  3. Banidos-Team Mirage IIIEA Fuerza Aérea Argentina

In this new release from Banidos Team, we are proud to introduce the first FAA's Deltas, that arrived to Argentina in 1972. Just as the Nesher,
it isn't an easy plane to fly, never attempt turns below 300km/h if there is not enough energy.
The package contains new drop tanks and a new detailed model of Matra R-530 missile, in its two versions, semi-active radar guidance and IR.
About effects you'll realize when you reach Mach 1 that the famous round halo around the plane is generated, it remains only at that speed.
This model uses TW's Shahack cockpit from SF2I.

    INSTALLATION:
Extract the contents of this file and place it in the Mods folder of your SF2I or full merged install.

  4. Dassault Mirage IIIO, RAAF

    Dassault Mirage IIIO, RAAF

    For SF2, Full-4 Merged -or, at MINIMUM!- SF2:E and/or SF2:I

*Note: it should be stipulated at this time, that this aircraft mod is being released as a "stand in" until the proper 3 versions are completed and released by The Mirage Factory. At such time, my reccomendation is to delete this mod, as the TMF versions will be the correct 'body type' for F, A and F/A III0s as used by the RAAF*

This mod creates a 'stand alone' aircraft, using all in-house/in-game stock bits, to recreate some of the Mirage IIIO (F/A) used by the RAAF. This makes this mod slightly historically innaccurate, as mentioned above, there were 3 versions. This sorta kinda combines them.

You MUST have, at the least, SF2:E to access the MirageIIIC lods, and SF2:I to access the Shahak's cockpit. Therefore, this mod is truely, ONLY reccomended for a Full-4 Merged install, as the Game Engine will have full access to all the bits needed from the all the Object cats.

The 5 Skins are included with the pak are:

75 Squadron, in Natural Metal in the 1960s (called 75SqdnOld)
76 Squadron, also in NM for the 1960s (called 76SqdnOld)
    3 Squadron, in gray/green camo for post-1970 usage *
75 Squadron, also in G/G Camo
77 Squadron, also in G/G camo

(3 Sqdn not shown in screenie)
*note: squadron badge decal is active, when in Real Life ™ it was not, according to what little photographic evidence I could discover. A simple edit of the decals ini will remove it for the Historically Correct practicioner.*

As all markings are decals, it should be a simple matter for other skinners to create other squadrons by simply shifting decals around (Example: a NM 3 Squadron).

All new, 100% historically accurate* serial number decals have been created for all aircraft. Data ini edits change (essentially) nothing, but nationalizing the aircraft to Australia, and adding landing lights. A new userlist is incuded . The canopy is activated via an animation key; use shift/0 to open and close it.
Avionics mods add an audio-only RWR, and the Ground Mapping radar seen on the "A" variant, which was added to all at various times, creating the Mirage IIIO F/A. It's active on ALL, so just pretend. Loadouts are standard 3rdWire. No weapons pak is needed, and it should work with any/all/or none (ie: stock weapons)

*My research has shown that pretty much ALL the 116 III0s served with pretty much ALL RAAF Mirage squadrons at one time or another. So, don't be surprised to see some serials duplicated.*

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me.

    Good Hunting!
    Wrench
    kevin stein

NOTE: this pack became moot with the release of the Oz Mirage DLC package. However, this one WILL still work, some a little renaming edit to remove conflicting names, and/or these decals can EASILY be used on the DLC Mirage IIIO

  7. F-103 Mirage IIIEBR Brazilian Air Force (refuelling probe)

F-103 Mirage IIIEBR Brazilian Air Force (refuelling probe)

Install - Need Update July 2012, DLC Mirage IIIO and DLC Mirage IIIEL

The F-103 Mirage IIIEBR represented a tremendous leap to the Brazilian Air Force, being over thirty years of service and more than 65,000 flying hours.

The versions of Mirage III acquired by FAB were developed primarily for air defense missions, but keep some capacity to act as platforms for ground attack.

The engine was a SNECMA ATAR 09C, whose maximum thrust with afterburning reached 13,900 pounds (6305 kg), leading the aircraft a maximum speed of Mach 2.2 (2,350 km / h).

The fire control system was based on radar Thomson-CSF Cyrano II, which originally operated the integrated air-to-air missile infrared Matra R530, later replaced by Israeli missile Python III.

