Did you get the boxed version? If so, it comes with a good printed manual. Getting used to the russian avionics is a little different, especially in air to ground. The restraints on releasing your bombs are very strict.

I think SimHQ has them too.

So FB won't let you reassign any of the axis's from the gamepad to the stick? Hmm, you might try playing in Il-2 Config, or the actual configuration file. Other than that, I'd say just use the stick. Do you have the very latest drivers from Saitek? They just released new ones, might try 'em out.

Oh, I know that the AG mode depresses it, but I know the actual gunsight allowed for manual depression. Maybe its cuz I haven't played for a while, but I don't remember the sights properly wobbling around the glass in the aircraft. But I do want to see manually depressable sights, and also manually adjustable wingspan adjustment. I remember even the F-86 had both these features, and later model Sabre's even had a ranging radar that auto adjusted the gunsight for proper lead.

It's really disappointing. I want to be a pilot and fly all of the aircraft they have already phased out, not some high-tech gadget like a JSF. An A-6 or better yet, an A-7 pilot would be great. Anything I can drop bombs on Gomer with, and the strafing option is an added plus.

I always loved the low level rocket attacks. Its fun to go zooming down in a Mirage III and pick off tanks with your Zuni's. I also loved taking out SAMs from about 10 miles off with a perfectly placed rocket, lol.

MadJeff, this isn't meant as a discussion of piracy, but about Jane's products, who actually gets the sale proceeds? The company no longer exists as anything but a subsidiery of Xicat, right? And when you can buy WWII Fighters for $5... makes you wonder how much of that ever leaves the store.

I could get IAF to run, but I didn't get an graphics in the menu screens, and I couldn't get any keyboard funcions to work in game. WWII Fighters runs great, and you can find it in the bargain bin in Jewel Case form for as little as five bucks. I think I also saw it in a compilation for like 15.
