  1. Nieuport 21

The Nieuport 21 was designed to be a long range escort fighter. It used a Nieuport 17 airframe with the smaller Nieuport 11 engine to reduce fuel consumption and  extend its range. The lighter weight gave the plane a good climb rate, but the lower power engine reduced its speed.
The Nieuport 21 served along with the Nieuport 17 on the Western Front. It was also licensed to the Dux factory in Russia and large numbers were used on the Eastern Front.
My version of the Nieuport 21 is armed with a single Lewis gun mounted on the upper wing and has a loadout for eight Le Prieur Rockets for Balloon Busting missions. This package features two skins - one French, one Russian - a set of decals, and a fully functional cockpit. My skinning templates are included with the download.
This plane uses the Le Prieur Rockets created by P10ppy and a sound file created by Nixou (included with his Realistic Engine Sounds package). Both of these files are available in the Combat Ace Download section. Both of these files are used by other aircraft, so you may already have them. I have included Nixou's sound file with this package in case you don't already have it.

    Credits:
My thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the Nieuport 21.
My thanks to Nixou for making the sound file for the Le Rhone 80hp engine.

    Installation instructions:
This aircraft uses P10ppy's Le Prieur rockets available in the CombatAce downloads section. You may already have it. If you don't, you'll have to download it and  install it into your Weapons folder.
    For FE1:
Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport21" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. If you don't already have it, copy the file named "LeRhone9c80hp1m4" from my Sounds folder into yours.
    For FE2:
Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport21" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in your FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "Nieuport21". Move the folder named "D" from the Airplanes/Nieuport21 folder into the Decals/Nieuport21 folder you just made. If you don't already have it, copy the file named "LeRhone9c80hp1m4" from my Sounds folder into yours.

  4. EmlD Nieuport 24 E (trainer) for First Eagles 2

EmlD Nieuport 24E (trainer) "Issoudun Nieuport series" for First Eagles 2
This is a full aircraft type, trying to represent the trainer Nieuports used by United States at Issoudun.
"Issoudun Nieuport series" a set of several Nieuports used by the United States to train pilots during WW1 in France at Issoudun airdrome. Many of these Nieuports had very atypical painting schemes, between them, two with fish scales were "The Jazbo" And the "Flying Fish" (also called the "Dragon ship" or "Gwynne's Goldfish") and several others. Also these were considered "special ships" and representative of their unit. Often they were just for formation flying. Each crew tried to keep these bird primed for inspection. At Field eight there were multiple single coloured Nieuport 24 types used as aggressors for camera armed dogfights so a student could prove he had gotten his opponent. I gathered most of them in this series of skins.
This first pack features EmlD Nieuports 24 that I renamed Nieuport 24E (trainer).

  6. Beardmore built Nieuport 12

The Nieuport 12 was built under license by Beardmore & Co. Ltd. for both the RNAS and the RFC. The Beardmore version differed from the French version in many small ways; the most obvious differences were - a vertical stabilizer at the tail, a slightly longer lower wing, and a different engine cowling. My version has a Lewis Gun mounted on a Scarff Ring for the observer and a Vickers Gun mounted on the fuselage for the pilot.

The British built Nieuports had the insignia placed differently from the French versions, my decal ini's are British style. I have included two skins, a brown and linen skin for the RFC, and a dark green skin for the RNAS. There is a set of appropriate serial number decals for each. My skinning templates are included with the download. I have also made British faces for the cockpit instruments.

Because of the many minor differences, the skins, cockpit, and data file are not interchangeable with my original Nieuport 12.

    Credits:
My thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the original N12, I have made slight changes for the Beardmore version.

    Installation instructions:
For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport12Beardmore" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder.

For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport12Beardmore" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "Nieuport12Beardmore". Move the folder named "D" from the Airplanes/Nieuport12Beardmore folder into the Decals/Nieuport12Beardmore folder you just made.

  7. Nieuport 10

The Nieuport 10 was the first of the classic wing-and-a-half, V-strut Nieuports. Designed in 1914, it combined the visibility of a monoplane with with the strength of a biplane. The Nieuport 10 was designed as a two seater, but was underpowered. Many of them were converted to single seat planes and with the addition of a wing mounted machine gun, the Nieuport 10 became an effective fighter for the early years of World War I. My model is configured as a single seat fighter.

