What's New in Version 5.0.0
Released
Major FM rework (credit alfa2):
- Aircraft Mass & Moments of Inertia Adjusted to Reference Values and the TW guideline for MOI Calculation
- Mach Limit increased to 2.2 to reflect the Maximum Achieved Mach Number during the aircraft's Type Acceptance Tests (Operational Limit is 2.1 Mach)
- Max G limit increased to 8.5 to reflect the relaxation of structural limits during the service life of the aircraft due to its sturdy construction (Service Entry Limit was 7.2 g's and Service End Limit was 8.5 g's)
- SL Speed Limit increased to 750 KIAS to overcome SF2 code deficiency of extending the SL Speed Limit to the entire Flight Envelope (Operational Limits: 700 KIAS up to 20k Feet/750 KIAS above 20K Feet).
- Control Damping Factors minimized to expose the bare airframe fine handling and agility.
- Airframe Lift generation & distribution adjusted so as to reflect the aircraft aerodynamic configuration.
- Longitudinal & Lateral Stability Derivatives Adjusted to as much as possible reflect the aircraft's normal Handling.
- Pitch control authority enhanced by adjusting the Stabilizers' management.
- Stall Onset & Post Stall Behavior adjusted to as much as possible reflect the aircraft's docile characteristics at high Angles of Attack.
- Fictional G-limiters added to as much as possible control the SF2 code deficiency allowing the plane to reach unrealistic g-levels.
- Landing gear Shocks extension and Wheels' Rolling Radius adjusted to the new weight.