As arms fixed, the aircraft was equipped with two 30 mm DEFA. For navigation, the Mirage III FAB type Doppler systems used. In the early '90s, the FAB joined the Squadron's missions Jaguar air-ground attack, starting to use free-fall bombs and rocket launchers.

    Upgrading the F-103

In 1989 all F-103s entered a limited upgrade program. The upgrade consisted of the installation of canards and some minor mechanical and structural modifications. In 1991/1992 one F-103E (FAB 4929) received a refuelling probe installation and on April 22, 1992, the aircraft made its first refuelling contact with a KC-130H of the 1º/1º GT. The modified F-103 flew until 1993 but was then retired and the program to install refuelling probes on all Mirage fleet was cancelled.(The number FAB-4928, FAB-4930 and FAB-4931 are fictitious!)

  9. F-103E and F-103D - Mirage III Brazilian Air Force PACK

F-103 Mirage III Brazilian Air Force

Install - Need Update July 2012, DLC Mirage IIIO (DLC Mirage IIIEL optional cockpit)

    History
The history of the Mirage III in Brazil goes back to the sixties, when the FAB elaborated a modernization program and the creation of an air space control system. In 1967 the implementation started of the SISDACTA- Sistema Integrado de Defesa Aérea e Controle de Tráfego Aéreo (Integrated Air Traffic Control and Air Defence System) and of the COMDA-Comando de Defesa Aérea (Air Defence Command).

As part of the program, it was necessary to acquire a supersonic aircraft to execute the air defence and interception missions. The FAB's initial desire was to obtain the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, however it could not be materialised because of American restrictions on the sale of advanced military equipment to South American countries.

With the Phantom out of the game, the remaining option was to look for an European fighter. Among the contenders were the British English Electric Lightning, the Swedish Saab Draken and the French Dassault-Breguet Mirage IIIE. About the same time, the Mirage IIIC, in the hands of the Israeli pilots, inflicted heavy losses to its Arabic neighbours in the 'Six Day War'. There is no doubt that the Mirage III's excellent performance, achieved by the Israelis in that war, helped Dassault-Breguet secure many clients around the world, including Brazil.

    Operational Career
On April 11, 1979, the 1º GDA ( Primeiro Grupo de Defesa Aérea – First Air Defence Group) was officially established. On April 19, 1979, the 1º ALADA was disbanded and the 1º GDA took over its functions and F-103 aircraft. The 1º GDA remained stationed at Anápolis AB.

During its operational career in Brazil, the Mirage III fleet suffered some attrition and many additional airframes were bought to replace the lost ones and to keep up the 1º GDA's combat readiness. In total, Brazil acquired 16 additional aircraft from Armée de L’Air surplus. These consisted of four F-103E in 1980, two F-103D in 1984, two F-103E in 1988, two F-103D and two F-103E in 1989, two F-103E in 1998 and the last two F-103D in 1999.

  11. Mirage III, Pakistani Air Force Pak

Mirage III Set, Pakistani Air Force
    - For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged Installs -

-- Another Addition For The India-Pakistan Mod --

*Please note if not fully merged, at minimum, you =MUST= also have SF2:V, SF2:E, and SF2:I, as the ROSE Mirage references the A-7D_78 cockpit, and various "parts" from the F-15 and F-16 Netz. Hence, the call for "Full-4/5 Merged" If you do NOT meet these requirements, do NOT download this mod as you'll be unable to use it.*

This pack contains 3 complete aircraft:

MirageIIIEA (ex-RAAF, hence "A" for Australia), with ROSE upgrade
    MirageIIIEL (ex FAL, Lebannon)
    MirageIIIEP (for Pakistan)

All skin textures are jpg, and Decal randomization is set to TRUE. Almost all weapons are supplied; several of the unguided rockets and the AIM-9L/9P use stock 3W items (of course, if you have 3rdParty ones in your install, it'll use them). ECM/CM pods have been updated to the latest SF2 standards.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! For Historical Purposes, all original TMF readmes are included.

Dedicated to the memory of bpao; Oli you're missed!

    Happy Landings!

