F-101B Voodoo V1.1
By ErikGen
McDonnell F-101B Voodoo v1.1
McDonnell had built 480 F-101Bs, the two-seat, all-weather interceptor used by the Air Defense Command from 1969 to 1972. Surviving USAF aircraft were transferred to the ANG where they served until 1982.
This aircraft is the version equipped with IRTS sensor.CREDITS:

Thank you very much, guys.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
25-12-2008 - V1.01 - fixed error in right wing texture ... noone noticed it untill Badfrank tried to apply a (not historical) camo skin ... the two wings were sharing the same texture side. Now all seems to be ok. Thanks Badfrank.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
23-01-2009 - V1.1 - Last change
- changes to various meshes in order to eliminate little imperfection i saw (old skins are not compromised)
- minor .ini elaboration (ehm ... simply i dont remember what i did)
- disabled the SpecificStationCode=AIM4 row from falcon WeaponStations and augmented load limits ; who have the AIM4 code into his weapondata.ini should remove the two slashes in order to get back them
- updated old skins with new details from Mike (mppd)
- added a Canadian skin as bonus for your patience.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F-104A Starfighter, RJAF
By Wrench
F-104A Starfighter, Royal Jordanian Air Force, for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI
This is a mod of Ajundair's F-104A to those as used by the RJAF.
This is a complete aircraft, all inclusive with all the little various and sundry bits needed to just unzip and fly away. It is designed for use with NO weapons pak, =or= The Mirage Factory Weapons Pak, as the drop tanks are "stock items" in the SF, WoV, WoE, and WoI objects.cat. The Bunyap Weapons Pak can also be used; it really makes no difference who's or which one!
HOWEVER -- I've included a nation-specific version of the AIM-9B "Sidwinder", set for only RJAF usage. Using the new 'station specific' mounting, you shouldn't run into any problems with it showing up on other aircraft uwanted. Just for fun, I've included that hack-job Recon Pod I did last year for the European Zippers. Full, detailed instructions on adding them to are included below. So, get your weapons editor warmed up!
The skin is the stock natural metal, as seen on the Pakistani F-104A (in fact, it IS the same skin bmps!) All I've really done is just create a 'nation-specific' version, using ALL stock decals for markings. I have also included the A-Z letter decals seen in some photos I found while researching this. New Arabic serial numbers (900-925) and also included. All in all, I can take NO credit for the skin, just for those few decals I've supplied.
Loadouts have been adjusted to reflect the 'newish' style of weapons mounting. The data ini is as orignally issued when the aircraft first was released. It may need some FM adjustments, but that's above my pay-grade :)
A new WoI hangar screen, based off the WoE-style is included. As is the WoE one, for those wishing to install into SF/WoE/WoV, etc.
While designed with WoI in mind, it is perfectaly usable in any of the other 3W sims
As usual, PLEASE read the enclosed readme file; installations is pretty simple (for once!), as is adding the weapons.
Happy Landings!

F-104A/C Superpak
By Dave
F-104A/C Superpack by USAFMTL For wpnssgt's F-104
This pack includes 18 skins all done by me using updated templates of Sundowner.
Tweaked the data.ini on both planes. Fixed Thrust values, range, speed etc.
Notes
This F-104A is the gunless one. You get 2 winders only just like it had until 1964. I have included though a data.ini that has the gun for later use if you want.
The F-104C could carry 4 winders, 2 on the wing tips and 2 under the fuse. However after great amount of research it was almost never used as the fuse missiles seeker head would get damaged all the time. So I did not include it.
Make sure you have the latest weps pack installed. Also this will only work with people who have the older versions of SF that came with the F-104G as it uses the G pit.
Original model by wpnssgt, original textures by Sundowner. All updates by me. Skins by me.
Just zip the pack, run the .exe files to a folder of your choosing. Then drop the files in your aircraft folder. Go fly.
There are 6 F-104C skins and 12 F-104A skins.
Enjoy

F-104G Hellenic Air Force
By Wrench
F-104G Starfighter, Hellenic Air Force Mod
A Stand-Alone aircraft for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI
This is a compliation of several people's work, placed into an easy to install (and use) package. It is a full aircraft, complete with all the inis, lods, cockpit, 2 skins and various and sundry bits thrown in for good measue. (See Notes section below)
Basically, what I did was take Ajundair's F-104G, and created a 'nationalized' version for the Greek Air Force. I added Dave's (ex-USAFMTL) SEA-style camo skin, a full cockpit, the necessary decals, and viola! We have a new airplane. I also re-did the Natural Metal skin completely, as the panel and rivet lines were far too dark.
Included are Euro-green camo tanks, from my Fix Pak for the stock 3rdWire unit, for those inclined to add them. However, I left the data and loadout inis pointing to the stock silver tanks, as while doing research, about half of the pictures showed even the camo aircraft using them.
It is set up to use either of the weapons paks; the Bunyap Pak or Mirage Factory, or even NONE at all!!! As it is a complete aircraft, it should also be usable in WoI, although this particular aircaft has not been tested as such -- BE ADVISED, that WoI handles flight models differently, and I (and the folks that originaly built this) cannot be responsible for "adverse handling conditions, leading to uncontroled flight into terrain". Be that as it may, it should work passably!
See the enclose readme for more, pretty simple instructions, and the usual Notes/Commentary/General Noise stuff.
Happy Landings!!

