+allenjb42 4,233 Posted February 5, 2009 Well someone could always mod this to the Micropose version of the F-117, which was like their F-19, with an internal gun and 4 weapons bays that could carry just about anything in the USAF arsenal.

Well someone could but Marcelo does not what it modified or released outside of the DS mod.
SayethWhaaaa 245 Posted February 5, 2009 Just curious, but does the F-117 have air brakes? I noticed their absence during approach after a sortie and it struck me. Is it just absent from the model, or does the RL aircraft lack them?

+DoctorQuest 125 Posted February 5, 2009 F-117s have neither flaps, nor airbrakes. Landing speed is between 165-175 knots. Yup. You may need to make an additional circuit to reduce airspeed or bank back and forth a bit to lose airspeed. I actually land at closer to 155-160 knots. The real F-117 also has a braking chute. I find the wheel brakes work just fine since I don't foot the bill for brake work All in all a great aircraft and one of my personal favorites. Hats off to Marcelo for his efforts on this one. I'm sure it is not the easiest aircraft to model.

Marcelo penned up a .lod that was equipped with a braking chute (you'll find an entry for it in the data.ini). Being the perfectionist that he is, he will not release it, until the animation is working to his satisfaction.
+DoctorQuest 125 Posted February 5, 2009 He's the man! I am not at all surprised that he is well on top of it. Thanks for the update.

Well, since Dave said that, you can go the "I'll put some of the bits here and you'll gets the other bits yourself" route.
