I always loved the low level rocket attacks. Its fun to go zooming down in a Mirage III and pick off tanks with your Zuni's. I also loved taking out SAMs from about 10 miles off with a perfectly placed rocket, lol.

Anybody here have DOD 1.0 and knows how to get ingame voice chat to work? I know my mic works, I just can't get it to actually do anything in game.

MadJeff, this isn't meant as a discussion of piracy, but about Jane's products, who actually gets the sale proceeds? The company no longer exists as anything but a subsidiery of Xicat, right? And when you can buy WWII Fighters for $5... makes you wonder how much of that ever leaves the store.

I could get IAF to run, but I didn't get an graphics in the menu screens, and I couldn't get any keyboard funcions to work in game. WWII Fighters runs great, and you can find it in the bargain bin in Jewel Case form for as little as five bucks. I think I also saw it in a compilation for like 15.

I definately plan on keeping my GPA up. I plan on re-applying to the Naval Academy, so I'm not gonna hamper my chances by a low GPA. I took a lot of AP classes in high school, practically all of them my junior and senior year. Unfortunately, I only took the tests for two, didn't think I'd quite need the credit. But, I do get seven hours from those two tests.

On my current system, F-15 runs smooth as silk, Mig Alley too. AH runs good, and Falcon 4 is a dream. You're right, I just re-installed IAF a couple days ago, no go on that one. On that note though, USAF should be pretty cheap, and I know it'll run really well. I spend almost all of my sim time playing Il-2:FB. After that, occasionally EECH and Flanker 2.5. What kind of stick do you have?

Actually, lol, the folks were planning on getting me a car if I'd gone anywhere else, but since I'm gonna be somewhere I can't really have one, they figured I computer'd be a good substitute. I didn't send out any graduation info to anybody, so I haven't gotten anything back. I didn't really feel it was right. To me, high school graduation isn't that important, college is.

Golf company? Thats the one I stayed with during my pre-knob. I wasn't in band, so thats out. I'm hoping to do some boxing there, or maybe rifle. I'm a pretty fair shot, seriously. I heard the boxing is just club there, but thats alright. My JROTC was pretty slack on the normal marching, for normal cadets, but I was in the color guard, the drill team and the saber team, not to mention being a squadron commander. Actually, I was the XO of the corps in everything but name. I know my way about the drill pad. A good friend of mine's brother is gonna be a senior there, so I've heard a bit about the first week an all. I was originally planning on attending one of the military Academies, so I'm pretty ready for it. I mean, nobody is really ready, but I think I have a decent understanding of what I'm getting in to. One thing I have wondered, how do you go about getting a leadership position within the corps? I don't plan on just sitting back and 'just getting through'. I'd like to hold some position while I'm there, as high as I can get.

I'll be majoring in electrical engineering. I haven't been notified what company I'll be in. I went to a pre-knob visit in January, and I stayed in some of the old un A/C'd barracks. Not bad in winter, but I can imagine the hell it'll be in summer. As for the marching, lol, I was in AFJROTC for two years, I'm prepared for that. Only thing I'm worried about is the running. I already do a good bit of PT, and I know I can max out the push-ups and sit-ups, its the distance running that I'm not too hot at.

Care to guess what the announcement will be? I hope, I hope, I hope its not gonna be totalled.

Ordered an Alienware rig on Saturday. Figure I should get me something that'll last me the next four years of college. So, I splurged. Black Alienware Case with full cooling and graphics optimization: P4 3.0 Ghz, 800 mhz FSB 1 GB PC3200 Radeon 9800 Audigy 2 160 GB RAID HD 19 inch Samsung LCD Jeez, I can't wait... BTW, got a full 4 year NROTC scholarship to the Citadel. So, any of you guys in the Charleston area?

Haha, its no big deal. I've lost plenty of excellent X-Plane models, which really is too bad. Then again, nice thing about X-Plane is if you don't make it, chances are, somebody else'll come by and make it for you. If you go and look on X-Plane.org, there is a really nice, photo-realistic Su-17 available for download.

You guys shoulda have seen the Su-22 I made for X-Plane a while back. Excellent model, realistic as I could make it. Then, an unexpected HD crash...

Yeah, the heavy metal death rock stuff'll do pretty good with the tanks. 'Die MuthaF**ka Die' by Dope would be a good choice. Or, just play some old hair band glam rock and annoy 'em to death.
