Modern Era (4Gen+) Aircraft

Sub Category
    1. This is an update to the SF2 conversion of Florian's Mirage 2000D started by pablitoVPT and EricJ. This is a complete aircraft. Main reason for this update is a new flight model for hard setting with some minor updated avionics and weapons/loadout. Currently flying it in a merged install SF2E, DEC 2009. Your mileage may vary with other SF2 titles/installs. See the readme for details.

    2. This is a simple conversion of the F-16I SUFA for SF2 ISRAEL only. A cockpit is not included, it uses the stock F-16A Netz pit, if you have the know-how to add another pit, go for it. It's converted for SF2 Israel though, and not tested elsewhere. It's a drag and drop installation; see the readme for details.

      Installation:
      --------------------------------------------------
Simply extract the contents of the Mirage 2000-5 folder into your Mods\StrikeFighters2 folder.

Shift 1 will open and close the canopy.

This model uses the Gux's JAS-39C Gripen cockpit and avionics. The cross bar in the Gripen canopy has beem removed to provide a fully transparent canopy. Every effort has been made remove as much of the Beta aspect as possible, but some small issues still remain. The weapon positions on the pylons have been adjusted, the weapon stations have been tweaked to avoid model overlaps, and the weapon loadout has been changed to more closely reflect French and Greek Mirage 2000-E weapons capabilities.
The lighting positions and wheel rolling radius have been corrected. The leading edge slats are functional, and the flight model has been tweaked pretty extensively. A new Hangar Screen, Loading Screen and Loadout image are included.

TORNO's skins make this a very sexy beast. The FM is pretty sporty, and the plane flies and fights nicely. The real Mirage 2000-5 is a very competent multi-purpose fighter bomber, and this model does a pretty good job reflecting that heritage.
Take a look at the Mirage 2000 History.txt file for more detail on the Mirage 2000.

      Enjoy, and good flying.

    8. Contained in this package is the 3D Studio Max model (Release 7) of an SU-25. It includes maps, templates, and models for use as a "getting started" package. There is no support for this package and it's completely freeware, feel free to distribute to whoever would like to get started in Strike Fighters modding.

    9. JH-7A Flounder For SF2

      *******************************************************************************************************************

      These from Wiki:

The Xian JH-7 (Jian Hong-7; NATO reporting name Flounder[1]), also known as the FBC-1 (Fighter/Bomber China-1) Flying Leopard, is a two-seater (tandem), twin-engine fighter-bomber in service with the People's Liberation Army Naval Air Force (PLANAF), and the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). The main contractors are Xian Aircraft Industry Corporation (XAC) and the 603nd Aircraft Design Institute, now named First Aircraft Institute of AVIC-1. The first batch of JH-7 aircraft were delivered to the PLANAF in the mid-1990s for evaluation, and the improved JH-7A variant entered service in 2004.

      3.Then............enjoy it

This is a very nice model of a modern Chinese attack aircraft. The original BETA release has been tuned to fix a few small issues. The Weapon Station attachment positions have been adjusted, the landing gear rolling radius has been tweaked, the engine fans rotate correctly, and the drag parachute works. This bird is nice to look at and brutally efficient at attack and shipping strikes. For any air-to-air work, the PL-8 heaters get the job done!

Shift 0 will open and close the canopy, and the drag parachute will deploy when the airbrakes are activated on the runway.
