  1. Yes sir am on it I also into music besides flying virtual planes So, playing guitar takes up time and listening to pro music too, even so I wouldn't mind softly promoting SF2or 1
  2. my fault; i wasn't clear the print screen key works (new ish keyboard even) I will figure it out with help if needed... but i can also try a different key assignment it does works intermitently u may have noticed on u tube there are stormovick & DCS cinematic channels to watch plus learn from i would like to try a graphic comic strip deal on my FB and on my you tube ' jBeers ' if u tried jBeers on You Tube would you find it... Some people do go there (little) but i haven't done anything to help it I posted a few pics on my FB of SF2 the other day and even had a real 'FB Flying Club' member DM me about. With recent era mods it looks damn good. Top Tier or B-Tier stuff.
  3. First of all: I wanted to ask about this and have before... However, I may have stopped my SF2Game Engine from overwriting my current aircraft or dumping deleted stock planes (removed previously by me) back in! To try my method : delete unwanted stock planes from each Aircraft folder of each install. Oh, of the planes I wanted to stay for my use I changed each individual Airplane folder's Icon from a vanilla folder to anything else. I went ahead & used different new icons for different categories. Axis vs Allies ... Commies vs Good Guys etc i guess they call it analretentive. SO IF it does it again and dumps another two hundred (it seems) flyable airplanes from all of history into for example you narrow India/Paki Game, no prob you can spot a del them very quickly like so. However, setting the entire mod root folder to read only seems to deter this quite annoying bug (i said it) from re-occuring. It is a little annoying to UN-read/only individual *.ini files then read/only again for safety just to tweek the title u see in the game. {FYI: I have worked in information technology for a long time. Keystroking & clicking for hours upon godless hours is not good for your health. I got the pulmanary embolisms and splenicinfarcs to prove it...with the associated bills not to mention scaring the sh_t out my loved ones. Tip:join a gym or something! So yeah I like planes organized and they ought to fix the bug...right ha!} (1) I am frustrated by the lack of response from my in game print screen function quitting or being intermitent at best It could be a sharing issue...but it just occured to me their may be a setting in windows to either print to file or to memory...there is a name like cache aaaggghh love aging Will check on the windows print-to toggle feature that may or may not be real, myself I mentioned read/only and sharing ... I have looked at that, but not what i would call a real pro-level analysis as yet. I did tho try changing the 'path' and making a common "\ScreenShot" folder...more than once...checking read/write & sharing as it were. Really, u ought to be able to create a 'ScreenShot' folder anywhere and the path designator line in options.ini will be correct sense you can copy directly the addie line from the addie bar on win explorer...right So many probs turn out to be a comma sized typo i can't hardly see no matter... I remember finally, the y call it the CLIPBOARD I think I had another question, but I have to take my girl to da stoe
  4. Seafire Mk. XVII ("stand-in")

SeaFire Mk 17 love the Spits since childhood Thank you for the nice skins/& other moding to come up with these two stand ins frankly i didnt know if anybody remembered these ole sea birds so was shocked when when popped out some griffin engined spitfires and i'd have to check the name but one gentlemen has uploaded redone merlin spits AND THEN uploads a MkXII early late & and middle too i guess I shot down a jabo FW-190F (i think it was the F model .) the first attempt @ combat period with it. Griffins rule Thank you again
  5. SENTRY : Aircraft of the NATO E-3A Component

oops...there is duplicate notificatios & i was trying to answer tthe first notification
  6. SENTRY : Aircraft of the NATO E-3A Component

did u try trimming wheel right or: autotrim=true i think i tried the command line in the options file in your mod root
  7. TA-50 (SU-57)

I cant get the radar missile bays automatically or manually Have checked the A/C Data file and tried some changes to it. Such as, the animation ID num. Not a budge.
  8. With a command Prompt "CD" (Change Directory) to you Mod's "Aircraft" folder. You can copy the address out of your 'Explorer' Address Bar easily once in the said folder. The command to enter is: DIR /B > AIRCRAFTLIST.LST <ENTER> The aircraft list will magically appear in th AIRCRAFT folder. Clean out any non aircraft listings with notepad.exe Good Night all!
  9. am back finaly... Does anyone know what all the AIRCRAFTLIST.LST file is for. I kinda forgot about that, but i came across it recently. Explorer++ located it in my WWII install which i found to be meticulously populated with each WWII plane. I wonder if it 'helps' the sim with NOT populating the aircraft folder with stock planes AGAIN? Might it have other effects? From reading the above I would be surprised it would help enemy air defenses. I'm gonna fill one out for a new install I started and see what happens. Man, those dudes at DCS set up missions how they want. Those b!chez wack bad guy planes from a hundred miles with S-300s all day. (HaHa) Come on TW make us a SF3. Sorta a pour man's DCS.
  10. I noticed the same problem accept I don't have to be flying a SEAD. I was flying with an AI F-4G it fired an ARM at a SAM site likely saving my a$$. This was in Desert Terrain. I have multiple MOD installs that are modded in most cases heavily. Not sure what would mess with SAMs though. Oh, can you just add a for example a SA-3 when using the mission editor and it will shoot or do you have to build a complete SAM site? I will try the forum more tomorrow cuz i miss my SAMs.
  11. i had tried leaving a A-H and the Yak-28 i.e. the first and last. That seemed to work on post WWII installs (most of the time.) Am trying 1 stock allied fighter and 1 Soviet. Hope it works. It makes sense.
  12. I did try to use the Search function and a manual 'browse' technique, but no luck. I kinda rotate around different A/C eras. Am on the WWII kick again. For some reason my WWII is doing this rather annoyingly. If I delete out the stock planes which are mostly jets. Every time I then start a Single Mission Aircraft folder has the stock planes back. You know what as I was typing the above, it dawned on me to check the OPTION.INI file for dates beyond WWII and I did. Will return later with a result. Oh, I have all the games and stock expansion packs. Don't have all the DLC. Anyway, yu can imagine how many planes I have to scroll thru.
  13. I saw the dive bombing markings before (and still not sure how they were used). Not sure I've seen the photo recce markings before. I have the VLR book so can give it a look.
  14. I probably came across this back in the day, but had forgotten. For much of my life I was into fighter aircraft or my favorite was fighters. I was interested other types as well. In about 1990 I bought my first computer and the race was on. I bought a flight sim ASAP and soon started to shoot virtual planes down. (After much trying.) Anyway, more recently I've developed an interest the F-6 and photo recon in general. You probably read an account of a pair of F-6 Mustangs shooting down several planes then proceeding to take pictures of the smoking wrecks. Confirmed! (street-cred maximized) Also, it is well documented that the reconnaissance photos are invaluable to military planning. Very important missions. Hey, I have not tried the recon mission in SF2. Time to try that. Oh, what was all this about? I have a pic of the 110th TRS, 71st TRG Mustang with no cameras on the left side. I may have even read that all the fighters in a TRS did not have cameras. I guess the provided top cover. Sounds like SF2 mission editor time again.