I have included three skinning options, which are identical except for the decals. The Italian Linen uses the Italian insignia and includes the red and green underwing panels. The Russian skin uses the Russian insignia and includes the roundels on the tail planes. The Standard Linen can be used for all the other Entente powers. This plane uses the national markings that come with First Eagles, so you can easily change nationalities (in the Standard Linen skin only.)

I have included decals for serial numbers which will be applied randomly.

    Historical Notes:
The numbers are fictious, but in the correct range for most Nieuport 10s. British planes carried a four digit serial number on the fuselage, Italian planes used "Ni" instead of "N" in the serial numbers.

    Credits:
My thanks once again to Ojcar for making the excellent data.INI file for this plane.
My thanks to Nix for making the realistic sound file for the Le Rhône 80hp engine.
Thanks also to Nix, Sinbad, Whiteknight06604, and 33Lima who provided suggestions and resources for the Nieuport 10.

    Version 2
Revised data file by ojcar improves performance and corrects hit box locations for the fuel tanks - thanks to Panama Red for testing.

    Installation instructions:
For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport10" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Airplanes folder. You also need to move the sound file "LeRhone9c80hp1m4.wav" into the FirstEagles/Sounds folder.

For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport10" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Airplanes folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "Nieuport10". Move the folder named "D" from the Airplanes/Nieuport10 folder into the Decals/Nieuport10 folder you just made. You also need to move the sound file "LeRhone9c80hp1m4.wav" into the FirstEagles/Sounds folder.

  8. Nieuport 12

The Nieuport 12 was an improved version of the Nieuport 10. It had a more powerful engine, a larger upper wing and a slightly larger tail plane. These features gave the plane the power and performance to fly as a two man fighter. I have fitted my model with an Etévé gun mount holding a Lewis machine gun in the back, and another Lewis gun on the upper wing for the pilot.

I have included three skinning options, identical except for the decals.

The numbers are fictious, but in the correct range for most Nieuport 12s. British planes carried the serial number on the fuselage.

The Nieuport 12 wasn't used by the Italians, but I included the skin anyway.

The Etévé gun mount ring should be flush with the fuselage, but because of limits in the way the game animates objects, I had to raise it up to avoid it intersecting the plane when it moved.

    Credits:
My thanks once again to Ojcar for making the excellent data.INI file for this plane.
My thanks to Nix for providing the engine sound file.
Thanks also to Nix, Sinbad, Whiteknight06604, and 33Lima who provided suggestions and resources for the Nieuport 12.

    Version 2
Revised data file by ojcar improves performance and corrects hit box locations for the fuel tanks - corrects muzzle location for rear gun - engine sound added - thanks to Panama Red for testing

    Installation Instructions:
For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport12" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Airplanes folder. You also need to move the sound file "clerget9b2m2.wav" into the FirstEagles/Sounds folder.

For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport12" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Airplanes folder. The real RFC Nieuport 24 Lewis had a very short career on the Western Front before transfering to the Middle Eastern Front. Basicaly only one RFC squadron used it for any length of time on the Western Front, and that was the 29th Squadron from Nov 1917 to Feb 1918.

As a result, quack74 created this set of unique decals for all three flights of the RFC 29th Squadron. Included are two sets of skins, the default "dirty" set, and an alternate "clean" set for those who want a difference.

To install this package, do the following:

    FE1:
Install the N24_Lewis folder to your
    .../Aircrafts directory
    Install LeRhone9jb.wav to Sounds directory
    Install Gunsite01 into WeaponData.Dat

    FE2:
Install the N24_Lewis folder to your
    .../Aircrafts directory
Install N24_Lewis decals folder to your
    .../Decals directory
    Install LeRhone9jb.wav to Sounds directory
Install Gunsite01 folder into Weapons directory

  19. Nieuport 17 with wing gun

This is an early Nieuport 17 with a wing mounted "lewis gun"

    From the README;

This is just a mod of the original Nieuport 17 to represent an early model with lewis wing gun.I didn't think of or invent any of the procedures to make it I just appied them to the N17 to get the Vickers off and add the lewis.thanks to MontyCZ and Texmurphy for the original Nieuport 17 and to Capun for allowing me to use his PT17 wing gun.please direct any questions about this mod to me at the below places.while the stats for the wing gun are correct for a Lewis the model is no 100% correct. If someone makes a "true" lewis gun in the future i'll see about adding it if I can secure permission. This Mod includes 2 "Original" skins,A French camo and a Russion. They include the work of the original authors and I take no credit for that.

Any skins for the original should work with this one although you will need to adjust the decal.ini