F-104S-ASA-M Starfighter Mods
By Wrench
A Small Modification of Jet-Zs excellent Italian Air Force F-104S-ASA
This is a modification of, like it says in the title, of the F-104S-ASA in the final, pen-ultimate Super Starfighter as used by the Italian Air Force.
It is based on JetZ's work, along with Crab_02 3d modeling to create the weapons pylons and a few other niceties that were needed. In fact, very little of the original data ini has been changed, other than updating the weapons types, and service years, and cockpit tweeks by me. All the rest, is still their work.
This mod/upgrade/tweek package makes use of several items from the stock games...it is MOST important you have the original 3rd Wire stock issue of the F-104G. Many of it's components are used. --PLEASE NOTE: this is not to be used with any of the Starfighters built and released by Ajundair; it is for the stock 3rd Wire 104G -ONLY-!!!!
== THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE AIRCRAFT - YOU WILL NEED THE STOCK 3RD WIRE F-104G TO MAKE USE OF THIS MOD ==
You MUST have the latest weapons pak installed to make use of the pylons/ventral strake kit necessary for your missiles and other neat things!!!
1) Most important, you'll need to have the stock 3rd Wire F-104G Starfighter, as this is the airframe base. If you don't have it already in game (ie: for WoV*), you can get it at CombatAce or from 3rd Wire's downloads section.
*It should be noted, that in fully patched up versions of ALL the sims - especially WoV- all the needed lods are already in place inside the object.cat.*
2) You'll need JetZ's really cool "ITLowVis" skin, availabe at his site:
http://www.12packproductions.com/JetZ/index.html
If you're a Zipper-head, he's got some SUPERB skins there for the 104. I'd also reccomend getting his F-104S, and 104S-ASA, not only to round out the set, but they're nice additions. And the original basis of this work. The lo-vis skin is part of the 104S/S-ASA package, so you might as well get it all, don't ya think????
There are further, fully detailed instructions in the read on how to create the full aircraft -- PLEASE read them!!!
Credits: all credit goes to JetZ and Crab_02 for creating the S and S-ASA version of the Zipper,
TK for giving us the F-104 in the first place, and WoE (where I got the cockpit parts)
I can only take credit for some ini editing, that gives us this last operational, full interceptor version of the Starfighter.
Happy Landings!

F-105D-31 Thunderchief introduction & History
***********************************
Built by Republic Aircraft, the F-105 was designed as a supersonic, single-seat, fighter-bomber able to carry nuclear weapons and heavy bomb loads over great distances at high speeds. It made its first flight on October 12, 1955. The first F-105D (58-1146) flew on 9 June 1959. The TAC at Nellis AFB, Nevada, accepted the first F-105D on September 28, 1960. The initial contract for 59 F-105Ds was increased to nearly 300 by the end of 1961. Ultimately, 610 F-105Ds were built.
The F-105D variant was an all-weather fighter-bomber version, fitted with monopulse and Doppler radar for night or bad weather operations. This radar was capable of terrain avoidance commands. The original weapons bay, designed for nuclear stores, was sealed and fitted with additional fuel tanks. Bombs were carried on multiple weapons racks on the centerline of the fuselage, and on wing pylons. The aircraft was fitted with a retractable in-flight refueling probe. During the Vietnam War, F-105 units operated from bases in Thailand.
The F-105D was the major production version of the Thunderchief series. It was an all-weather version of the day-only F-105B. Externally, the -D differed from the -B in having a slightly longer and wider nose, which housed the AN/ASG-19 "Thunderstick" system designed to meet new all-weather requirements specified in the November 1957. The AN/ASG-19 was designed around the NASARR R-14A all-purpose monopulse radar. This was optimized in both air-to-ground and air-to-air modes and was capable of performing both low-level and high-altitude missions. The aircraft was equipped with a General Electric FC-5 flight control system that operated in conjunction with the R-14A radar to provide the F-105D with full all-weather capability. The system included a bomb-toss computer, a sight system, an AN/APN-131 Doppler navigator, an air data computer, missile launch computer, autopilot, and search and ranging radar. The radar installation also incorporated a terrain guidance mode permitting the pilot to descend through bad weather in unfamiliar territory and to hug the ground, avoiding detection.
A J75-P-19W jet engine equipped with water injection powered the F-105D. A new cockpit was provided with a vertical instrument panel. The higher gross weight of the -D version required the provision of a stronger main landing gear and more robust brakes. In addition, a pitot tube was mounted on the extreme tip of the nose. The aircraft were otherwise quite similar to other F-105s. The F-105D had an arrester hook mounted on the rear of the ventral fin. This hook was intended to engage a wire in case the aircraft overshot the end of the runway during a landing. The Thunderchief was not capable of carrier-based operations.

