Well, this is my second update for the Razbam F-102, the first was pretty well recieved, to the point that Paulopanz is going to be releasing an update to his old skinpack for this aircraft, which by itself is beautiful and works very well with this release, (you just have to rename some stuff in the main ini.), gorgeous work, though. Anyway, I've been doing a little more research and it seems the F-102 was limited to the AIM-4A, AIM-4C and AIM-26A and B.* The other missles in the Razbam Weapons folder are part of the Super Falcon family and were not only physicaly larger but also looked like the ones in McGunny's Weapons Pack; I'm not sure if the stock ones differentiate between them or not. The sources I'm using also cover the Falcons employment in Vietnam in some depth, giving some insight on it's lack of sucess in combat; ie., this may have been due more to the fact that the F-4 did not have the specialized FCS of the aircraft it was designed for than the missle itself. The F-4 pilot had to manually perform a lot of functions that were completely automated when using the MG-10 or MA-1 Fire Control Systems, this and the fact that many of the missles were fired "outside of parameters" leads inescapably to the conclusion that "we" (both the SF1/2 community and TK) may have been entirely too hard on certain aspects of performance (low Accuracy, LockOnChance, Reliability, NoiseRejection, and CounterCounterMeasures values). Realistic modeling might be better realized by limiting TurnRate, SeekerFOV, SeekerGimbleLimit, and SeekerTrackRate; in other words they should probably have a much higher probability of intercept when used in their intended role against large, non-manuvering targets like Soviet bombers than against small nimble fighters. They did not have proximity fuses, being contact fused they would actually have to hit the target in order to pass their OpEvals and be accepted for use. This may sound naive, but I find it hard to believe the Air Force would have flown F-102s and F-106s as long as they did if they thought they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. When used in their intended role, fired from aircraft equipped with the proper FCS I'm thinking these missles should really be much more potent in the SF universe than they are at present. Needless to say, any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
The other thing I'm modeling here is the removal of that damn radar hood; it looks great, and it would be great if you weren't actually trying to fight from this cockpit. This is what I kinda think of as the curse of looking real; at first glance it does look real, however a real Deuce pilot, leaning forward to place his helmet visor against the Radar Hood would have seen an entirely different picture than we do even if we zoom in to the max. The game just does not give us the same view angles; no matter how close we get there is still a huge segment of the radar sacreen we can't see. This update removes the Radar Hood and lets you see the entire radar screen.
So there it is. If you don't like being limited to the AIM-4A and C, with the Nuclear Falcon for those saturation attacks, if you like not being able to see squat on your radar screen even though the real pilots could, don't install this. On the the other hand, if you want a realistic loadout, and you want to be able to fight the aircraft to it's full potential (which seems to be much higher than anyone gave it credit for, if this thing had a gun you could OWN some Migs that gave the F-4, for example, a very hard time), then by all means install this and go out and KILL SOME MIGS.
So drop the aim.4LOD and the parts01bmp. into the remaining AIM-4 missle folders, then just drop the Objects folder into your mod folder and allow to overwrite. Enjoy.
*Edit: 1/05/13. Well wrong again. The AIM-4D is now cleared for use. Seriously, the documentation for this stuff is kinda thin, and what there is is sometimes contradictory. Doin' my best, if you know of any source material, please let me know.

These are just some changes I came up with to fix some problems with Razbam's F-102A Delta Dagger.
1)Fuel guage-Corrected SystemName[021] to read FuselageFuelCell-gauge will now read the fuselage tank. Also changed tank amounts to more closely
reflect actual amount of fuel carried internally; most sources give this as 1,085 Gals or 7,335 Lbs.
2)HydraulicPressureGauge-Changed this to an OIL_PRESSURE_INDICATOR as there is no provision in-game for hydraulic pressure. Obviously not a true
reading, but better than a dead gauge.
3)Drop tanks-Changed these as all references were to 230 Gallon tanks; F-106 had 360's.
4)Fixed Fuel Low Left, Fuel Low Right lights, they now come on with 20Lbs fuel left.
5)Set emer fuel on light to come on at 600Lbs.
6)Changed missle names and added SpecificStationCodes to missles and aircraft to prevent mix-ups with stock or weapons pack missles as these are
larger and protrude thru the fuselage if used in the side bays. Also two AIM-26's with the correct StationCode. After all, if you can't
nuke it, fook it, no? Copy and paste the aim-4 lod.s and parts01 bmp.s from the weapons that came with the plane into their respective folders in
this mod. Install these into your weapons folder in the game. The AIM-26's have their lod.s; they are from McGunny's Ordnance Pack.
7)Fire control system-Changed this to Hughes MG-10; again F-106 was equipped with the MA-1. Adjusted Avionics ini. Search/Track Distance/Strength
entries to match those in the Data ini.
8)Changed the names of the Avionics, Cockpit, and Data ini.'s to be model specific to prevent mix-ups.
9)Added ReverseInput=TRUE and ReverseModelOrientation=TRUE to the rudder statement in the Data ini. to fix incorrect yaw.
After you've placed the aim-4 lod.s etc. in the missle folders just copy and paste the Objects folder either into your Razbam folder or into the
game after you've installed the aircraft.
Credits: Cliff11 for the rudder fix; you can blame me for the rest.
This has been tested in a July 2012 full merged install, it should work in earlier patches but it's untested.

