      VFP-206 'Hawkeyes' TPScheme for the Mirage Factory F-8J

      Consider this skin to be some sort of upgrade of the 'TPS package'.

      Making this skin would not have been possible without the work done by the Gunfighters team and the Mirage Factory or without Column5's fantastic template. Thanks a lot, guys!

      Installation instructions

      Extract the contents of the rar file named 'TPS2' into a TEMP folder.

    17. VPAF MiG-17F #3020

      MiG-17F, #3020 Air Force of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam, 923rd Fighter Regiment Yen The, late 1960ies.

      this aircraft has become one of the most famous "green snakes" of the Vietnamese air force since it's public
      display in the late 1960ies. it sports 8 kill marks, amassed by different pilots. #3020 was allegedly
      flown by six-kill ace Le Hai when he shot down a F-4, 14. june 1968.

      popular narratives connect this aircraft with a dog fight between US-Navy aces Cunningham / Driscoll and
      the elusive "Col. Tomb" on 10.mai 1972. as of today there is no sign that this Vietnamese "super ace" ever
      existed outside U.S.-circles, and there is no reason to believe that this aircraft was involved in this fight.
      however, #3020 does not seem to have survived the war, since it is not displayed in Viet Nam which almost
      certainly would have been the case if it still existed.

    22. A-1H SEA Camo

      ---------------------------------------------
      Douglas A-1H "skyraider" Skin for Wings Over Vietnam/Strike Fighters by Volks
      ---------------------------------------------

      A-1H Skyraider SEA Camoflage

      Original aircraft and textures: MontyCZ and Myself
      New Skin/templates: Myself

      Foreword
      ===========================

      The Skyraider was the first aircraft to be produced for Strike fighters. It was also the first plane I skinned in the game. A revamp of the SEA camo was sorely needed and here it is. I have repaint it in better matching colours for the SEA camo, colours which I used for AD's F-105. I have also upgraded the weathering and other parts to current standards. I now beleive it has it place as a standard aircraft in WOV.

      Installation:
      ===========================

      Simply unzip the file (VietnamUSAFCamo) into your A-1H folder, which is located in the Objects/aircraft folder of your strike fighters/WOV installation. The folder "VietnamUSAFCamo" will appear with all required skin files. It should overwrite the existing skin in that folder ( my old version of the skin)

      Then open the Text file "A-1h.cfg" and enter the following text after the last skin entry:

      [TextureSetXXX]
      Directory=VietnamUSAFCamo
      Name=SEA Camoflage (Volks)
      Nation=USAF
      Squadron=VA36
      Specular=0.500000
      Glossiness=0.750000
      Reflection=0.000000

      Replace the XXX with whatever is next in squence

      I have also placed a new hanger screen and loading screen into the zip file as I didnt think the previous versions made the cut. If you like them just put them into the main A-1h folder.

    25. Generic Hill Scheme F-4E+F-4G Phantom II Skin for TW+MF model

      Generic Hill Scheme F-4E+F-4G Phantom II Skin for TW+MF model

      Update by Gerwin 6-4-2008

      DESCRIPTION:
      Wanting a good hill scheme Phantom II, I ended up using the Mirage
      Factory F-4G 'Late' Skin. Over time I made the following modifications:

      -Scaled the skin down to the default resolution 512x512.
      -Replaced certain skin parts with the default texture, such as the exhaust.
      -Overlayed a subtile weathering layer. raised blue saturation.
      -Fixed the numbering decals for the tail.
      -Erased the insignia from the skins and replaced them with decals.
      -Overlayed the default panel lines on the fuselage, tail and nose.
      -Adjusted various details.
      -Made an F-4E suitable variant (different slimers, nose gun etc).

      Regarding the F-4E tail codes: they are somewhat a copy of the F-4G codes.
      I am a bit uncertain on the historical accuracy of this.

      INSTALLATION:
      For the F-4G skin you need to have the Mirage Factory F-4G model installed.
      you can find it at http://www.column5.us

      Copy the included folder with contents to the folder that contains
      the F-4 files, for example:
      WOE\Objects\Aircraft\F-4E
      When in the game select the skin in the loadout screen.

      THANKS TO:
      Third Wire for the Strike Fighters Based Games.
      Mirage Factory for the F-4G modification,
      and base F-4G late skin (credited to Sundowner).
