Planes dissapear in the distance, anyway to fix that?
ProblemChild posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I am new to this game but I am loving it and the dynamic campaign is amazing. my only and only problem is that planes just dissapear in the distance, literally just dissapear a short distance a way, around 200 - 500 meters away? not too sure but its very off putting and its clearly an issue for gameplay. I am using Patch July 2013 Wings over Korea mod I play on 3840x2160 4K resolution (I'd prefer playing on that) I have extracted the flightengine ini into SF2 Filght folder as well as to the korea folder and made some changes like turned off fade away and increased mesh values, but still to no avail? Anyway to fix this? Its literally the only thing destroying the fun I have with this game.- 16 replies

Il2 DD Update Dev Blog 347 "Albatros D.II, Nieuport 17, Li-2 VDV"
76.IAP-Blackbird posted a topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: News
Dear Friends, Summer is almost over and many team members are on their way back from vacation. During the year, the IL-2 team has grown at a record pace - 17 talented professionals have joined us. These programmers, artists, and other specialists have now finished their training, settled into the project, and are working full-time on all kinds of neat stuff, both announced and yet to be announced. You may know the only person who left due to family reasons - Kurt, our former Community Manager. (Fortunately, he is doing well and we wish him all the best). Please bear with us - even though it may seem like things are quiet from the outside, there is still a lot of work going on. Of course, all of the team members, old and new, are getting paid for more than just being really nice people. Today we want to show you the screenshots of the new planes that were taken today - they are in beta testing right now. The next two planes in Flying Circus Volume III are already in the air. Meet the legendary Nieuport 17... and Albatros D.II. The Soviet cousin of the C-47, the Li-2, is slowly but surely making its way there as well. This time there is a bit of winter action here. The upcoming 5.106 update will bring even more improvements. There will be new Career Mode missions (including an Intruder mission, a deep strike into enemy territory), updated campaigns, and more. See you in the skies! -

Plane Year Availability Problem
1309mariano posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hi, my name is Mariano and I recently installed SF2 in my PC. All went well, installed some planes, did the thing right. Now, when i wanna play with an installed plane, it only shows the manufacturing year. For example, the A-4AR by Bandidos Team starts at 1998 and ends in 2020, but in my case, I only see 1998 and I'm only allowed to play on that year. I will attach some screenshots for you to see whats happening... Anyone has a solution for this problem? Do i have to reinstall the planes? An update? Thank you in advance, have a great fly! -
DESERT STORM MOD FOR SF2?
JamesWilson posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hi everybody, I just got interested in the Operation Desert Storm mod, which is amazing imho. I haven't bought SF2 yet, and i see some planes (like the Tomcat) are not in the standard edition, but i should buy DLCs (North Atlantic expansion in this case). I've seen the Tomcat, among many other planes that are not included in the vanilla SF2 in the OP Desert Storm mod. Now i was wondering: do i need North Atlantic expansion or all DLCs for SF2 to get OP Desert Storm mod to work? Or even if i got no Tomcat in the vanilla game, as soon as i download the mod i'll get it together with all other planes and assets? Are all those things included in the mod, so i just need to install it, without having all SF2 DLCs bought? Or all the "extra" planes and assets i see in the mod are there thanks to DLCs and expansion packs? Thank you very much for helping me out guys- 10 replies
