This script outputs to a text file from MAX the min/maxExtentPosition for all of a models nodes
The min / max extents are calculated on the bounding box of the node so YMMV if you have very irregular nodes (some hand tuning)
Obviously this is only of use to people with the max file models…
The output looks like this

In #10 (Mustang says it's #4 in the video, but I renamed it to a higher number as it deals with completed models, etc.) Mustang covers how to 'un-wrap' objects and use Lithunwrap so that skins can be made.

A little app for managing, viewing and modifying TW game colour swatches
Probably only really useful (maybe) for those playing with environments and effects
It’s a little rough so let me know if anyone finds glaring errors or thinks it could be better … anyone being the 1.5 people who find it useful ;-)

Forty-two editable swatches for your comparing pleasure
All swatches are nameable
Save out all swatch/names to a txt file
Load in saved txt files

This mod will allow you to add a personalized photo attached with a piece of tape to just about any cockpit.
Things you will need:
1. Any version of a ThirdWire sim patched to Oct 08 or newer.
2. A graphics editing program (Gimp, Paint.net, Adobe Photoshop, etc) that can work with .bmp files.

This mod will change how the cockpit interacts with the external model. You may need to do multiple adjustments depending on how they relate to each other. If you are NOT willing to be ready to do this, DO NOT install this mod.

Notes:
This still relies on the FE Open Cockpit method to make outside parts visible inside the cockpit.
The 'photo' will be visible externally as well, but only for a very short distance...in other words, you won't see it outside unless you're very close up.

Just a little, illustrated word doc, as I was asked how I create decal tgas. Based on using Photoshop 6, most of the informations should be applicable to any and all other image manipulation programs. (that is, those that can handle 32 bit tgas)
If it need expanding, just let me know!

this is the 3rd Wird cat extractor for SF/Wo* games at the 08 patch level.
unzip, and drop on you deskpop; especially if your machine is Vista or Windows 7. You can run the executable from there, and then navigate to the cat you wish to extract.
It works on my Win7 machine, with the single remaning 08 game install

This macro will put all weapon datas in the differents sheets
the guidance type is transformed in text
the label type is transformed in text

col 1 must be Weapondataxxxx
col 2 number of weapondata is writen automatically by the macro you can change the others col
1 line must remain with the weapon labels like in txt file new labels col are add on the right
macro works automatically
some format are adds (borders, blu for weaopon code) others formats can be changed in excel file and will remain

Installation
Note only tested on max9 but “should” work apparently on the earlier versions
Before you run max
Copy the script to your “3dSmax\scripts” directory
Run max
Go Menu > Maxscript > Run Script
Navigate (if you need to) to the “3dSmax\scripts” Directory and select minmaxextents.mcr
Nothing will happen ;-)
Go menu > Customize > Customize user interface
Under either the Keyboard OR the Toolbar Tab…
Select Utilities from the Category Dropdown
Assign the (hopefully visible) “Min Max Extents” script to either a keyboard shortcut or drag the icon up on to a toolbar
Phew…
Use
With a model open, run the script and it will prompt you for a text file name to save the output to
Once its finished it “should” open notepad for you to copy/paste the output into your data.ini
Otherwise just open the saved file in any text editor for the same result

Adicionei umas imagens contendo um gráfico de uma rosa dos ventos com as coordenadas para facilitar a localização e a direção dos veículos durante o jogo, pois toda vez que ia fazer uma missão sempre meu avião iniciava sempre na direção errada... hehehehehe......
Apesar de ter muita gente que somente faz download no forum e critica o nosso esforço dizendo que os arquivos não funcionam e nem ajudam com sugestões, e que na maioria da vezes não fazem um pequeno esforço de prestarem um pouco de atenção nas instruções e tentarem quebrar um pouco a cabeça pensando em como o WOI funciona, a gente ainda assim contribui com o forum..... desculpem a sinceridade mas obrigado pelo desabafo...

I had once planned to add some scrap-built models modified from other designers' works, in order to have the French jets present over Kuwait in 1991 flyable in the Operation Desert Storm mod, where I miss them badly. Having now given up for a while, and not planning to keep on the WIP in a close future, I deposit here some of the documentation I had gathered, and above all the historical booklet I had prepared by synthesizing several articles brightened up by chosen pictures. The main source is my packed translation of a set of "warm" articles, published in March 1991 in a fine French military magazine. I still hope that this work could encourage some modders to keep on the work about the Jaguar A and other concerned aircraft.

This is an MS excel spreadsheet and accompanying text file that covers Strike Fighters Project 1, Wings Over Vietnam, and Wings over Europe. It just lists the various campaigns, the squadrons that are in each campaign, what aircraft they fly at the time and finally if they upgrade aircraft during the campaign and if they move to another base. Thought this would be useful for most people so they can know what squadron flys an F-4B or the F-15A or the F-104A. There are also additional tabs for additional campaigns as they come along. If you would like to add your own campagin Squadron data to this please feel free to email me the data and I will add a tab for it in the spreadsheet.

Hi folks, I've knocked up a Java program and an HTML doc which helps to illustrate the range of colours available with the game.
The HTML doc contains pictures of the colour palette, displayed as a series of panels, with instructions on how to interpret the panels to get the colour you want when specifying RGB values in your LightSets etc.
Hope you find this useful. I know I have (nice to see all the colours displayed in one place).
