    Here on combat ace in sf1 downloads 'SHIPS' is the coralsea. if you havedn't downloaded it do so. create a folder in your ground objects (where you place the cv-43 or cv43) called cv-41 or cv41 and copy the files from cv-43 into it. open up the coralsea.bmp file with MS Paint and use the 'transparent selection' option then paste the contents of OVERLAY.bmp right over the bitmap. if you've selected 'tramsparent selection' option it will simply change the numbers ont the ship pictured there. All you need to do then in change CV-43.ini, CV43.ini, or coralsea.ini to match the name of the folder you've called the newly created CV-41 folder with youur new ship in. Open up the 'in i' file and name it like so: [GroundObjectData] ObjectName=CV-41 ObjectFullName=USS Midway CV-41 ObjectDataFile=CV-43_data.ini Now you have the Midway to fly VF-151 & VF-161 off of.     Hello Like the cockpit. Do you mind if I include it with a F-4S mod I made for posting here at combat ace. I took the old F-4S (Larte) from Column 5 and modded some skins (for VF-151 & VF-161) and added your cockpit to create a fictitious F-4S+ as an upgraded F-4S that the 'Navy' continued to use after the 1986 retirement of the F-4S Phantom II from the Navy inventory. Since after all on my computer the korean war, the vietnam war, and the " 'cold' war " never ended and the Navy needs all the planes it can put up. Viva la resistiance!!!
  4. comment about roundel stated meant only as constructive, its a one letter typo afte all any just loaded it and tested in SF num1 patched to latest version and weps from combat ace and works great i did load it into a diff version (not sure what patch level, would hafta chk) and when i tried it with the fake pylons added in 2 legs were seen sticking out. But, i copied the plane into the latest version and didn't as yet add the fake pylons in everything seems ok to me. I don't really ever use d-tanks in wwii anyway. Just fly simulated short simlated missions so to speek. All i had 2 do was save a few ini files as ansi files from unicoders and works like a charm
  5. Uh...the roundels on the depicted spit are PTO RAF insignia. RAAF roundels are larfer blue circles with large white circles inside leaving a narrow blue band the white circle. Just so you know. have down loaded and will try to get it to work in SF1

    Am not sure who created this mod of the desert terrain using Euro Airwar textures other than 'Dueces' but here it is. I call it in a couple missions uploaded in my F-4S_F-4N pack to be uploaded today barring tech difficulties. I modded the 'nations' file, BTW.

The completed version will have more skins and I'll include weps and sound files, pilots etc. If no pilot shows up when u try this one you'll have to edit the 'data' file and change the pilot with one you have. I just realized I neglected to change the sound settings in the data file...so i enclosed my j79.wav files. Be careful not to overwrite what you don't want to loose, so I'd unzip it to somwplace like C:\Temp...the copying to the right folders.   11. View File Kosovo_beta I saw in the forum someone asked about a Kosovo terrain and someone else thought there was one around (albiet this was posted some time back.) Anyway, here is that Kosovo terrain. Unfortunately, somehow ( i ) apparently overwrote the planning maps with the 'desert' planning maps at some point so i put in blank bitmaps to substitute. If you take one of your msn files and substitute 'kosovo' for lets say 'desert' it should work. If you use the kmd mission editor you can see where the targets are located and move your planes where you want of course. Perhaps, I will get some sort of map plotted at some point, but the only way i know how to do that is to trial and error with the kmd mission editor and starting the game up to see where i end up. Someone with more experience with some other util could prob whip something up. If, you like the F-4S in the image I will try to get the skins finished and up load it soon. I uploaded a couple mission files, but you'll still have to edit them unless you have the same planes and ground objects. My CV-41 USS Midway is in da ocean in at least one of these missions. (They're just samples...some planes some 'groundObjects' no planning just samples) I do not know who created this Kosovo terrain to give credit to or if they mind me loading it here. Have no clue where and when i got it. Must have been years ago. Its pretty simple terrain. Very frame rate friendly, tons of mountains and hills, plus the ocean (the adriatic i suppose its called.) Not up; to modern standards. You might like the 'Black Sea' terrain better if you want detail and fly in that neighborhood. Submitter jonBeers Submitted 08/19/2018 Category Terrains

  14. just a couple ?z (SF1 08 patch level) 1> In some terrains I can't take off from my aircraft carrier though it works in other terrains. Is there an easy terrain fix 4 that? (The plane(s) always crash immediately at start of mission. Also, on some large aircraft (in this case the B-1B mod) the plane is difficult 2 control and wants to roll in one direction all the time. The stability prob in large aircraft makes for Ais having trouble staying in formation. Not 2 mention annoying me. The B-1 in question seems to have way 2 much inertia in pitch or inadequate stability as in too small of control surfaces or something. To correct the roll prob in other planes I have incremented I think the cpd (something like that) value in the data.ini file. I believe I have a doc for this site with some explanation on the data file. 2> Does anyone have a complete list of what each value in the aircraft data file does? Especially, has anyone had trouble flying large planes ias described and have found a fix??? (I have looked 4 answers, just would like to get a quick answer if possible, instead of meticulously solving the prob myself.) ALSO...I have almost completed my 'F-4S' for uploading. Has corrected skins and a few more things. Prob be a few more days as getting everything right is painfully slow and tedious. ( I think I damaged my ass from sitting in front of a computer so long. Did I mention I used to be a database admin? With remote control software I found I didn't actually move much at all from my office ie to the server room or to help and end user [ it was a small biz...I had to do all kinds of stuff. ] )
  15. i fixed it so it will work on sf1...will finish shrinking the skins and try to get the Aim-4 missles to show up on the weapons loadout screen as an option and see if the will shoot I didtry to shoot down enemy planes with the rockets and did not succeed...got close but the went just over the wing f an enemy AI but no cigar thanks so much for the plane...when I am finished tweaking will upload for anyone wanting to use it in sf1 do love the older jets/props 2 I think I'd like the later model fighters more in a game that supported more avionics...our forces operate with awacs a, elint, info shared over a data link also, of course real fighters fly with real fighter wingmen... the more advanced missles work so much better that you really need more intellince assets and competent AI wingmen to survive against enemies with forward quadrent missles