F-105F and G Thunderchief introduction & History
***********************************
The F-105F was heavily committed to combat over Southeast Asia. Some were quickly adapted for the "Wild Weasel" air-defense suppression role, fitted with electronics to detect enemy radars and target air defense sites for destruction in advance of strike packages. The original Air Force "Wild Weasel I" was a modified two-seat North American F-100F Super Sabre, but the F-100 wasn't fast enough to keep up with F-105 strike packages, and so the F-105F was selected for the role.
The major elements of the modification were addition of the "APR-25 Radar Homing And Warning (RHAW)" system, which picked up and located radar sites; the "APR-26 Launch Warning Receiver (LWR)", which provided warning of a missile launch; and an "IR-133 Scan Receiver" to search for emitters. The back-seat "electronics warfare officer (EWO)" controlled these devices and had a cockpit CRT to help locate targets.
The first such F-105F "Wild Weasel II", sometimes informally known as an "EF-105F", performed its first flight on 15 January 1966, and the Wild Weasel Thuds were engaged in active combat by the spring of that year. A total of 86 Wild Weasel F-105F conversions were performed.
The Wild Weasel F-105F was armed with the new "AGM-45 Shrike Anti-Radar Missile (ARM)", a modified Sparrow AAM with a radar-homing head, to destroy radar transmitters, and attacked air-defense sites with CBU-24 cluster bombs and other munitions. Sometimes Wild Weasel F-105Fs worked with F-105Ds in "hunter-killer" teams, with the Wild Weasel Thud pinpointing the target and the F-105Ds destroying it.
While other aircraft could avoid air-defense sites when possible, Wild Weasels actually had to attract their attention and take them on. This led to the Wild Weasel motto, which was "YGBSM", standing for "You Gotta Be s**ttin' Me!" Apparently this was the reaction of the first Wild Weasel aircrews when they were told what they were getting themselves into.
Wild Weasel crews were generally gutsy sorts, and they evolved tactics for outflying SAMs launched at them. They would watch for a missile launch, and then fly straight at the SAM at high speed, turning at the last moment. The fast-moving SAM would not be able to turn quickly enough to bring the fighter into the blast radius of its warhead.
Two Wild Weasel F-105F pilots won the highest American military award, the Congressional Medal of Honor. On 10 March 1967, Captain Merlyn F. Dethlefsen was piloting one of four Wild Weasel Thuds paving the way for a strike package. The leader was shot down by anti-aircraft fire, and North Vietnamese MiG-21 fighter made repeated passes on the survivors, trying to force them to dump their ordnance. Dethlefsen pressed home the attack anyway and destroyed the site. All three surviving Wild Weasels returned home with severe damage. Dethlefsen was personally awarded the medal by President Johnson.
On 19 April 1967, Lieutenant Colonel Leo K. Thorsness had completed a Wild Weasel strike when his wingmates were shot down. He was low on fuel but stayed around to cover the air rescue operation, driving of a flight of MiG-17s that tried to interfere. Thorsness shot down one MiG and damaged another. He passed up an opportunity to refuel from a tanker when another aircraft breathing fumes showed up, and landed safely at Ubon, a forward base in Thailand.
On 30 April, Thorsness' F-105 was hit and badly damaged. He and his EWO ejected, Thorsness being badly injured in the process, and were captured by the North Vietnamese. They spent over six years in a North Vietnamese POW camp.
* 56 Wild Weasel F-105Fs were later updated to an improved "Wild Weasel III" configuration with the designation "F-105G", featuring improved avionics, as well as jammer pods that were faired into the forward fuselage, freeing up the underwing pylons for other stores. 14 of the F-105Gs were further modified to carry the big AGM-78 "Standard Anti-Radar Missile (STARM)", an air-launched variant of the US Navy's "Standard" SAM.