Yak-38 Vertical 0.98 beta
The main reason for me to play Strike fighters 2 is that I can fly a Yak-38 in it )) That how I found this game on the internet. Unfortunately, being an AI plane it was not suitable for player controls... I found Gepard's addon which was the only one out there. It game me a lot of idea I decided to improve the plane's features and game experience. This is a fine tuned or modified collection of everything I could find to improve the plane. Mostly not my work, but I wasted a lot of time to put together and test a working and accurate Yak-38. This was my main and only goal. Try it. Since many things are in testing phase, all feedback is appreciated!
Install
I tried to include every component I have used with this plane, so it should work with a fresh unmodded SF2 NA. If you have DirX 9 and Win XP (like me), then you also need the IcelandNA modded terrain for XP to be able to play SF2NA on your PC.
Just copy everything into your designated add-on folder and it should work. Beware it may overwrite existing add-on files and components you already have. Check it first, especially weapons.
Contents
- Paladrian's MiG-21MF cockpit (temporary solution)
- Yak-38 VTOL flyable.
- Yak-38M VTOL flyable.
- Weapons: OFAB-100, 250, 500 etc from SovietBombPack; Kh-23 missiles, UB-8M, UPK-23 gun pod and MBD2 racks from Ordnance Shop II; APU-60-1 rack from Cocos (not yet in use)

This is a fast repaint of the F-104G Starfighter.
It represents an F-104J Starfighters as used by the Japanese Air Self Defence Force, 1962 to 1986. Since the Japanese were forbidden at the time to have have aircraft with an offensive capability, I removed everything except IRM, but any weapons you want can be re-added.
There squadrons are included, the 302 Hikotai, 206 Hilotai, and the last user of the "J" Starfighter, the Air Proving Wing at Gifu.
This is not a complete aircraft. There are no LOD's, cockpit or avionics included. To make this work properly, you must have the F-104G Starfighter from SF2 Europe, the cockpit from Strike Fighters and the DLC F-4EJ Phantom II since the serial numbers I used are from that aircraft.
Thanks to TK and his crew for the Starfighter and the game.
Enjoy, Pappy
Update adding Brake chute and Formation lighting.
Readme and required files included.
In 1973-75 all DDR and Poland MiG-17F and Lim-5 in good condition were retrofitted with two extra pylons à la polish Lim-6 fighter-bombers. No brake parachute in german ones.
They served in JBG-31 'Klement Gottwald' until 1986, when they were sold to Mozambique. They had original german camo or new light blue livery.
This little add-on came from Spillone104's and my Lim serie and can be very useful for '70-'80 Nato Figthers campaigns (or modded stock ones) to portrait LSK Jabo unit, before it was equipped with new MiG-23BN or for the long waited South African scenario. So I hope You will like it. it long waited on my HD and this evening decided to share.

