shown in the duty roster are opposite the actual skill of the pilot in question?
  16. dont forget the RC-135 family
  17. the B-1 has a manual wing sweep selection system; ie, NOT like the F-14 that had an automatic wing sweep, maybe that is what they are referring to, does the Blackjack have auto-sweep?
  18. good point earlier made in that they have nukes, but what KIND of nukes? It is not easy to cram the arming system into something the F-16 can haul around. But nukes anyway, what kind of option is that? none really, the US is the ONLY country to have employed nukes. I would personally be MUCH more concerned about their chem/bio abilities instead. But, if you are really worried, buy some of our PATRIOTS ! We will gladly sell them to you and they will stop an F-16, no doubt.
  19. Oh, man...a Mirage IV...SWEET
  20. true, but not going to happen...the war costs are spiraling stratospheric and I do not know why...WWII you loose an aircraft carrier to a kamikaze then yeah, the war budget goes up obviously...but explain Iraq to me
  21. Oh Canada...
  22. I actually saw it on a stop over flight (more like a weird kind of advertising, really)...it was not only ugly, but it just didnt instill confidence. A good airplane's aesthetics should convey an appropriate image to its driver...like the Tomcat, it looks like a plane that will do anything, and bring her crew back. Reference the Double Ugly, she looked evil sitting still and winked at you that she loved to kill. Or even take the venerable T-37, it says "let's go and leave the flying to me". This thing looked, well...needy
  23. no one is decrying the "fun" of the series...the point was well made that some basics that a reasonable person may think would be in a sim have still been left out. I agree fully with the above in that is WOI is in fact like WOV, then, why? The changes that you mentioned are not worth my $29.99 and while there have been numerous fixes, again refer to the above where so many fixes were made by the very talented mod community, so why not just communicate with the modder-in-question and incorporate their work. I would be willing to bet that most would do it pro bono even, if not, another certainly would.
  24. I liked the east coast in that you drive for a while and see a lot of really neat things (and pay quite a lot in tolls) but admittedly when I drove around in Arizona, well...it was...uh... Try living in Japan, parts are gorgeous with lush hillsides (they call them mountains, but once you have seen the Rockies...) and then the skylines of some of the busiest cities in the world. Osaka has a higher GDP than like Australia and Spain