F-107 'Ultra' Sabre for SFP1/SFG/WOV/WOE
By FastCargo
Version 1.0
Thanks to the following folks:
TK - For the ThirdWire series of sims.
Bunyap - The original modder who created the F-107 MAX file and released it to Dave.
Dave - For providing the original model to me, decals, texture updates, loading screens
Klavs81 - Original textures
dwcace - For providing me with additional reference material
To my fellow Combatace moderators - For helping me beta test and work out bugs.
Any errors or mistakes are entirely mine.
What you will need first:
Thirdwire Weapons Editor - http://www.thirdwire.com/downloads_tools.htm
Strike Fighters Project 1/Strike Fighters Gold/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe - One of these are needed to provide the wing fuel tanks, some decals, and either the F-104 or F-105 cockpit.
This addon will currently not work properly with Strike Fighters 2 or Wings Over Israel (19 Jan 09).
Aircraft Information:
From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_F-107
The North American F-107, nicknamed "Ultra Sabre", was North American Aviation's entry for a United States Air Force tactical fighter-bomber design competition of the 1950s. The F-107 incorporated many innovations and radical design features, and was based on the F-100 Super Sabre. The competition was eventually won by the F-105 Thunderchief, and the F-107 prototypes ended their lives as test aircraft.
The F-107A was originally designed as a tactical fighter-bomber version of the F-100, and was entered into a competition sponsored by the Air Force. Originally designated F-100B, the aircraft featured a recessed weapons bay under the fuselage, as well as an all-moving vertical fin and a control system which permitted the plane to roll at supersonic speeds.
The aircraft's most distinguishing feature is its Variable Area Inlet Duct, mounted in an unconventional position directly above and just behind the cockpit, which automatically controlled the amount of air fed to the jet engine. The air intake was moved from the chin position (an arrangement later adopted for the F-16) to the unusual dorsal location as the USAF had required the carriage of an underbelly semi-conformal nuclear weapon. The original chin intake caused a shockwave that interferred in launching this weapon. The implications this had for the survivability of the pilot during ejection were troubling. It also severely limited view to the rear, although this was not considered terribly important for a bomber aircraft, it is notable during an era when it was assumed air combat would be via guided missile exchanges outside visual range.
Extensive design changes resulted in its redesignation from F-100B to F-107A before the first prototype flew.
The F-107 was never given an official name, but was sometimes informally called the "Ultra Sabre," referring to North American's earlier fighter designs, the F-86 Sabre and the F-100 Super Sabre. The flight crews referred to it as the "Man Eater," in reference to the position of the air intake directly above the cockpit.
The designation "F-107A" was the only one assigned to the aircraft, though "YF-107A" is often used in publications.
Notes and Limitations:
Part of the SWOTUSAF series of aircraft.
Because the real aircraft never proceeded beyond the prototype stage, loadouts, mission capabilities and operational paint schemes are projections only.
3 skins are provided - The original prototype scheme, a natural metal scheme, and a Vietnam era scheme.
Because this aircraft was in competition with the F-105, we projected that it would have taken over the Thud's role in Vietnam, in addition to the air superiority/interceptor role the original F-100 was designed for. So loadouts reflect this.
The aircraft refers to some decals, visual effects, sounds, ejection seat and fuel tanks from the F-100D. The cockpit is based on a single engine fighter with a radar using the J75...either the F-104 or F-105 works fine...it defaults to the F-104 cockpit. You will have to install any other cockpit yourself.
The FM is mainly based on the F-100D, and so shares that FMs limitations. The real test article reached 2.35 Mach...this model has gone up to 2.2 Mach in level flight.
Animations for the canopy and air refueling probe use Animation control keys 1 and 2. Check your Controls page to figure out what keys you need to hit.

F-110A 'Wraith' Package
By Wrench
F-110A "Wraith" Mod Pak for SF/WoV/WoE
A "What If..." Cold War Aircraft
First of all, I have to extend a great deal of thanks to BadFrank from the CombatAce message boards, as this entire thing was his idea!! He's also the person that found the mesh names for the rear canopy for me to get the decal on (it's also his decal, I just repainted it).
What we have here is a mod of the F-4B creating a single-seat version of the Phantom. This version is designed for US Air Force use, as a long-range missile armed interceptor, along the lines of the F-102, F-106 and even it's older brother, the F-101A Voodoo. This aircraft has NO air-to-ground capabilities, in keeping with it's role as a continential air defense interceptor.
A gun pod (SUU-16) can be loaded as they become available (later service year dates)
All items used, excepting the new weapons, are stock 3rd Wire, and are readily available in each of the varying versions of the game. It makes use of stock, albeit renamed skin files, some of which have been repainted by me. I've included them in the package, as it's easier than having the end user transfer and rename files. And again, as they're all stock items, they exist in all versions of the game. As should all the serial decals as well.
You'll be adding a couple of new 'weapons', a modified Scooter hump and a rebuild of my 'hack job' F-104 Recon Pod, now modified/renamed/tweeked for use on the Phantom.
Full, detailed instrustions on all facets of installation are in the enclosed readme, along with full credits for folks who helped out. -- so PLEASE read the cursed thing!!! It'll make your life easier, I promise you!
Enjoy!
