  1. Curious, what type of FPS are you getting? I always feel like mine is hanging up at full graphics.
  2. Now imagine doing that solely from the cockpit.
  3. Bacardi, about the Suncom stick and throttle. Always wanted one, and would have bought one instead of the X-45 if I could have. Curious though, how many games allow you to use the split throttle?
  4. So, you need to frequently clean the Cougar? Like, exactly what needs cleaning? Also, compared to my X-45, I'd like to know about the Cougar's durability. I mean, if something that high quality suffers from bad pots and spikage, seems like my X-45 definately would, probably is, and I just don't realize it.
  5. Flanker is an excellent sim. The padlocking takes a bit to get used to though, and dogfighting is completely different than in any other sim I've played.
  6. 12 now.. I mean 11, lol.
  7. 13 more posts and my count here will equal my count at X-Plane.org. I'm considered an Old Timer, there, lol.
  8. Any way you could install USB ports on the front of your PC? Make it a bit easier to switch.

    Flanker

Did you get the boxed version? If so, it comes with a good printed manual. Getting used to the russian avionics is a little different, especially in air to ground. The restraints on releasing your bombs are very strict.
  10. I think SimHQ has them too.
  11. So FB won't let you reassign any of the axis's from the gamepad to the stick? Hmm, you might try playing in Il-2 Config, or the actual configuration file. Other than that, I'd say just use the stick. Do you have the very latest drivers from Saitek? They just released new ones, might try 'em out.
  12. Damn straight
  13. Haha, its the big 5-00 right? Well, MJ, rather than call me a posting freak, can I be 'Pilot in Training'? That'd be nice.
  14. Nice looking too. Oh, I meant the truck. What did you think I meant? lol
  15. Oh, I know that the AG mode depresses it, but I know the actual gunsight allowed for manual depression. Maybe its cuz I haven't played for a while, but I don't remember the sights properly wobbling around the glass in the aircraft. But I do want to see manually depressable sights, and also manually adjustable wingspan adjustment. I remember even the F-86 had both these features, and later model Sabre's even had a ranging radar that auto adjusted the gunsight for proper lead.
  16. Will SF ever be able to feature manually depressable gunsights, and gyro-stabilised sights?
  17. Whoa. Thats pretty sweet. Can't wait to fly the finished bird.
  18. Whoops, guess I was wrong, I'm fifth in line, PC. I bow to your superiority.
  19. I've been looking around and only Ranger, MadJeff and Dagger have more posts than me. I'm jealous. And Ranger, dude, you are out of control, lol.
  20. It's really disappointing. I want to be a pilot and fly all of the aircraft they have already phased out, not some high-tech gadget like a JSF. An A-6 or better yet, an A-7 pilot would be great. Anything I can drop bombs on Gomer with, and the strafing option is an added plus.
  21. http://www.cockpits.net/index2.html Best Falcon 4.0 pits available, some for a price however. They are also great for converting to use in X-Plane.
  22. Weasel, F4SP already has much of that, lol. Thankfully, it also has a 4x time compression... and a scalable auto-pilot so you can run to the bathroom.
  23. lol, it could be pretty far out there, but we're just on top of something big, like anticipation for LO-MAC. Then we'd see a bit over the horizon, like an E-2's radar, .
  24. Yeah, FE, if you get a chance, can you send me an email about the path you took to become a pilot? I've got an NROTC scholarship, and I'd like to hear what you have to say about it.
  25. Whats the date? Might be suitable for a road trip, methinks.
