    1. Scramble !!!!

Resitance has uncoverd a large gap in the enemys observation defenses. Fly low, rush in undetected, and try and get as many enemy planes before they can take off. To assist in our mission, resistance has cut all telegraph communications between bases. Destroy all efforts to repair these communication links.

    2. American Operations Meuse-Argonne 9.26.1918 - EOW (1937)

with the pending "Hat in the Ring" add-on I thought it might be nice to have a new map to cover some of the American operations.

this is taken from a 1937 U.S. official volume: as such several war memorials are included on the map. while anachronistic for the purposes of OFF, I felt that having at least some sort of map to cover American operations would be nice to have. this is my first experiment with this sort of project. I had to photo-copy the stuff in the libary before I could scan and composite any of the images. sorry about how primitive it is. but I hope it helps out with game play!

the thick black lines and gray patches indicate the progress of the Allied attacks. the time covered is from Septeber 26th until the end of the war.

taken from the 1937 revision of "A Guide to the American Battle Fields in Europe".

    3. A Bridge Too Far.rar

We have succeded in destroying almost all the heavy bridges, and slowed the enemy advance, but at a very heavy cost, but there is one more bridge large enough for the enemy to move equipment necessary for it to substain an offense. Amongst heavy debate, HeadQuarters has decided to take a gamble, and attempt an attack at this last bridge. Resouces are slim, but considering the stratigic importance of this target, we have pooled an impressive force. The bridge MUST be destroyed. Escort the bombers, and DO NOT leave them unattended

Notes: The Bristols are considered "props" in this mission. They are there to give you something to Escort, and do have the function of bombing the bridge. I could not find a way to slow them down in mission builder, so to get them to fly in a manner that the escort fighters did not fall far behind, I gave the bombers "zig-zag" waypoints.

The Bombers with an "*" next to them when you are selecting your planes in the mission are flyable, if you want to selct a bomber.

To keep the size of the mission down, none of the axis planes are flyable.

All of the Se5a's have cockpits, and are flyable.

    5. Spandau_Winston-Mod.rar

With the release of the Hat in the Ring expansion, the spandau gun sound was changed to a rather weak and puny sounding effect. I found myself fixating on the weak "ticka-ticka-ticka" sound so much that I couldn't concentrate on flying. What a step backwards in my opinion to the great sounding spandau's from the previous patches. I dug into my backup files and pulled the spandau gun .wav from patch 5 and increased the speed(tempo) somewhat to give it a faster rate of fire. Here's my modded .wav file if you want to try it. Install instructions included.

    6. Beach Assault at Dawn

This is a corrected version. In orignal mission, the ammo dump was not a goal object. In v2 it is, and will show inflicted damage.

We are providing air and bomber support for an amphibious assault of a fortified beach head. Take control of an Se5a Viper, and help soften up the beach head for the landing party, then search out the ammo dump that supplies the bunkers along the coast and givem hell!

Bristols are for support only, they do have cockpits, but limited waypoints.

Download file to seperate folder. Run installer. Please look at readme.

    8. Albatros D.V (early) Skin for Jasta 10

For this Albatros I have made a new Mauve-Green camo. JFM wrote to me, that the darker tone
on the B+W photos was most likely the green; so I used Fokker's dark green here.
Then I made a slightly lighter Mauve after the tone used in the Lozenge patterns.
Wether it is historically correct or not - I liked what I had got.

I used it on an early Albatros D.V - that is the originally delivered version with the headrest.
This was later mostly removed by the Jastas for better vision, and finally given up by Albatros.
But I wanted to fly one of these with an own skin, and here it is for all to use now.

Jasta 10 was one of the four Jasta of "Richthofen's flying Circus" (Jasta 4, Jasta 6, Jasta 10
and Jasta 11) - they were always in the thick of it. When they had the D.V they were in northern
Flanders. So, if you want a lot of action, this skin could be the right one to use. Enjoy!

Many thanks to the OBD Skinners, who created the immense output of over 3.400 skins for OFF.
I work from their original works and would have been lost without that.

    15. alt_low 1917

this is the standard in-flight map from the game. I've taken two maps and overlayed them transparently to help with navigation. rather than try to get the entire nation to line up, I've only selected the areas which seem to get action in the game. you'll need to change the name from "alt_low 1917" to "alt_low" to get it to work.

    16. Ltn Josef Raesch Fokker DVIIF

Lieutenant Josef Raesch (born 4 June 1897, date of death unknown) flew with Jasta 43.
He was credited with seven aerial victories, two of which were over other aces, Guy Wareing and Ernest Charles Hoy.

On 26th July 1918, he was forced to abandon his burning DVII and parachuted to safety

2 months later, he was given a Pfaltz DXII but was unhappy with the new fighter..and he wrote: "I am very unhappy with the Pfaltz. It does not climb well, is clumsy in turns, and will not keep up with the formation"

    24. Nieuport 17 "Mathilde

the original Nieuport 17 skin was made by Rabu. it's the Escadrille 65 stock skin.

the heart was borrowed from OBD skin for Werner Voss (D.III), which I believe was done by Paarma. I had to distort it quite a bit to get the face to fit over it.

the face was rendered free hand on a piece of paper and then scanned.

I made up a new bogus serial number to replace the original.

finally, I picked the name "Mathilde" because it's based on an old Germanic name that means "mighty in battle", or some such thing.