The Tigercat in Korea - A brief History
VMF-542 Squadron left San Diego for Japan in late August, 1950, the Tigercats being hoisted aboard the small aircraft carrier USS Cape Esperance. After arriving in Japan, the squadron was based at Itazuke AB for a short period but probably didn't operate over Korea at that time. More likely they were just placed on alert status to counter any potential inbound threats.
After the invasion at Inchon on September 15, VMF-542 began deployment to the newly captured airfield at Kimpo [K-14]. They flew their first combat missions from Kimpo on September 20. Operations from Kimpo were in support of the 1st Marine Division as it attacked northward. VMF-542 likely operated from the frozen Chosin Resevoir during that campaign. During this phase most operations were day and night interdiction, combat air support and armed recon but there is an interesting account of a VMF-542 Tigercat escorting a PR Tigercat [VMJ-1?] all the way to Vladivostok and back.
In January, 1951, VMF-542 moved back to Itazuke, Japan. From there the Tigercats conducted long range armed recon missions as well as doing some spotting for naval gunfire.
During February, 1951, VMF-542 was back in Korea, operating from Pusan [K-1] airfield.
In March, 1951, VMF-542 returned to El Toro, California, to begin training on the F3D Skynight. VMF-542's Tigercats and some pilots were transferred to VMF-513, making VMF-513 a composite squadron with both Tigercats and Corsairs. At some point after being transferred to VMF-513 the Tigercats recieved their rather famous flat black paint jobs. With VMF-513 the Tigercats were flown from Pusan mainly at night with the Corsairs operating in the day time. During the night missions the Tigercats would sometimes team up with flare dropping R4D's and PB4Y Privateers.
In June, 1951, VMF-513 moved to Kangnung [K-18], on the east coast of Korea. It was at this point the Tigercats scored there only aerial victorys, shooting down one PO-2 Biplane in June and another PO-2 in July, both shot down during night operations. From Kangnung the Tigercats also flew long night time patrols protecting the valuable radar station at Cho-do. On the return leg the Tigercats would engage any targets of opportunity. Another task was night time ground controlled radar bombing. The Tigercats would be called in by forward air controllers but the bombing run was calculated and directed by ground controlled radar operators. Yet another task was escorting B-26 Invaders during night time interdiction missions.
At the end of March, 1952, VMF-513 moved to Kunsan [K-8] airfield. The front line was quite static at this time allowing a very heavy concentration of anti-aircraft guns to be built up. For night time combat air support operations, a system was devised were two crossed searchlight beams would be used as a reference point while a FAC would give targeting directions to the Tigercat pilot, based on the position of the crossed seachlight beams. After the first Napalm bombs were dropped the FAC would give directions for further drops by referencing the position of the fire from the first drop.
In late summer, 1952, VMF-513 received twelve F3D SkyKnight fighters and the last of the Tigercats were phased out shortly after.
Soviet and Chinese built radar equipped MiG-17 big pack.

IAI NESHER SF2I/Full Merged

IAI NESHER SF2I/Full Merged
Here's the first of a new series of the long Mirage aircraft's family that we are creating with the Banidos Team,
"IAI Nesher", my favorite Delta and one of those more action. But isn't an easy plane to fly, never attempt turns below 300km/h if there is not enough energy.
The package contains new drop tanks and a new detailed model Shafrir missile.
About effects you'll realize when you reach mach 1 that the famous round halo around the plane is generated, it remains only at that speed.
Since I don't know much of Nesher integrated squads, I used the numbers created by Wilco decals for his skins sets for original TW's Nesher.
This model uses the cockpit of TW original of Nesher.

Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) F-4E Kurnass 'Super Phantom' 2000 for Strike Fighters 2
*************** Now with brand new SF2 'Super_F4.LOD' *****************
IAI planned a second level of updating for the Kurnass 2000 (http://combatace.com...ike-fighters-2/) designated the "Super Phantom 2000", in which the aircraft were to be fitted with twin Pratt & Whitney (P&W) PW1120 turbofan engines.
The PW1120 was a derivative of the P&W F100 used on the F-15 and F-16, and was developed for the IAI Lavi fighter program, which was ultimately cancelled. The PW1120 was shorter and lighter than the J79 but almost the same diameter, making installation the Phantom relatively straightforward. The PW1120 offered 25% more dry thrust and 30% more afterburning thrust than the J79.
A single Super Phantom 2000 prototype was implemented and flown at the Paris Air Show in 1987. It could exceed Mach 1 without afterburners and was hoped to become a lucrative update offered by Israel to current Phantom operators.
However the program never went beyond the prototype with the 'official' line being that there were no takers as the cost of the engine update was a significant fraction of the cost of an entirely new aircraft, and nobody thought it sounded like a good deal. Boeing also had considered a similar Phantom update and abandoned the idea. But is is generally accepted that the real reason was McDonnell Douglas/ Boeing scuttled the project because it equalled the F/A-18C/D in performance and endangered any future sales of the F/A-18 and F-15 as current Phantom operators could upgade thier fleet to a similar level instead of having to replace them.
That being said, with the PW1120 engines it is one kick ass Phantom to fly and fight with in the SF2 game! So here it is. Along with the prototype skin that the aircraft wore to the 87 Paris Air show I have also included an operational IAF 119 Squadron skin however it was obviously never used.
None of the default loadouts include any weapons other than drop tanks as the prototype aircraft never carried any. However you can use the single mission editor to load a selection of preset loadouts based on the Kurnass 2000 loadouts.
This mod has its origins in the SFP1 Mirage Factory F-4E Kurnass but most of the 3D work to create the Super Phantom 2000 model has been done by Sundowner.
INSTILATION: Drop files in to appropriate folders, override when asked to.
NOTE: Has only been tested/used in a merged install of ALL SF2 titles

Sundowner for his work on the TMF Kurnass 2000.
And of course the Mirage Factory Team for the original Kurnass Pack.
