As far as I know we havent done anything to the AI. I mean we have no ability to control the wingman in that regard as far as I know. We didnt add any mod to their behavior. I have all but given up on the AI coming back to base and landing. I land myself then end the mission, because you never know what they are going to do.

I've noticed that happening in all flavors of Wo* since the last patches. If anybody in your flight gets attacked by sams, you have to recall them, because if you don't they'll wander off and start gunning the sam site... with all the sams flying around in this mod, it's just a bit more obvious - but I didn't realize it was going on until I used the map view to find out where everybody went! Just order them to re-form or RTB after you get shot at, and all should be good...

I did the "fast forward" after completing the mission and had no issues about them joining up. Of course with all the air pollution (i.e. Iraqi MIGs) I'm forced to drop a bomb, dodge SAMs (easy parts) and babysit my wingnut (most annoying part). I'd like to just go it solo as usual, but the amount of air threats makes him a real necessary evil if I don't get a CAP or Escort flight in the area.

That's it!!

That's exactly what's happening. They are responding to threats and there's soooo many more.

Thanks for the replies.

And thanks, again for the incredible mod. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

An entry like

starttime=02:00 works in the campaign and can make for mission start in the deep of the night, as i think happened historically:

I don't know though if it was 2:00 AM, anyone knows exactly=?

I think around 2:45 things started blowing up.

Once again let me give thanks to all involved that made this MOD happen :good:

It took forever to download but it was certainly worth the wait! After doing two test flights in an F-117 and one in an F-111 i'm ready to go into action.

When i'm safely egressing i like to F6 and check things out. The greatest thing i've seen in a while is watching an FNG Tomcat driver using guns on an Iraqi MIG 23 that was definetly on the defensive. Despite having the MIG saddled perfectly the FNG couldn't connect and ran out of ammo. As he broke to one side the MIG broke to the other and it seemed like that was it. However, about 10 seconds later a Hornet came zooming in from 7High and gunned the MIG down with with a minimum of fuss.

One of the easiest kills i've ever witnessed.

I think thats what's it in this game, just when you think you done it all and you are ace of aces, along comes a beaver...either that or its a new plane or a new terrain...or its ODS!

Thanks again folks.

Yup... Yup... Yup...

This is one heck of a campaign... I've been shot to pieces in just about every single type of coalition hardware, and have had my butt handed to me more times than I'd care to recount here. It's been a long time since a "pooter-pilot" managed to whack me, but from day one, this mod has been a humbling experience. It's a beautiful piece of work... even if I keep gettin' whacked! About the only thing I haven't been shot down in is the Wobbly Goblin... but the first time I tried landing it I came in so hot, I had to hit the escape key to get out before I "blowed up real good" after sailing off the runway. Tsk...tsk...tsk... must practice more!

I am on the 14th of March, 1991 in my campaign, flying Strike Eagles. It was very cool seeing all the Alliance armored units "light up" on the 24th of Feb, and

start heading in, like was done historically.

Prior to this it was hitting airfields over and over, also like the real deal.

Since the ground war kick-off, the missions have been mud-moving magnificence! Little to no air opposition, unless you count the SAMs and AAA, which I certainly

do. Too bad TK's troops are as good as the real guys were.

It just re-inforces how amazing those guys were, back in the day...
