JediMaster Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I was going to say, "I know that cockpit!" I remember it well from Jane's F-15 which I flew a lot of 11 years ago. Quote
DarthRevan Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Will there be a new Mudhen model too? I'm happy with the one we have now just curious Quote
kct Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Current model is fine as it is. But seriously we could do with a new cubicle to sit in. Quote
JediMaster Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 The problem with the F-117 is it's a bit of a bore to fly. Onyl carried 2 LGBs max, don't think it ever used anything else operationally. Although it was never publicly stated, I don't think it had any ECM or chaff/flares. Antennas were a problem for stealth in the 80s until they came up with a fix, and dispensers require openings. The F-117 relied simply on HMS Training Film (No. 42, PARA. 6.) "How Not To Be Seen." One time it was, over Bosnia. Quote
+Brain32 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 One time it was, over Bosnia. Small correction, over Belgrade capital of Serbia... Quote
eraser_tr Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 The F-117 relied simply on HMS Training Film (No. 42, PARA. 6.) "How Not To Be Seen." You mean Even if it would be relatively boring to fly, it's still a necessity to have for ops in the 80s/90s. You simply cannot have desert storm without it. Quote
+Spectre_USA Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I think it would be a Sierra Hotel platform to drive in on night 1. Whiz in at 20K, over the Apaches and others, pop a pair of high value HQ buildings, then point it toward home, then wing leveler. Go outside and watch the rest of the show unfold as you scoot out in the dark. Yee-ah! Quote