The Armée de l'Air also ordered a two-seat Mirage IIIB operational trainer, which first flew in October 1959. The fuselage was stretched about a meter (3 ft 3.5 in) and both cannons were removed to accommodate the second seat. The IIIB had no radar, and provision for the SEPR rocket was deleted, although it could carry external stores. The AdA ordered 63 Mirage IIIBs (including the prototype), including five Mirage IIIB-1 trials aircraft, ten Mirage IIIB-2(RV) inflight refueling trainers with dummy nose probes, used for training Mirage IVA bomber pilots, and 20 Mirage IIIBEs, with the engine and some other features of the multi-role Mirage IIIE. One Mirage IIIB was fitted with a fly-by-wire flight control system in the mid-1970s and redesignated 'Mirage IIIB-SV (Stabilité Variable); this aircraft was used as a testbed for the system in the later Mirage 2000.

The Dassault Mirage III is a family of single-seat, single-engine, fighter aircraft produced by Dassault Aviation for the French Air Force and widely exported. Prominent operators included Australia, Argentina, South Africa and Israel, as well as a number of nonaligned nations. Though an older design, the second generation fighter is still a fairly maneuverable aircraft and an effective opponent in close range dogfighting. In French service it was armed with air-to-ground ordnance or R.550 Magic air-to-air missiles.

The versatility of the design enabled production of trainer, reconnaissance and ground-attack versions as well as the Dassault Mirage 5, Dassault Mirage IIIV and Atlas Cheetah variants. A Mirage III was the first European combat aircraft to exceed a speed of Mach 2 in horizontal flight.

  18. Mirage IIIBS

    Mirage IIIBS

The two-seater Mirage for conversion training, first flew on October 21, 1959 and received the designation Dassault Mirage IIIB.
The fuselage is 60 cm longer than the single seat, and the two cabins are closed by a single cover. As the rear cabin occupies the space for avionics in single-seat, this equipment usually goes in the nose, instead of radar. Thus, training the Mirage III can not perform interception missions, although they have limited ground attack capability.

The first Mirage IIIB of the production line for the Air Force of France flew on 19 July 1962. While maintaining the Atar 9B engine 6000 kg of thrust, the plane weighs little and performs well. Among the countries that have acquired Mirage training, most of them with guns, was Israel (Mirage IIIBJ), Lebanon (IIIBL), South Africa (IIIBZ) and Switzerland (IIIBS).

This mod represents the 4 escadres de chasse (fighter wings) that ever flew Mirage IIIC :

La 2ème Escadre de Chasse based at Dijon
La 5ème Escadre de Chasse based at Orange
La 10ème Escadre de Chasse based at Creil
La 13ème Escadre de Chasse based at Colmar

I also added 3/10 squadron based at Djibouti.

IMPORTANT : This mod has been developed for SF2 Europe and SF2 Israël in "merged" version, no .lod file are provided.
Those are high resolution skins (2048x2048), if your computer can't handle them I suggest you resize them to 1024*1024 or even 512*512, only thing is you will loose some details, but they will work fine

    Installation :

1- make a backup of the "Mirage3C" folder.
2- Uncompress this file in a temporary folder.
3- copy the "Objects" folder in your addons (mods) folder.

    Credits :

TK for his game and the Mirage IIICJ which is the base of this mod.
    PGC for some decals.

And a big thank you to those on C6 and Combatace forums who helped me solve all issues I encountered.

Be assured if I forgot somebody it's a mistake, let me know and I'll adapt asap.

This addon may be used or further modded according to the Combatace "rules" but in all cases it is and has to remain free.

    Enjoy.

  21. Mirage IIIC (SEPR)

    Mirage IIIC (SEPR)

The new fighter design was named the Mirage III. It incorporated the new area ruling concept, where changes to the cross section of an aircraft were made as gradual as possible, resulting in the famous "wasp waist" configuration of many supersonic fighters. Like the Mirage I, the Mirage III had provision for a SEPR rocket engine.

The prototype Mirage III flew on 17 November 1956, and attained a speed of Mach 1.52 on its 10th flight. The prototype was then fitted with manually operated intake half-cone shock diffusers, known as souris ("mice"), which were moved forward as speed increased to reduce inlet turbulence. The Mirage III attained a speed of Mach 1.8 in September 1957.

The success of the Mirage III prototype resulted in an order for 10 pre-production Mirage IIIA fighters. These were almost two meters longer than the Mirage III prototype, had a wing with 17.3% more area, a chord reduced to 4.5%, and an Atar 09B turbojet with afterburning thrust of 58.9 kN (13,230 lbf). The SEPR rocket engine was retained, and the aircraft were fitted with Thomson-CSF Cyrano Ibis air intercept radar, operational avionics, and a drag chute to shorten landing roll

  24. Mirage IIIDBR

    Mirage IIIDBR
