Wrench Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 and using the Ant's IRIAF Phantom skins, and the color picker/eyedroper tool was not an option? Quote
Fubar512 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Then tell me a tip of what to search, as I don't find colour charts for modern planes even less for IRIAF. You cannot be serious...right? One of the results of 30 seconds spent on Google while on the phone with Wrench..... http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/f/59/33/0#2 Quote
Stratos Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Guys, those are skins or profiles. Not clean colous as used on the real planes, when selecting a colour on a skin or profile, you can select a darker or a brighter zone, is better "for me" to use the colour chart as posted on "DONCOLOR" web page. Thanks Quote
Wrench Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 pity those color charts don't give you the RGB values to create the necessary color chips for the paint palatte. and since when are aircraft sparkling clean and unweathered? might want to check, as has been mentioned several dozen times before, SimmersPaintshop.com for accurate FS color chips with proper RGB values. I can tell you right now what colors you'll need, AND the RGB values: 89,92,78 208,167,121 123,105,78 218,218,218 its a no brainer Quote
Fubar512 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 islamic green all over Or, Air Inferiority Orange Quote
Wrench Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) like this .... the "Martyr Maker" take one the loudest aircraft, with the most visible exhaust trail, an easily recognizable radar signature (TEWS), paint it the brightest color possible for maximum visibility, and use it to draw enemy aircraft into traps EDIT: new screenie. corrected decal positions, used correct slimers. looks 'more right' now Edited November 29, 2011 by Wrench Quote
Fubar512 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Could be worse, I imagine....could have been painted "Dead Fellow Yellow" Quote
Stratos Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 I can understand what you're trying to say Wrench. Didn't know anything of those RGB values before, thanks for the "tip". I needed those colours for a skin. A shame no template was available, weathering is almost unexisting, as my skills on that are close to 0. I will like to do a JH-7 FLying Leopard next. Or maybe a F-7. Any of those have templates? Quote
EricJ Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Looking nice but my only critique is where the green meets the green camo on the wing, other than that pretty nice... And if I had paid attention more to the topic I could have uploaded my template, which is here; J-10A.7z Quote
Stratos Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Thanks Eric, will rework the skin, using your template! Quote
Stratos Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 BTW anyone know why I have all those info on the screen (is even worse when I'm on the cockpit) and how I can eliminate it? It just appeared after I created a new install. Thanks. Quote
Wrench Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 is the HUDData.ini Debug= set to true? Quote
