Hey, I liked Saving Private Ryan too, as a movie. As a historical feature, it fell a bit flat. Too much of the plot was unrealistic and, to me, that means a lot. The beachhead scene was exellent, and the movie was historically accurate as to weapons, locations and setting. The plot is my only peeve with SPR.

Definately a good T-shirt.

Anybody here play Ka-52 Team Alligator? That was a pretty decent helo game. They crippled the flight model, but did actually take into account most of the physics of helo flight. If this sim can improve upon Ka-52 then I'll definately buy it.

MadJeff, dunno about CombatSim. They used to be my homepage, and when they went pay, I signed up as well. Kept my membership till they resigned their daily sim news and reviews and articles. BioHaz is my homepage now, and trust me, you're up there as my favorite simulator website. Keep the forums clean, productive and full of intelligent members. Keep the news and articles flowing. Most of all, keep us up to date with all the aspects of the sim community. Excellent job.

Do the CH pedals have toe brakes? I thought only the new F-16 pedals had working toe brakes.

Yeah, didn't win anything at my project prom, just took a helluvalot of pictures, wandered around, messed with all my friends. They had a killer obstacle course thing set up, rocked hardcore.

Did you hit 'e' to start the engines? I need to jack the settings down more on mine. I can't get decent frames at all. This is on a PC that can run Il-2:FB at full graphics and get 35 fps easy.

Jeez, its such a big deal now, limo's and stuff, god. I could do without all that nonsense. I wanted to just drive myself and my date, would been cheaper, lot less hassle. You have to go to your senior prom. And man, senior year is hard. Hard to know you're leaving all your friends, most of whom you'll never see or talk to again. Its pretty depressing. Its also one of the best years you'll have. Damn, I'm getting philosophical, lol.

Prom was cool, but yeah, had the most fun afterwards. If everything had gone according to plan, ten of us would be spending the weekend at Lake Conroe in a condo, but things didn't pan out. Too bad too, that would have been great. Then again, I probably wouldn't be able to remember my name on Monday.

Best movie (series) I've ever seen. As realistic as they can get, no Saving Private Ryan crap or campy storylines.

Alrighty, Ranger, back on subject, lol I checked those links, but couldn't find any definate answers. So, nobody here knows for sure how to become a commissioned pilot for the Army?

The reason I was asking is cuz right now I'm signed up for the Army's Early Commissioning Program. I didn't get an appointment to the AF Academy (For really a pretty s**tty reason, but thats another story) and right now NROTC is having problems getting their act together. NROTC just sent me a letter saying it'll be till mid-June before they announce scholarship recipients. So... ECP at NMMI is my current plan. More than anything, I want to be a pilot, and it doesn't matter what I fly so long as it's combat. Helicopters are my first choice, but I want to make sure I'm an officer instead of a WO, so thats why I'm a bit hesitant about the Army. I've asked my local recruiters, and they can't tell me anything about Army Aviation cept the quickest way is to be a WO.

How do you go about becoming a comissioned pilot for the Army? I know most helo pilots are warrant officers, but aren't there still commissioned pilots of both helos and fixed wing aircraft in the Army? All the recruiters I have asked can't tell me a single thing about becoming one.

I highly recommend downloading this or buying it. I've been playing Day of Defeat since around version 2, and I have to say its the best WWII FPS I've ever played. Definately worth the money, especially since its free.
